It was night of joy, of celebration, to welcome the daughter in laws of the tycoons, in the home town of the house of Mughals. Shantivan was decorated like the brides that were to enter it, with their husbands, the ones to maintain the royalty of Shantivan in future.
The Raizadas, excluding the newly wed couples, all paced inside the huge mansion as fast a they could, to prepare themselves to welcome the two brides in the home of their in laws, the home of their husbands, their home.
It had been a merry fifteen minutes since the arrival of the elderly Raizadas when two black, lavishly decorated Liana's pulled up in the parking lot, of the great Shantivan. Out of them, stepped the two newly wedded couples, and with the help of the grooms, the brides feeling most uncomfortable in their bridal wear, and a longing to take the heavy piece of fabric off them, took their hands and followed their husbands inside, to where stood their in laws equipped with pooja thali's, two kalash, and two thali's containing red liquid to welcome them to their new house.
The two couples stood side by side to each other covering the entire gap of the door externally, while the internal one was fully covered by a party comprising of Anjali, Nani, Mamiji, Mamaji and Jay Prakash. Everything on the ground had been aligned in an extremely precise and symmetrical manner in front of the footsteps of the brides. A pot full of rice (kalash) was placed in front of the two brides, followed by a thali filled with red liquid to print the footsteps on the ground of the two brides, in their new home.
Anjali stood in front of Khushi and Arnav, while Manorama stood in front of Payal and Aakash and both together circled the thali of pooja around the two couples, putting vermilion on their forehead and welcoming them inside. As the brides entered with their grooms, both with their legs pushed the kalash with their feet. Payal's trail of rice followed to a fair distance, while that of Khushi's the pot went flying in mid air, as her kick had been resembling that of a football player, the granules of rice landing all the way to the end of the hall.
Khushi looked down in embarrassment, while Arnav continued to poke his elbow into her sides giggling along with it, not to forget the laughter and cheer in the Raizada hall.
Nani: Khushi betya, app sharminda kono baat key liye naaahi hun. Kalash ka itna door girna tou shagun mana jawat hain, app ki anein wali zindagi bari sukhi hone wali hain.
Khushi looked up and smiled at Naniji, after which passing a quick sarcastic smile to Arnav who was still looking at her with his cheeky smile. As they proceeded, Anjali and Mami kept the thali's of red liquid in front of Khushi and Payal respectively, in which they stepped in, and walked the entire hall way with the red liquid on their feet, leaving behind imprints of their existence on the white cloth that had been laid to record their first steps in Shantivan.
Following that the couples were made to sit on the royal couches of the Raizada hall, and the remaining rituals were then carried out after which the brides were taken away from their grooms, to their new rooms.
Khushi entered her room with Anjali after they had bid goodbye to a blushing Payal, whose room was in the same lane as that of Khushi and Arnav however in order of entering the first stair case, before them. As both of them stepped inside, a cute smile spread over Khushi's face as she remembered the first time she had entered this room one month ago. With every step she took towards the king size bed, her eyes adjusted them selves to the dimly lit room, memories flushing back to her. Their came a moment when she looked at Arnav's garden outside, making her remember of the havok she had created that day, how Arnav had looked hurt, but despite that, hadn't fail to be her support, and after what seemed years to her had openly declared his ever lasting support for her. The remembrance of it all made her blush, so deep that it added an extra touch to the makeup that was already applied on her, making Anjali cheekily smile at her sister in law.
Anj: Khushi you are already blushing. What is going to happen to you over the night?
Hearing this, Khushi turned into an even rosy red, and Anjali not wanting to tease her anymore led her straight to the bed, and helped her position herself in the middle on the bed.
Anj: Here you go. My work for you is done. (Khushi looked up and smiled at her) Now, I shall go, and send Chotte after a few minutes, keep waiting till then.
Anjali turned to go away, and was almost leaving when she came back again and sat next to Khushi, making Khushi's forehead crease with evident confusion.
Anj: (in barely audible tone) A fair warning for you *pause* (smirking) Chotte is not going to let you sleep tonight.
Anjali giggled, as she saw Khushi blushing away furiously, and whispering a last 'Happy Suhagraat' left the room, leaving a crimson Khushi behind, who couldn't as such control the flush of red on her cheeks.
Khushi looked around at the gigantic room, which was now hers. It was just the way it was the first time she had seen, however now a bit more lavishly decorated, complementing the bed, which itself looked like a mini garden of flowers. Where ever she saw, flowers would distract her vision, making her wonder of their limitless beauty. It was all so magical, so heavenly, as if a room out of a fairytale. She lowered her gaze down to the silky, pinkish cream, bed sheet, which when she held to soothingly kept slipping away from her fingertips.
She looked sideways, at the side table, where their used to be a photo frame she was very fond of. It made her heart shout at the thought of the picture inside being separated into two pieces. She so loved that picture, which evidently was the only one in which Arnav had smiled his hearty smile. It had been a moment of utmost joy when on her request he had smiled for the picture. It was just so perfect, and to have it ripped a part, was the worst thing ever. Her mind went back to when Arnav had come to her house, said sorry to her, told her of the picture, why he had grown angry, it began to trouble her all the more now. Who could have tampered with that dear picture of theirs that too from his room? Why would anybody do such a awful deed, she had no idea, but whatever it was, one thing was sure, this person was not good for them at all. Since yesterday, she had a gut feeling that something was not right, Payal jiji had been acting weird, he had been acting weird too, and she couldn't make out a single logical reason to explain it all.
As she was lost in her world of thoughts, the creaking of the wooden door, snapped her out of the virtual world and back to the real world. Realization struck her, and she corrected her posture getting strangely rigid, the blood flow inside her body being hampered minutely, her pulse rate pacing at an immeasurable rate. She knew who was coming, he was there, making his way inside his room. Correction, their room. Taking slow but steady steps towards her. It was after a merry 6 seconds that she could actually see him walk inside the room, towards their bed, his eyes shining with passion, a smirk surfacing his face. The look on his face made her shiver to the core, and her then rigid form, began to shiver slightly, she pulled on with her fingers on the silky material of the bed sheet, which most annoyingly kept slipping away from her grip. Her lips were quivering, and it was getting more and more difficult for her to take in his empowering gaze casually and act normal.
The smirk on Arnav's face grew as he looked at his wife's small shaky form. He loved the effect he had on her, and the way everything always came out to be in his favor when they were together. She could get her demand with everything, even with him, be it anything, but this was one thing, when he would be in his utmost demeanor, even she could not take it away from him. He had full control over her in such situations, and nothing she did would get her to nowhere. She was his, and his right over her was more then the right she had on herself.
The more he stepped closer the more the shivering in her body grew, until he was sitting right next to her when it surprisingly stopped. Khushi looked at her self from top to bottom, shock evident in her eyes, as to what was happening to her. The kind of effect he had on her was frightening her now, she had completely lost control over her own heart. It made her feel like she was back to square one, how her heart had thudded deep in her chest, when she had landed straight into his arms and looked into his mystic eyes. It made her feel lost, and their was a whirlpool of emotions going through her even back then, which she couldn't explain back then and not even now. The demon in him she had seen had horrified her, and she had wished that she would never get to see the beast he was ever again. But somehow destiny wanted them together, and anywhere she went, out of nowhere they would bump into each other causing that came tingling sensation in her. Today, he was sitting next to her, being her lawful husband, it seemed life had moved a bit too fast in the past 6 months of her life. Just 6 months back she was in college dreaming of her prince charming, and 6 months later she was here living her dream, sitting next to her prince charming.
Arnav scrutinized her perfectly shaped features, making her feel all the more giddy. There was an uncomfortable silence that had prevailed between the two. Only 6 months back had he thought that this would never come into his life, and that love, fascination, and dreams never existed. There was nothing like destiny that played a role in his life, because he apparently believed in writing his own destiny, but from the day, the first time, she had fallen into his arms, she had charged the ions in his body. He wanted to stick to her, hold on to her fragile form, but he could clearly see the horror in her eyes that he caused, and today as she sat next to him, he saw not that horror in her eyes, but contentment of him being around her, however her body shivering in the same way as it had back at that day at Sheesh Mahal.

He walked in towards the large building that his in laws owned. His brother in law had expanded the empire that existed and it was his office that he was quickly heading towards. He liked his beastly form, he liked the way he worked with everything in an organized manner, he liked the way at such a young age he had maintained a empire this big, with utmost capability, and for this, he admired him to the core. He always felt lucky to be in relation with his sister, who he loved not for what she was, but for the limitless money that she pocessed. Her brother had made her the sole heir, of this entire empire, and it was always that feeling of getting that money for himself that made him to stick to that lady. She was just an ATM to him, and it brought him great pleasure to think, that he could use her in any way that he wanted. He had with his sugar coated tongue and sickingly sweet ways manage to convince the entire Raizada lot that he was worth her, even her eagle eyed brother, who loved his sister more than anything else in this world.
Life had been quite for him, going as he wanted, but then she came in his life. Khushi Kumari Gupta came in his life, and she disturbed the very functioning of his life, shaking his heart to the core, making unknown feelings rise within him, to such an extent that now he could not resist but give in to them. It had made him crazy for her, and now he could not imagine life without her. She had ignited the love in him, which his Rani Sahiba could never with her pooja's or her caring ways. That girl had changed the meaning of life for him, from the first time he had saved her from the goons; she had made a place in his heart. Those hazel brown eyes of her, looked straight into his, thanking her for the good he did to her, but he hadn't taken it just as a thanks from a girl. It had meant more to him, it had shaken him, it had created a feeling of want deep within him, and that moment, was the moment he realized that the definition of life, was not which was in the dictionary, but she. She was his life, and he wanted her at any cost. He was near to getting her, making her his, but then destiny had played with him again, and taken her far away from him. Away to where he could see her but not make her his. Never in his wildest dreams could he imagine that his Sale Sahab, the person he admired would become a vicious enemy to him now. He had taken his life from him; he had taken her from him, without knowing what she meant for hm. All this while he had planned so well, to get her, but he had spoiled it all with his proposal, she had gone to him without a minute hesitance, thrown him out of her life like trash. And now, now that they were married, he, Shyam was out to take revenge, take revenge from Arnav Singh Raizada for taking her, take revenge from Khushi Kumari Gupta for leaving him just like that. He would spoil their life, destroy them, until she had no option but to come back to him, and that is when, he would make her his.
Today, as he approached the head office of AR industries, and moved fast towards Arnav's desk, he would take the first step towards spoiling their life. He, Arnav Singh Raizada, had married her, but, he would make sure that she could never be his. Shyam Jha would make sure, that he wouldn't even get the chance to touch her. She was his, and only his, and nobody could have a right over her ever.
He moved in like a snake, without making noise, mentally thanking his God for having the guard deep in sleep. Not making the slightest of noises, he sprinkled the liquid in the gallon, all over the exquisite cabin of his brother in law, making sure ever single thing present in that room would be drenched in the liquid. He made his way out of the office, smirking to himself, before throwing in a small piece of the match he had brought. He walked away from the blazing sight, contented with what he had done, his first step would be successful, this was just the beginning, and Arnav Singh Raizada had gotten himself into heavy trouble this time.

They all sat in the room, waiting for the devil he was. He had never disappointed them before, but today they were all disappointed with what he had done, how could he not attend the wedding, when he very well knew it was only one that was to happen in the Raizada house for a very long time.
Anj: (worried) Nani! Why isn't he still not here? Where is he?
Nani: Anjali betya don't worry he will come. I don't understand how could Damaadji have missed the wedding? He knew so well, how important it was for all of us.
Anj: That is what worries more.. How could he just miss it..has something ( her voice getting choky) happened to himm..?
Mami: Anjali betya, damaadi ji, is going to be here don't you worry.
Just as the worried lot, frantically tried their dear son in law's number, with all the remaining grandeur of his, he entered the Raizada premises, startling everyone.
Anj: (running over to him) Where have you been!
Sh: Rani Saheba, let me come inside please, I am thoroughly exhausted.
Anjali moved aside and followed him inside to where everybody was now sitting, a frown throughout her face.
Nani: Dammadji where have you been? Why did you miss the wedding?
Sh: Nani ji I am so sorry, and I plead for forgiveness from all of you from the bottom of my heart. I was going to come and I would have made it in time, if it wouldn't have been for a last minute emergency that had to occur.
Anj: (angrily) What ever last minute emergency it was it couldn't be more important than my brother's wedding! How could you even think of missing it!
Sh: (putting a hand on Anjali's shoulder) Rani Saheba, what could I have done it was a matter of death and life for someone. If at the spur of the moment I wound't have been there, an innocent victim would have lost his life. Do you think I would come to the wedding at the cost of someone's life being snatched away?
Anj: (angrily) You could have sent someone else in charge of that case, why only you?
Sh: Because I have handled that case throughout and they just wouldn't let me go out of it. What could I have done Rani Saheba? If you still think I am at fault, and that I should have come to the wedding at the cost of a mother losing her only dear son, then give me any punishment that you please.
Nani: Anjali betya, dammadji is right; it was a situation of severe crisis that compelled him to not attend the wedding. Forgive him na betya.
Anj: ( letting her barriers drop) Okay, you are forgiven but only on one condition, you shall not leave the house for the next month at all, be it any situation.
Sh: (smiling) As you say Rani Saheba, Shaym Jha is at your service.
Everybody laughed and son saying goodnight, departed off to their own respective rooms. As Shyam and Anjali passed Arnav Khushi's room, he smiled hard to himself, over whelmed with the destruction he had caused. They were not going to have a good night, he had made sure of that, and no night that they spend together would be a happy one, he would make extremely sure of that.
