Heya,
Just before I started writing this update, I got the news of Arnav-Khushi marriage promo, and seriously I couldn't be happier, like seriously not any more than I am. I really don't care if it was out of hate, well they are together that's what matters most to me.
The bestest Valentine's Day gift ever! I wrote this update on Valentines Day even though I didn't post it on Valentine's Day, it would be out of order that way, but sure it's got that essence in it I assure you all of that.
Pleasant reading.
🤗
Anj: We should be going..please hurry up! Choote and Khushi must be their way down.
Shyam sulked as he heard his wife saying his Khushi ji's name with someone else. The sound of it ringed in his ears, so bad, that he could not resist the voice and kept his hands on his ears, to stop the violent ringing in his head. He was crazy for her, crazier than anybody could imagine, and his own crazy self fed on the love of Arnav and Khushi.
Anj: (pulling at his arm) Chalein na.. humein jana chayein..app chaltein kyun nahin.. (Common we should go, why don't you come along..)
Shy: (angrily) Rani Sahiba..hum arahein hain..humara haath khenchna band kijiyee.. ( Rani Sahiba I am coming..stop pulling my hand..)
Anjali looked at him with a hurt expression on her face. He never acted like this, never this rude, but since the last six months or so, his trips were getting frequent, his moods swings were getting intense, and whatever she did somehow or the other it offended him. She really had no idea what was in his mind, what was that he wanted, there was just one thing that she wished, from the bottom of her heart, that her past wound't eat on her healed wounds again, and inflict pain that her brother had filled in with his love. She couldn't resist betrayal one more time.
Shy: (realizing his harsh tone, cupped her face in his hands) I am sorry Rani Sahiba..I didn't mean to..talk to you like that..you are right we should go..
Anjali gave him a faint confused smile, still not getting his awkward behavior and arm in arm, the couple walked out of their room to the hall outside that was heavenly decorated.

Arnav and Khushi stood in the corridor together waiting for Payal and Aakash to come out. Even though standing arm in arm with each other it was getting difficult for them to maintain steady eye contact. The air seemed heavy around them, and even though both of them wished to say something to the other, words hung unspoken. None could utter a word in fear of the reaction they would get from the other.
Khushi stole glances at the anxious, demanding face of her husband. She knew he was thinking about what had happened earlier, how she had acted so vulnerable and dependent. It was something new for her, to see her self lose like that, she had a typical kind of confidence in her that women usually didn't hold. She had stood with it, and that is what had made her get this man, her pride had matched his ego head to head. They had fought with so many odds, to finally be together, it was an internal war that had inflicted pain, it was unknown pain that crept in their heart, but today she felt as if she was no longer the warrior she had been. She was letting him command her, to which she did not object, but she could see in his eyes, his expressions spoke volumes to her. He was not happy commanding her, he loved her for what she was, and not for what he had originally wanted her to be. He had wanted her to work like he wanted, and now that she had given him the chance to that, he didn't like the idea of it, not even a bit. He had accepted her for herself, he loved her for being Khushi and not for being what Khushi Singh Raizada for him was.
In their hearts they wished to stand their stationary forever no one breaking their silent thoughts but a part of them, the more demanding one, wanted this uncomfortable silence to end. They could not resist each other near, however far. Thoughts joined them, but the link currently was broken. He had questions in his mind that he wanted her to answer. She had answers in her mind that she wanted him to questions about.
Slowly the atmosphere between the two turned towards the normal phase as Aakash and Payal came out of their room arm in arm, smiling at each other. Crawling out of their fantasy land they looked at the couple standing in front them, a expression of annoyance on their faces, as they had been waiting for what seemed hours to them.
Ar: (scrunching up his nose) Aakash, do you remember that I do exist?
Aak: (breaking his eye lock with Payal) Bhai..I..was..
Ar: (an irritated look) Khushi and I have been waiting for the last 15 minutes for the two of you to come out.
Pa: Bhai we are sorry..its me who took time.
Ar: You better be sorry. Your sister was ready before I came.
Payal nodded, and looked at Khushi who was looking down at her shoes, to avoid possible eye contact with anyone. She could see the tensed look on her face and the uncomfortable feeling in her heart made Payal want to hug her. But she knew she couldn't. She knew she would have to let her be how she was, because that was the only thing she could possibly do. Her eyes went from Khushi's almost hidden face to Arnav's worried face. Well, she realized Babuji was right after all. He was a demon to everybody, the rudest person that she had met, but it was evident that for whatever he was to others it did surely not apply on her sister. He loved her sister dearly, and cared for her to what knew no limits. Her uneasiness was growing up on him too, and even though if not sharing the same thoughts he was trying hard to share the same emotion with her.
Arnav looked at Khushi standing beside her head down, and lightly nudged her with his shoulder to which she looked up startled and for the first time now realized that she and Arnav were not alone but Payal and Aakash were standing there too, waiting for them to take the lead. Arnav communicated with his eyes with her, telling her to move to which she responded, and both of them walking in front of them, with Payal and Aakash behind them walked down the royal stair case of the Raizada hall.
The hall downstairs was brightly lid with chandeliers all around, balloons decorating every corner of the hall. Fairy lights hung here and there giving an elegant look to the hall. Downstairs the crowd cheered as the two beautiful couples simultaneously descended the stairs. Anjali looked at her two brothers with their brides, and smiled a lone tear escaping her eyes flowing down her cheeks making her look like the angel she was. Beside her husband looked in intense envy, at the couple he so hated to see together. That uneasiness on her face was not missed by him to which he smirked, making him feel proud of the kind of effect his truth had made on her.
Khushi looked downstairs and as her eyes caught sight of the snake she regretted meeting, cold shivers went down her spine. Her knees were buckling making it difficult for her to hold her weight, fear growing in her heart, pounding at such a pace that she felt the need to lie on her bed that very moment. She could hear muffled noises at people awing at her beauty. She could see others marveling at the perfection of their couple, and a few loan characters feeding on alcohol. Even though the room was brightly lit with every possible kind of decoration light available, she was unable to make out the faces of the people endlessly staring at her. Her vision was hazy, her pupil going smaller with every second not letting the image on her retina form clearly. The world was a blur to her because she was in darkness. Unknown horror crept over her, and to counter it, she gripped Arnav's shoulder tighter to steady herself, and find support that she had long lost.
Arnav felt her grip tighten, moving his skin inside. That grip he knew was out of fear, of something, and not relaxed as it was. Earlier the grip was tensed, but controllable now it seemed she was doing it out of desperation, to stop her self from falling into a pit she feared she would disappear into.
He followed her gaze and stared bewildered to where it ended. On Jeeja ji yet again. So she was getting uneasy because of Jeeja ji? Arnav felt his mind pop out of his cranium. It made him feel like banging his head to the wall. The one thing that he did not want to believe was rushing towards him. He didn't want to believe what he believed was the problem, he didn't want to give in so easily to such negative thoughts, but it seemed that every single thing around him was forcing him to think like that. To think that his Jeeja ji was losing control. To think that his Jeeja ji had some pre connection with Khushi. To think that his Jeeja ji was betraying his Di. He shook his head violently, tagging himself as crazy and looked at her, trying to read her eyes but she quickly looked away, and diverting her attention towards the crowd that was coming forward to meet her, greeting them in the most juvenile and polite manner she could manage. Seeing her faint enthusiasm he too did the same successfully hiding his worry and anxiety over seeing her like this.
Aakash and Payal on the other hand were doing the same, however she, Payal was lost somewhere else. This time like at the wedding she didn't need to search for the snake, he was right there, with an evil smirk on his face, looking at her sister with full concentration. She felt the blood in her rise, and an urge to break his head crept on to her. Collecting as much patience as she could gather she calmed her nerves and diverted her attention to the hyper active crowd. Aakash just stared at his wife and her weird actions. He knew something was on her mind that she wanted to tell but couldn't tell due to some reason he did not know. He had not failed to miss the uneasy look that she had looked at Jeeja ji with. He wondered what had happened; it was scarce of Payal to act so fidgety in front of anyone like that.
The greetings done with, and the two couples of honor having had met the guests, both of them led by Anjali were taken to the four seats where they were supposed to sit in the middle of the Raizada living room. It seemed certainly fit for grandeur, and something that would have got all connections by any definition with 'royalty'.
Arnav just looked at Khushi's nervous, tensed face as she continued to look down, sitting on the seat. Not once since the time they had come down that he had seen her even smile. Genuinely smile. Their was laughter around them, chatter around them, love blossomed in the air between the couples present, but Arnav and Khushi just sat admiring what they could not have. Tension had killed it all. Nothing was as it was supposed to be, nothing was as it had been planned, their were smiles, but plastered, laughter but fake, claps, but soundless.
The evening passed them only attending to the guests that came to meet them, hardly even looking at each other at the same time. Anjali saw the uneasiness that had crept up to them, and wondered what had happened. Her life was a whole lot of confusion too, she couldn't go out figuring other people's. She couldn't understand why here husband had changed, she couldn't understand why whenever she called him, and he would busy looking at Khushi. She smiled, knowing that he admired her brother's choice but little did she know that it was not out of admiration that he stared her but out of lust. Life for the people of Raizada mansion was complicated, no one was devoid of their confusion, roaming somewhere in their minds, however surrounding the same plot.
Slowly music filled their ears, the brightly lit lights now giving minimal light, the hall dimly lit with a few fairy lights here and there, as the DJ started playing some romantic tunes on Anjali's request to lighten up the mood. The guest swayed to the romantic tunes enjoying every bit of the love songs.
Suddenly Aakash stood up, and like a gentlemen offered his hand to Payal for a dance, to which Payal shyly responded by keeping her hand in his outstretched palm. He gripped the outstretched palm of his wife lovingly and led her to the dance floor. The crowd cheered and dispersed forming a circle to allow the newly wedded couple to dance.
**Please listen to this song, while you read the next bit, it's the same song they are dancing on, and apparently my favorite song too**
Aakash and Payal stood in the middle of the stage the blue spot light on them, keeping their hand firmly around each other lost in each other's eyes, unaware of the world around them, they dazzled to the tunes of the beautiful song.
Tu Jahan Main Wahan
Sang Sang Youu Chalun Tere Jaise Tera Aasmaan
For the first time in the last few hours, Khushi looked up to see her sister dancing with her brother in law, loving every moment of it. I lone tear escaped her eye lids, as she looked at the over whelming passion that blossomed between them. She was happy for her, that she had no worries in her life, all the liberty in her life to live to the fullest, unlike her, who just sat their awing at the couple. Their life was so sorted, so full of love, with no hindrances in between. With no villains who could claw at their happiness, with no demons who would look at them with envy, it was beautiful, heaven.
Arnav had not a missed a single difference in her expression. Their was finally something in her expression, and he felt so proud of her for being that. Even through all the trouble, she didn't care for her happiness but for the people who she loved. She was happy for her sister, even though she herself was not happy. He cursed himself for not making her happy, for not filling her enough with his love, to compensate for all the losses in her life. He felt himself fall apart, fall down, to see her so helpless so lonely. He seemed to be there, but he really knew he was not there. He couldn't bear her tears anymore, not anymore, he had to bring a smile, and for that he would do whatever it would take him, everything.
He stood up from his seat, firmly and looked at her still awing the couple on the dance floor. His standing up caused his chairs to slightly creaking diverting everybody's attention towards him, even her. She looked at him in surprise to se what he wanted to do. Boldly, he offered his hand to her and topped with a small smile, patiently waited for her answer. She just stared at him bewildered, highly surprised at his sudden action. She could see the crowd looking at her, all of them waiting for her to reply. She could see him looking at her; she could see that Shyam was looking at her with intense venom in his eyes. Hatred sprouts out from him like a fountain overflowing with water. She saw that evil shimmer in his eyes, making her more determined to accept her husband's polite request.
Eventually she kept her dainty little fingers, in his palm, and as he closed it tightly he slowly led her to the floor, next to the already dancing couple. As they stood on the floor, under the red spotlight facing each other eyes talked and he silently thanked her for accepting his offer. She blinked twice to let him know that she could never deny him. Slowly raising up her hand, he kept it on his shoulder and his own hand around her bare waist, sending tingling sensations through her back, She slightly shivered under his touch, and even though unintentionally let out a smile, for his effort to make her happy. She knew too well that he was deeply troubled over her state, and this was a big effort on his part to make her happy. He didn't dance, she knew that just too well, but for her, and only her he was willing to give up that too. He was dancing just for her, and that only made her love him all the more.
The music continued, as the audience cheered now for the second couple on the floor, who too seemed mesmerized in each other's eyes.
Jo Dhoop Nikli, Chayaa Ban Jaoo Ga
Jo Ho Tum Akele Saya Ban Jao Ga
Jo Uljhan Mein Ho Man Main Bhelao Ga
The lyrics absorbed in their ears, and to her it felt he was saying all that too her. His eyes told her that. He was looking into hers deeply to find any traces of answer, but not having been able to find that, it seemed he was taking great aid from the song that was playing. It was like he was giving her the assurance that she could blindly trust him with everything, with any problem with any confusion. He would always be there for her to help her, to console to her, to be with her. He had promised her that he would never leave her hand, never, and that he meant to stick with it for all the life times they were to be together. She never should feel alone in his presence, he would if not physically mentally always be with her, in her heart. Their heart beats connected them, their minds connected them, they were two bodies one soul.
Through his eyes, he promised her of never leaving her, never letting any harm come to her, never let any pain inflict, never let even a ray of sunlight damage her. He would be her umbrellas, he would be her walking stick when she got old, he would be her pillow when she wanted to sleep, he would be her teddy when she wanted to cry, he would be her parent when she needed guidance, be her husband when she wanted love, he would be everything to her which she wanted him to be, that is if that is what made her happy, he had no issues with being anything. With being used in any way she wanted. The only thing he wished from her side was her support, and her trust on him. That's what he yearned for, for a feeling of belonging for a feeling of love.
As he twirled her around in his fingers, the next set of lyrics reached them, as a reply from her side. She was speaking it out through the song what she never could tell him.
Tum Aa Gaye Hun Tu Jeena Aaya Hain
Khushiyun Ka Tumne Yeh Jaal Bechayaa Hain
She smiled at him weakly telling him that she had full faith on him. That he was the person responsible for bringing light into her life, light that was previously missing from her life. She had everything with her, parents, siblings, but that love that she yearned for that love from her prince, that love which would make an entire stranger to her, her most treasured pocession. She had dreamt of that, and he had stepped right into her life like a dream. He had made her cry out of wonder, shake her out of fear, but in the end he had turned into something she had never imagined he would be like. She felt it was still I dream, she still felt lost, it scared her if everything that was happening to her was true, if he really was real, or just an illusion. Would he disappear from her life, and leave her alone like everything else did, or stay with her till eternity?
She twirled for a second time, expressing her highest gratitude to him for making her fall in love with him. In love with the man he was. He had given her eternal happiness, that not only compensated for all the pain he had given her, but for the pain any one else would give her. He brought her to discover an entirely new meaning of life, to love life all the more, to think of it in the most positive manner. He had dragged her into the real world, which was full of hard truths, but not devoid of true feelings. Of true love, which was no where near that she had dreamt of.. She had heard love tales, she had heard about Soni-Mahiwal, and Heer-Ranjha and she wished of having her own love tale, and through him she was able to live that dreamt. He was part of her love tale, the main character, the one who was in her memories, in her dreams, her lover, her Arnav, and truly hers.
As the twirl ended with her thoughts, she landed right back into his arms again, his grip around her even more steady than last time, their faces more closer now and like automatically one of her hand rested itself on top of where his heart lay. Which beat for her, which cared for her, which was effected with every movement of her, that heart more than his was hers.
Khoya Hain Khud Ko Ya Sab Kuch Paya Hain
The line itself felt like she had thrown a question to him which she had always wanted to ask, although she knew he would have no answer. She had never wanted to be dependent on anybody, she had lived her life independently, and never had she even asked for anything from anyone except Devi Maiyan. Whatever she wanted for herself, she got it through her own hard work. But for the first time, she felt glad to have lost herself to him. To lost herself in the wilderness of his love. The red in his love, had activated the red in her love, making it so dark that if seen would hit macro vision. It was strong, and bonded with such force that was inseparable. They were a part of each other now. It felt great to lose her to him, because it only meant getting everything. Losing herself would earn her such bounties that nobody could imagine of. His love came to her with everything she wanted, their was nothing more she would wish for.
Tu Jahan Main Wahan
Sang Sang Youu Chalun Tere Jaise Tera Aasmaan
His features relaxed a bit on getting her contented smile and a smile on her face too. She was smiling at him however faintly, but he didn't mind. At least she was doing that, and to him dancing made him feel so glad. He mentally congratulated himself for getting what he wanted for. This made the smile on his face broaden, making her happy to limits that even she did not know about. He was there with her always and forever.
Ho Gam Ke Badal MujhPe Tham Jaane De
Bechainiyun Ko Mujh Sein Takranein Dein
Dukhti Hun Koi Baat Mujh Pein Aane Dein
His grip on her tightened even more and she inched in towards him, stepping on his shoes. She was holding more tightly on his shoulders now, causing him to make both of them float in their world. They saw deep into each others eyes communicating unspoken words. To him, even though assured, he still wanted to make her surer, that he was there, he was ready to take in all her worries all her sorrows. They were all his, everything that was hers was his, her sorrows, were his sorrows, her happiness was his happiness, her tears were his tears.Their souls were connected by the magical bond they had tied with each other yesterday. It had changed them, not only their external behavior but their internal ones too. Now they were no more living for themselves, but for each other who they love, her effected, affected him too.
He tried to ask her again of the problem that was aching her heart to such an extent that it was inches away from popping out of her chest. His eyes showed desperation of knowing what the problem but, but she just stared in them without any expression hiding her sorrows as much as she could. He tried to tell her, that he wanted to share her sorrow; he wanted to have it all if possible. To take away the burden off her shoulders and on his own, which were far better than hers. He couldn't see her dainty form crumbling, her fragile form threatening to break apart. He wanted to be the bond for her, that sticked every part of her with him.
Dil Soochta Thaan Key Koi Apna Ho
She looked into his eyes, who pleaded her to share her sorrow with him. Who pleaded her to tell him what it that was troubling her was. But she kept shut, and broke that sensational eye lock that had occurred between them. She could not let him see through her, she could not let him know what was troubling her. She clutched on to his shoulders more tightly, letting him drift her to where ever he wanted. She was with him in his arms, there was nothing that she feared now, and as long as he was there like a wall around her to support him she would hold on to every sorrow.
Koi Raaz Na Ho Jo Ausein Rakhna Ho
As the rhythm reached her ears, the lyrics absorbed within her, she felt herself crumble to the ground any minute. It was only his weight that was letting her supporting her, or otherwise she would have been long fallen to the ground. The truth, was bitter but it after all was the truth. She had to tell him, she couldn't keep secrets from him, she had taken that vow, she had to tell him everything. He was hers, but after all not entirely hers. The fear of losing him after the unleashing of this truth crept over her and she surrendered herself completely to him. She had no more power to face it all, he had to do it for her now, let her fall, for him to rise.
He felt her body go weightless lose all the remaining power it had, and it made him wonder even more what had happened. He had never seen her in such a condition, never so weak, never so dependent. Something had happened to her and he wanted to know, he wanted to know for all the life he had in her. He couldn't see her in shatters; he couldn't see her break apart. She was his life, he wouldn't let his life, go away just like that.
He felt himself, wilt with agony, as she slowly kept her head on his shoulders, weeping as she did so, and silent pearl like tears fell from her eyes, landing on his suit. He pulled her closer to himself, to feel her, to hold her as tightly as possible so she wouldn't fall. She was on the verge of doing that if he loosened his grip even a little. But as he held on tighter, he could see the music fainting, the spot light on them closing and her body losing all its weight. He lowered his head to look onto her face which was near his heart. He stared at it in deep horror as he saw her sleeping like an angel in his arms, her eyes closed, her hands hanging lose from his other shoulder. She had completely surrendered herself to himself, she had escaped into her bliss, she was his, she had made herself his, and fainted right into his arms, close to his heart, where all she heard was the heart that was beating for her.
Tu Jahan Main Wahan
Sang Sang Youu Chalun Tere Jaise Tera Aasmaan
___________________________________________________________ Precap:
"Tell me danmed! You can't have me solving riddles!"
(Trying to free her hand from his grip) "Let me go! I cannot give you any answers, leave me alone"
"You have to answer me, I won't let you go before you answer! Tell me! Tell me! Why did you tamper with her phone? Why did you delete that picture? What is this mystery behind Jeeja ji and the Gupta's?"
"I didn't do anything, I don't know what are you talking about!"
(Leaving her hand) "Fine. Don't answer, I won't beg for any more answers, but listen to me loud and clear, by being shut you are getting to no where! It's your sister who only suffers more!"
She freed her hand and wriggled it, as sever pain had shot through it due to his hard grip. He left off in a fury banging the door behind him, leaving her tear stricken behind. Only that moment Aakash came from the other side, and bumped in to Arnav, who in a fury didn't even respond and went away. Aakash opened the room of his bedroom to find his wife weeping to herself, anger rising up in him.

It's long but not that long, however I know many of you might disagree but this personally is my favorite part, and for me it's the most emotional and heart touching update I have ever written.
I was going to add Shyam's reaction but I didn't want to spoil it, its was too good for me, and too engrossing to include Shyam's reaction so the dance is free from any interference it focuses truly on ArHi and only ArHi.😃
