There you go again, calling me drama queen...common, what is a story without a twist and the complications.

As I said before, all narratives are the same. Boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever after (Or they don't). And I'm sure, you will agree, when I say the story is really in the details.

Drama Queens get heard or in this case read. Though you are right Hasini, the devil is in the details or in this case the mirchi masala or in more refined terms the spice of life.

I was in San Francisco last weekend for a holiday and I specifically wanted to visit Sausalito just to see why you picked up the specific place in your story or i was jumping with joy watching Pete's cafe in downtown only to realise it was in SF and not in New York... but yes the name got me excited 😉 and i was also searching for the blue bottle coffee comapny 😳(These are just a few that were mentioned)

As for the locations I choose, it might sound weird to you, but in the workshops I have taken, they ask you to think of specifics about characters. And that is why I keep saying that the skeleton of the narrative is always the same and the details is what any writer/author keeps working on.

In my head Maan & Geet are living close to Van Ness and Sacremento - the upper middle class living in SF.

Sausalito - More suited for M&G from NY times, since we were going for the Khuranas to be Indian blue blood et all and Sausalito is more for the elite here.

I'm hoping you walked all these places, instead of driving through. Trust me there is a huge difference.

I'm terribly haunted by lines from this FF (Noli Me Tangere) that I have always wanted to write, for no reason at all. Just drawn to the concept, but again its another love story is all and perhaps not much different from the others I have penned so far.
