Part 8
"How is she Doctor?" Asked Naniji. She peeked at Anjali through the window and relaxed seeing her sleeping peacefully.
"She is much better than before." Nikhil assured Nani that she will be better soon. "But there is one thing that I am worried about."
"What is it?" Arnav walked up to him with concerned eyes.
"I think all of you should sit down first." There was a bench right outside of Anjali's room. It was enough for everyone. They took their seats wondering what it could be that they cannot handle. Worry was building up in everyone. What could be wrong with her? God, Please keep her safe!
"Ms. Anjali'currently is set on doing an abortion. She doesn't want to keep the baby," Nikhil told them with very sad eyes. Everyone was shocked to hear this except Arnav. He was just confused.
"What?! No way! How can she think of abortion?" Cried Nani.
"That is her current decision. Just like you all, I am against abortion. I will be trying my best to change her mind."
"'Isnt it her decision? I mean, if she doesn't want the child then let it be abortion. What is the problem?" Arnav generally stated his opinion in front of everyone.
"Abortion is a sin! It is stealing the right of the child - who hasn't even seen the daylight- to live. How can you not understand this?" Argued Khushi. She didn't expect this from Arnav. Although he doesn't like kids, he shouldn't even think about not letting a child live! Tears were streaming down her cheeks. She was really disappointed.
"Yes although we know it's her decision but her decision at her current state is not the right thing to do." Nikhil jumped in. "She is currently in a shock. She cannot think straight right now. Her hatred for Shayam dragged her to this decision."
Arnav saw Khushi's facial expression and didn't have anything to say back to her or to Nikhil. What Nikhil just told made complete sense to him although what Khushi said didn't. But he didn't like seeing tears in her eyes. Not anymore. "Sorry about that. I'didn't think of it that way." He apologized quietly.
"So in order to get her back in her original state, we need to try out best to get Shayam out of her head. We need to change her life. And'this is something that is very hard to do."
Nani stood there staring at Anjali. It was so hard for her to see her Anjali in such a horrible position. "Dr.Nikhil, we all are with you in this. We will also try our best to change her mind." She turned around and looked at Nikhil. He nodded with a gentle smile.
"That would honestly be really appreciated. Thank you. So, are we all in?" Nikhil looked at Arnav hoping for a positive answer. Arnav looked down guilty at his earlier comment about Anjali's decision.
Khushi said, "I am in of course!" Akash, Mami and Mamaji also joined the mission. They all looked at Arnav.
"I didn't mean to hurt any of you with what I said, really. I didn't know so I will also do my best to change my Di's life. "
Khushi smiled at him and stood close to him and whispered, "I'I am sorry about earlier as well. I mean, I shouldn't have yelled at you." Arnav looked in her eyes and said, "No worries, I only wanted her to be happy. And I realized later that my Di also have the same values as you. So I am sure even she wouldn't want to commit a sin like killing an unborn child."
Khushi was so happy to see him understand her point. She hugged him tightly and Arnav hugged her back.
"Hello Hai Bye Bye, here we are having a phamily peerobalam and you are already in your honeymoon?" chipped in Mamiji.
Arnav and Khushi let go of each other. "No, sorry about that. I was just happy that Arnav understood." Khushi said.
"I think we should let Di rest for now. We should talk and discuss together about what we can do to make Di's health better." Akash suggested.
Nani nodded in agreement and said, "Okay, Dr. Abhiraj will you be joining us?"
"No no sorry but I am a doctor here, there are many other patients I have to take care off. But I can definitely come and meet up tomorrow afternoon during my lunch." Replied Nikhil.

Outside RM
"Arnav and Khushi, I want you two to come in the house an hour later." Says Nani. Arnav and Khushi look at eachother confused.
"Why Nani? Is there something that you need?" Asked Arnav. Naniji gets off the car and stand outside Khushi's car door.
"We just need some time to prepare something." Nani gently puts her palm on Khushi's cheek and smiles. Khushi blushes. She knew what was coming.
"We haven't yet welcomed our beautiful new member of our family." Nani smiles at her and Khushi shyly smiles back. Arnav rolls his eyes.
"Nani, she already entered the house. All those rasam's don't really matter." Khushi was a bit sad from what he just said. Nani shook her head and smiled.
"Maybe for you it has no meaning Arnav, but for her? It means quite a lot. Am I wrong Khushi?"
Khushi smiled and said, "You are absolutely correct. Well, I always wanted a nice welcome to my Sasural." Khushi clamps her hands together and looks at Arnav while grinning. Arnav lets out a sigh and drives away agreeing to Nani's orders.
Arnav drives his car his usual way. Full on speed. Khushi gets worried and hold on to the door tightly. Arnav remembers what she mentioned about her fear for speed and slows down.
"Do you feel like eating anything?" Khushi lets go of the door and looks at Arnav.
"Wait, don't say it. I know. You are always hungry."
Khushi makes a shocked face and says, "No! I am not always hungry?! What made you say that? I am a delicate butterfly." Arnav lets out a laugh.
"Delicate? Butterfly? LOL you mean titaliya? Hahaha. Wait, I actually like Sanaka devi the best." Arnav continues his laughter on Khushi's nicknames.
Khushi gets all angry at Arnav teasing her. "Ive got a better one. I am sure you heard this before MANY times, Lard Governor." Arnav glares at her and was about to say something back when Khushi continued.
"Oh no no no no! Lard governor is the normal nickname. The best one has to be 'Rakshus'. "
"What the? How dare you call me that?" He clenched his teeth.
"Oooh! Look at your nose! Hahaha!" Arnav stops his car abruptly which surprises Khushi. She remembered that whenever Arnav steps on his brakes, he yells at her to get out. She nervously looks at Arnav and asks, "Am I to get out?"
Arnav looks at her and smirks, "Wow, you understand me so perfectly Sanaka devi." Khushi's mind snaps and she gets out of the car. She didn't like him teasing her.
Once she got out of the car and faced towards what was in front of her, her breath was taken away. She was standing in front of the Gupta house. She slowly turned around to look at Arnav walking around the car to stand next to her.
"Am I still a Rakshus for you?" He saw love pouring out of Khushi's beautiful eyes. She smiled at him and hugged him tight. She shook her head in reply to Arnav's question.
"Ever since the wedding, you didn't get to see her. Plus, apparently you 'Bidaii' hasn't been done properly'right?" Khushi looked at him in surprise.
"You'Oh My God! You really cared about my Bidaii? Thank you so much! You don't know how much I wanted to meet them." Tears of happiness were streaming down Khushi's eyes.
"Khushi'" Arnav said in his soft and husky voice. "Don't cry, now that you are here. Meet them with a smile on your face." Khushi let go of Arnav and wiped her tears off and held Arnav's hand in hers.
They both walked in the Gupta house and had a sweet and emotional time together.
Khushi's little Bidaii was also very emotional for Buaji, Garima, Babuji & Payal. They happily accepted Arnav and asked him to keep their Khushi very happy. They all gave a mini present to Khushi and Arnav and the couple left the house an hour or so later.

It was 6 in the evening.
Nikhil knocks on Anjali's door softly and enters the room. He saw Anjali in her own trail of thoughts.
He gently walks towards her and picks up the yellow roses from her side table and brings it to Anjali.
She suddenly looks up and see's Nikhil smiling at her with the roses.
"Let me remind you. You brought these for me in the morning." Anjali reminded Nikhil with an amused face. She had a little smile on her face.
"Hmm, well let me remind you that you didn't really accept these. Will you do fraandship with me?" He smiled sheepishly.
"Hahaha! 'Fraandship'? Who taught you that?" Anjali laughs hysterically.
"Well, that's what most of the girls say to me." Nikhil pulls out the stool and sits down.
"Hmm, so looks like you are popular with the girls? Why don't you give these flowers of yours to one of them? Might make one's life." Anjali says with an amused face.
"Uhh, sorry but who can resist your pretty smile? Anyone would want to become your friend." He winks at her.
Anjali looks at Nikhil for few moments then turns her face the opposite direction.
"Shayam always used to say that to me'"
Nikhil's smiles fades off. He didn't think she would remember Shayam in the middle of this. He was trying hard for Anjali to not remember him.
"He used to care so much about my smile." Nikhil stood up and walked around the bed to face her.
"My hand still hurts from holding these flowers for you, ya know?" He made an annoyed face. This made Anjali laugh at his cute-ness.
"Okay Okay, I accept! Happy?" She takes the flowers from his hands and extends her own hand for a shake hand. Nikhil smiles at her and shakes her hand.
"Okay, now its time for me to go. We will meet tomorrow." Anjali nodded and said bye to him.

Nani opens the door with a huge smile on her face. "Usually, at these special moment'Anjali is always beside me. But she isn't here today. But I am sure she would be truly happy about hearing how we welcomed our daughter-in-law."
Arnav and Khushi smiled at Nani.
Mamiji helped Nani with the rituals and the rasams. Khushi entered the house and took everyone's Ashirwaad.
They all had dinner together and discussed about Anjali.
"I think our main focus should be her baby?" Khushi asked. Everyone nodded in agreement.
"But we also need to focus on how we can remove Shayam from her thoughts." Suggested Mamaji.
"How can we do that?" Asked Akash. "I mean, I don't think its possible for her to not think about Jeejaji at all."
"We need her to get back to her normal state. We need her to move on." Said Arnav. "But how? That is the question."
"We need to distract her. Somehow." Said Nani. Khushi sat there thinking to herself.
"Khushi, you always have plans right? Do you have one?" Asked Arnav.
"I am thinking. What nani said was right. We need to distract her. We need her to do things that she likes. Things that she would enjoy a lot."
"She likes Temple. Oh and all types of rituals." Suggested Arnav. He was being serious while the rest looked at him like he was stupid.
"What? Isn't there anything like that coming up? " Asked Arnav.
"YES! Vasant Panchami!" Khushi chirps up. "It's the perfect thing! This is when we celebrate with the new sense of optimism. This should help Anjali ji to start a new life?"
Nani, mamaji and mamiji were impressed with her.
"You are absolutely right!" Nani says. "Hopefully Goddess with bless our Anjali with happiness." She smiles at Khushi.
"Oh no! It is almost time for my bee-you-tee issleep!" Mami says. Everyone realizes that it was time to sleep.
Everyone says Goodnight and goes to their rooms.

In ArHi's room
"This will be so perfect!" Khushi says excitedly. "Thankyou Devi mayya for this brilliant Idea. Anjali ji will be able to start a new life with this." She prays.
Arnav changes in the bathroom and comes out. "Well if you are done then go and change. Its getting late."
Khushi heard him and went to her closet and took out her night dress. "Today was such a great day. Thank you!"
Arnav looked at her and said, "Apparently, according to Nani and your family'today is our 'Suhaag Raat'" He looks at Khushi's reaction. She froze completely and blushed.
Arnav walked towards her and fastened his arms around her waist. "You don't mind a double suhaag raat don't you?" He whispered to Khushi in his husky voice. Khushi felt an electric shock running down her spine.
He turned Khushi around to face him. She couldn't meet her eyes with his as she was shy.
"Werent you just thanking me?" Arnav asked and Khushi looked up.
"Y-yeah'I was thanking you about taking me to my family'" she replied quietly.
"Hmm, well why don't you thank me with your lips?" She looked at Arnav with a surprised expression. Arnav lips were curling up to a sexy smirk. She saw how his lips were rosy pink. They looked so soft.
"W-what do you mean? I am thanking you with my lips'"
"Try something different? Maybe'a kiss?" Khushi's heart was racing like crazy. Arnav finger tips traced her spine. She was melting in his arms.
"C-Close your e-eyes then'" She never thought she would be doing this'she was scarlet. His touch and his hot breath was killing her.
Arnav still had his smirk on and slowly closed his eyelids. Khushi saw him waiting for that magical touch of their lips.
Khushi slowly got on her toes and put her arms on his shoulder for support. She slowly closed her eyes and gently pressed her lips against his. Electricity flowed in both Arnav & Khushi's body. Khushi felt so weak from that little touch. She was about to let go when Arnav grabbed the back of her nexk with one arm and her waist with another and pressed his lips desperately against her. Khushi slowly grabbed Arnav's hair in her hands. They pulled eachother closer to eachother and shared an intense kiss.
Arnav picked Khushi up in his arms and walked towards the bed.
"Chote?!" Nani called out and knocked on the door. "Chote?"
Khushi and Arnav were brought back to earth and were extremely embarrassed with what just happened. Khushi quickly took her night suit and rushed to the washroom while Arnav fixed his hair. He didn't like how he was interrupted. He was annoyed.
He opened the door to see nani with a glass of milk. "Here chote, I wanted to give this to Khushi. This will give her some strong bones." Arnav nods and takes the milk from her hand.
"Thanks Nani. You should sleep shouldn't you?"
"Yes yes, I am going. You two should sleep as well. We need to discuss more about Anjali's recovery right?" Arnav nods again and says Good Night to her.
Khushi comes out of the washroom. Arnav tells her to drink milk and she does.
"I think'we should sleep'" Khushi suggested and Arnav agrees.
"I know you are disappointed but, what to do'sometimes you need to wait." He winks cheekily at her and she blushes.
"No! That's not it!" She protests but doesn't continue as she knows that it won't do any good.
They both go to bed and face each other and smile.
"Goodnight Khushi."
"Goodnight Arnav."

Oh and, I dont know much about Hindu religious festivals :( So i searched a bit and found about Vasant Panchami. I dont know if I got those mini details right.
