It took a long time for Khushi to register his question in her mind...

when he was about to tell something...anjali called them both to the dining and both of them wished they didnt have the interruption, but arnav had to follow Khushi as she started walking...at the dining table the entire family were seated...nani, mami, mama, akash, shyam, and nk...both anjali and payal started serving breakfast...
Anj: Chote...sit for breakfast...khushi ji u also pls join us...
Nani: Haan Khushi bitiya it has been so long since we have seen u...join us for breakfast...
Before Khushi could tell an answer shyam interrupted telling...
Sh: Haan Khushiji join us...u can come and sit here the chair next to me is empty...
Khushi and Payal looked at each other...both didn't know how to react.. Arnav was just pulling out the chair for himself to sit and for some strange reason wanted khushi beside him..he wanted the proximity...he had missed her so much that he was just not ready to leave her vicinity...NK also called out...
NK: Khushiji u come here...v both can have a fun filled breakfast...
Khushi smiled at him and was about to move...when arnav just pulled at her hands and made her sit in the chair next to him...for others who looked upon it was just a split second and they thought that khushi just smiled and sat where she was standing already...but khushi was shocked at arnav's behavior..but was relieved...she looked at him...but he gave her a blank look and turned off not wanting to attract much attention from the table members...
Everyone started their breakfast..with shyam and NK dissappointed for different intentions, but for the same girl...Khushi felt very uncomfortable to sit close to Arnav...she was feeling the heat of his gaze though he was not seeing her directly...when anjali asked khushi to pass on the dish to arnav...she did so...with the fingers and eyes lingering on each other...arnav for some reason was not able to control himself today from watching or wanting her...he was getting a little tired from the mask that he was wearing...he suddenly felt like he wanted to leave his defences down, but was scared to do so,...
Over the breakfast table...Nani started the topic of Akash and Payal's honeymoon...
Nani: Arye...Akash it has been one week since u and payal r married...im sure u would've made plans for your honeymoon..where have u ppl decided to go?
Anj: Haan...even I forgot about it...though I am sure u two wouldn't have...
Payal looked down shyly...but only khushi knew that it was not shyness but embarrassment of what to answer if the question was asked directly to her...khushi felt very sad for what her sister was going through...Akash came to her rescue immly..
Ak: No nani...at present i have some work at office, i dont want to burden bhai with everything and take off like tat...so i've postponed our honeymoon...
Akash knew tat he was lying through his teeth, but he had started to feel a bit odd about payal's behavior and tried many times asking her wat was wrong, but she kept dodging the questions, never gave a straight answer...he was yet to receive a concrete reply from her...
Nani: Arre...u have decided...and ur wife has accepted?
everyone were looking at Payal...
P: Of course, whatever his decision is mine also...

before she could complete arnav spoke up...
Asr: Actually, i was keeping it as a surprise for both of them...now that the topic has come let me announce it...I have booked tickets and made all arrangements for both of them to go to Spain for their honeymoon...Payal tomorrow akash will take u to the passport office to get a new passport for u...your tickets are for this weekend...on saturday...it will be a one month trip...I've made all the arrangements..u have to just go enjoy yourselves and come..and akash u dont worry i'll take care of the company...
Everyone were stunned listening to this.
Khushi knew no bounds to her happiness at the announcement...she just wanted to hug and kiss asr...WAIT A MIN she thought...wat did i just think? NO NO NO it can't be...may be im just too happy for my jiji...but in her heart of hearts she knew the truth...her eyes just beamed with tears when she saw arnav...when mami interrupted...
Mami: Arre..what is the need to spend so much on a honeymoon? and anyways they will get bored for one long month...and as akash bituwa said rightly how can he burden arnav and go off like that...of course my son deserves it..but ...
Arnav: I can handle things mamiji u dont worry...
Mami: No not like that...but what will payal do in such a place...coming from a family like hers..she doesnt know how to behave or do anything here in our house itself..what will she do there...
Everyone were annoyed at her comments...
Nani: Manorama...she can manage very well...and she is fulfilling all her responsibilities here at this house...No one has any complaints except u...
Arnav: and mamiji..even if payal doesnt know anything akash is there with her...he will manage everything..after all they are going there to have fun not for anything else...
Mami: hmmm...what a life..she wouldn't in her dreams thought that she a girl from such a family will get a life like this...
Khushi felt her anger rise to new limits and was about to open her mouth when she felt a hand press on her hand on her lap...she looked down to see that it was arnav's...she was shocked..she looked at him...but he without looking at her said directly to mami...
Ar: now that payal is married to akash she is a part of this family..and there is not disparity in status within the family..each and everyone are treated the same and given the same respect and importance...so it would be better to keep our private comments private and not declare it openly and spoil the peace of the house...
Everyone at the table were shocked but happily shocked to hear asr's words...they instantly agreed upon it...but the most shocked was khushi, who still couldnt believe that he had uttered those words in favor of her jiji...of course now his brother's wife...she was even more shocked at him holding her hand to pacify her...and he was still holding it...
