Nikita listened to his words silently and took it in but she was still angry with him; she struggled again and he loosened his grip as he knew he was hurting her.

Niki: Let me go Abhi…

Abhi: First tell me that you love me…

Niki: Never… - angrily - …I don't love you…

Abhi: Look into my eyes and say that…

Niki: - looking into his eyes – No I don't…

Abhi suddenly let go of her hand, taking the shoes she walked out of the cabin and met Muskaan's cousin a little way away and gave her the shoes which she ran to show Rahul who gave them their gift money. Nikita stood back a little with these thoughts on her mind; Abhi's words echoed in her mind but there was something else she didn't know; their entire conversation was overheard by Sid who stood just outside of the cabin while they were inside…

Back on stage the gang stood happily all with smiles as Rahul and Muskaan's wedding ceremony had taken place. Some stood happily without any problems on their mind while some had thousands of questions flooding their thoughts but tried to keep them back and smile for the sake of their friends. Out of nowhere Armaan bounded on stage and made his way towards his friends with a huge smile.

Armaan: Well finally... – clapping Rahul on his back - ...congratulations guys... – giving Muskaan a side hug

Rahul: Thanks...but we should be the ones saying finally...we haven't seen you for the entire three days...where've you been?

Armaan: Of course I've been here...if not how would this all happen... – waving his hand out to the area

Muskaan: You're right Armaan... – smiling widely - ...everything is so great...I just can't believe it...it's more than I expected...thank you so much...

Armaan: Please Muskaan...don't thank me...just think of it as a wedding present...

Rahul: Thanks man...but there's one more thing you need to do...

Armaan: What's that? – looking at him curiously

Rahul: You've been putting this altogether you haven't had time to enjoy with us…so today's entertainment will be down to you...

Abhi: Definitely...Rahul is right...you haven't had any fun with us...now it's your turn...

Armaan: I would...but I have to go...lunch is going to be served now and I need to go and check on it...

Rahul: No you don't...they can mange without you for five minutes...so get on with it...we're waiting...

Armaan looked at Muskaan who was nodding her head; next to her were Naina and Nikita who were also agreeing. He looked around to see Abhi smirking and Sid waiting for him to start; Riddhima stood at the back unable to look at him but before he could say anything to her Abhi had pushed him off of the stage towards the dance floor and they all stood waiting for him to start. Riddhima walked off of the stage and Armaan watched her as the DJ played the music to the song Meri Ada Bhi from the movie Ready.

DJ: Picche, picche aunda meri chal ve na aayi…Picche, picche aunda meri chal ve na aayi…Cheerey waaleya vekhda aayi ve mera laung gawacha…Nigah maarda aayi ve mera laung gawacha…

Armaan: - walking around but looking only at Riddhima - …Ishq ne mere yeh kaisa kaam kar diya…Mera aashqon mein uncha naam kar diya… - turning to the stage and singing and dancing as he thought about Riddhima - …Oo ishq ne mere yeh kaisa kaam kar diya…Mera aashqon mein uncha naam kar diya…Mitt gaya woh jisko bhi hans ke salaam kar diya…

The song came to an end and they all enjoyed themselves in the middle of the dance floor then Armaan disappeared getting back to work as lunch was now being served. The newlyweds enjoyed lunch around a round table with their friends who kept teasing them and having loads of fun even though many of them had other thoughts on their mind. A while later other rituals took part before it was time for them to leave; Muskaan bade an emotional farewell to her friends and family before getting into the car with Rahul who supported and comforted her all the way home where more rituals took place and the gang joined them later.

It was quite late when the newlyweds headed off for their hotel suite which was booked as a wedding present from their friends and the rest headed home after a long tiring day. Riddhima sat in the living room with everyone that evening as they engaged in conversation about the events of the past three days and the other upcoming events.

Shashank: Everything was just perfect…after tomorrow we need to start with functions in this house…

Keerti: Yeah…there's so much to do…the engagement is only one week away…

Padma: Don't worry everything will happen…we'll start right after the reception tomorrow…

Riddhima looked over at Sid who sat on the floor in his own world, their eyes met and Sid got up immediately, he walked towards the stairs but stopped as his name was called.

Shubhankar: Where are you going…we're talking about your engagement now…

Sid: I know dad…but I'm very tired…I'm off to bed…

Sid walked up the stairs and Riddhima made an excuse and followed him; she reached the top just in time to see him about to walk into his room and she called out his name making him stop yet again.

Ridz: What's wrong Sid?

Sid: Please…I'm in no mood to talk right now…

Ridz: Sid… - sadly at his attitude - …you know you can tell me if anything is wrong…

Sid: Oh please Ridz… - annoyed - …you know what's wrong…don't pretend as if you have no clue…

Ridz: I don't understand…let's go in the room first… - she followed him into his room and settled down before she began to speak - …what's the matter?

Sid: Ridz please stop this act…you knew Abhi was coming back…and yet you still got us into this mess…got me…into this mess… - correcting himself

Ridz: But Sid…Niki is yours…whatever happened between Abhi and her was in the past…and it's all over now…

Sid: In your eyes it is…but not from mine…I'm not blind...I can see they still have feelings for each other and now I look like an idiot…thanks… - sarcastically

Ridz: - shocked at his outburst - …Sid…

Sid: Please Riddhima…can you leave…I'm really tired I need to sleep…and this is the last thing I want to be talking about right now anyway…please…

Riddhima stood up slowly unable to say anything; she walked out of the room and went into hers as her mind flooded with thoughts on this new problem. She freshened up and got into bed as her thoughts worked away and she fell asleep.

The next day Riddhima woke early and got dressed casually then made her way downstairs to have breakfast. As she entered the kitchen Padma gave her a message from Rahul's mum asking her to come over to help Muskaan get dressed for the reception. She had a quick breakfast then gathered her stuff and left the house quite late but no one was awake yet. She made it there just in time as Rahul's car pulled up outside their house; Riddhima changed her mood instantly and smiled widely as Muskaan jumped out of the car and gave her a big hug.

Muskaan: Hey Ridzi… - moving back with a huge smile on her face

Ridz: Hi Muskaan…hey Rahul…you guys are early…I thought you would be here at lunch or something… - winking at Muskaan who blushed

Rahul: Yeah…we we're thinking of something like that…but then Muskaan was in a rush so we thought we'd hurry so you guys won't have to wait for us… - he smiled and walked towards the house with the girls following him

Ridz: Oooh… - holding her arm around Muskaan's shoulder making her blush even more

They stood at the doorstep for a few seconds until Rahul's mum opened the door and welcomed them in warmly. She asked them about breakfast but they said they ate at the hotel before coming home so she led them upstairs to the couples' new room; then left them alone.

Ridz: Umm…guys…I think I should leave you two alone for a bit…so you can enjoy your new room… - then to Muskaan - …call me when you're ready…

Muskaan: - still blushing - …Please Ridz…come in…we'll get started…

Rahul: Yeah why not…we'll enjoy our room tonight… - winking at Muskaan who just could not stop blushing

Ridz: Too much detail… - making a face

Rahul: Nautanki… - ruffling her hair

They walked into the room and had a look around; it was beautiful and new; Muskaan and Rahul had designed it just the way they wanted and it looked great. Rahul left the girls alone for a bit and they chatted away excitedly but Muskaan felt a little emotional as she thought of her family but Riddhima cheered her up before they got started on getting ready. Muskaan's outfit and accessories were all here so they didn't need to worry; they called over Muskaan's cousin who was suppose to do her hair and makeup; she arrived a while later and got straight onto work. Muskaan carried on blushing as they both teased her continuously; especially when Rahul walked into the room.

Two hours later Riddhima and Muskaan were both ready and were looking amazing; they went downstairs and Muskaan felt the greatest welcome into her new home from her new family and relatives to which she forgot all her emotional worries about her family and just smiled as she looked forward to meeting them later. They then got into the car and made their way to the reception hall which was not far; as they reached they were welcomed as a couple by Rahul's extended family who settled them down at the front of the hall while many of the guests complimented them.

Riddhima spotted Armaan by chance and excused herself rushing towards him making sure she didn't lose sight of him. She called out his name several times but he didn't hear until she reached him and touched his shoulder making him turn.

Armaan: What's up?

Ridz: I've been calling you… - panting slightly - …I need your help…

Armaan: Not now Ridz I'm busy…

Ridz: Please Armaan just two minutes…everything is a mess…Sid is so angry and I think everything is going to go wrong…please help me fix this…only you can help me…

Armaan: Riddhima… - angrily - …like I said you made this mess now you clean it up…I haven't got time to waste on these tiny matters…I'm working here…I have a job to do…you sort your own problems out…if you created this problem it's your fault…don't think that I'm always going to be there to clear up your problems…I don't understand why you're meddling in other people's lives anyway…

Ridz: Armaan… - in shock at his tone of voice

Armaan: Excuse me…I have serious work to do… - barging past her

Riddhima stood there is disbelief as Armaan's words echoed through her mind yet again. She walked away slowly as tears formed in her eyes but she refused to let them drop as she made her way back to Muskaan. As she reached the stage she saw Nikita sitting there smiling away and talking with Muskaan but the moment she got there Nikita's smile disappeared and she looked away.

Ridz: Niki…can I talk to you for a second…

Niki: Ridz we'll talk later…

Muskaan: - looking at the two of them - …What's wrong girls?

Niki: Nothing Muskaan…just general…I'll just be back… - spotting someone in the crowd

Nikita walked off of the stage and made her way through the crowd to someone while Riddhima settled down next to Muskaan and put on an act of being happy again. There was more music and dancing from Rahul's family who were having a great time as well as the other guests. A while later the food was served and the fun started up just after as there was games carried out but Riddhima had other things on her mind; she walked Nikita to a side of the hall eager to clear all the problems.

Niki: Ridz…I said we'll talk later… - annoyed

Ridz: Please Niki…I really need to talk to you…

Niki: There's nothing left for you to say Ridz…everything is out in the open now… - angrily - …you knew Abhi was coming back…then why did you force me and Sid into this relationship…why were you trying to be cupid…

Ridz: It's not like that… - sadly

Niki: That's exactly what it is…the fact is that you knew he was back and you hid this from me…why?

Ridz: I didn't…

Niki: Ridz…I really don't want to talk about this right now… - turning away roughly

Nikita walked a little way but bumped into someone and was about to fall but luckily was held in time. She looked up to see Abhi staring down at her; they were so close and stayed like this for several seconds.

Abhi: - moving closer to whisper in her ear - …You're looking beautiful…

Nikita got up angrily and walked away from him. Riddhima witnessed the entire scene and turned away in shock and pain; she turned to see Sid standing a little away from her who had also witnessed the scene; he shook his head in disgrace and walked away leaving Riddhima feeling worst.

Riddhima was suddenly filled with emotional thoughts and made her way out of the hall with tears rolling down her cheeks uncontrollably. Her mind flooded with thoughts and many voices echoed through her as she rushed out of the building and kept running down the road until she got home; she let herself in and rested against the door crying her eyes out as the voices got louder and louder.

Armaan: …and if you're feeling so guilty you should've of thought of this first before setting them up...you knew one day or the other Abhi was going to come back...then why did you mess up Sid's life by dragging him into it...

Sid: Ridz please stop this act…you knew Abhi was coming back…and yet you still got us into this mess…got me…into this mess… - correcting himself

Riddhima cried as their words flooded her mind and she felt awful; she had made this mess and had no idea how to fix it; either way someone was going to get hurt and it was all her fault. After sometime she calmed down and made her way upstairs to her room where she got changed into something comfortable and decided to think things through but there was absolutely no solution to this problem which made her feel terrible all over again.

After two hours she heard the front door open and close and lots of noise downstairs; she knew everyone was back and there was going to be a lot of questions. She prepared herself for it and went to the washroom to clear her face, she came back into the room and saw Dhruv and Naina had just walked in.

Naina: Why did you come home so early?

Ridz: Umm…I was not feeling well…so I…

Dhruv: Are you okay Riddhi? – sweetly

Ridz: - smiling for the first time - …I'm fine now…thanks…

Dhruv: Okay…

Naina: Come down…Niki's family are here…

Ridz: - thinking – What am I going to do…? – then to Naina - …I'm coming you guys go…

Dhruv: It's okay Riddhi…I'll wait for you…

Naina: I'm going to take this all off first… - taking off her jewellery

Ridz: Fine…

They freshened up before making their way downstairs; as they got into the living room everyone looked up then they settled down. Riddhima caught Nikita's eyes and motioned for her to come with her; they excused themselves and walked into the kitchen where Riddhima began talking right away.

Ridz: Niki please just listen to me just once…all I want to do is apologies…because this is all my fault and I'm going to take all the blame…Niki we're best friends…and I don't want any issue come in between our friendship…so please forgive me…

Niki: Ridz…

Ridz: Please Niki just let me finish…I'm feeling very guilty and I have every right to be guilty because I was stupid not to think clearly before messing around with your lives…I'm extremely sorry…and I want to say…this is your life and you can make every decision…if you want I will go out there right now and sort this out…I will take the blame…you don't have to worry…just forgive me please…

Niki: Ridzi…stop… - putting her hand on Riddhima's shoulder - …it's okay…I forgive you…I was just confused earlier…even I don't know what I was saying…you're really a great friend…you only cared about me that was why you thought of my future…and I'm very happy to know that I have a friend like you…so please…don't say sorry…it's okay… - giving her a hug

Ridz: - moving back with a smile - …Thanks Niki…

Niki: Come let's go back inside…

They walked back into the living room and settled down listening to the elders talking away.

Shubhankar: Well we've planned everything…once again the function will be organised by Khushi Events…

Niki's Dad: Yeah they're very good… - turning to Shashank - …I must say your team is great…you've hired great workers…

Shashank: Thanks…they're all very good but Armaan is working very hard…he's one of the best…I'm very proud of him…and I'm sure he'll manage this function just as good as he's done the others…

Ba: Once this engagement is out of the way then right away shaadi…kyun Keerti?

Keerti: Ji Ba… - to Nikita's mum - …we're all very excited for Niki to be our daughter-in-law…

Nikita's Mum: I'm hoping she'll be a great daughter-in-law… she's very hard working…but because she's been the only child I hope she'll be able to adjust into a big family…

Padma: Don't worry…Niki will be fine…right Niki…

But Nikita was also lost in her own thoughts and was jerked out of one as she heard her name being called from a distance.

Niki: J-Ji? – looking around

Keerti: Looks like someone's lost in their own world… - smiling

Padma: I think they're bored sitting here with us oldies…why don't you guys go into the conservatory and relax… - to Riddhima

Dhruv: Yes…I was waiting for someone to say that… - jumping up - …come let's go there…I'm so bored here…

Riddhima, Nikita and Naina followed Dhruv but Sid stayed seated until Shashank put a hand on his shoulder making him look up from his thoughts also.

Shashank: You have permission to go to… - smiling at him

They all laughed as he got up and walked away; he was about to go upstairs when Naina asked him to come and sit with them. He walked into the conservatory ignoring Riddhima and sitting next to Nikita; but Naina and Dhruv carried on generally involving Riddhima leaving the other two to talk amongst themselves.

Sid: Are you okay? – looking at Nikita

Niki: I'm fine…and you?

Sid: Managing… - seriously then smiled - …I'm cool…

Niki: - smiling sweetly at him - …Looks like you've got lots on your mind…

Sid: Hmm…not really… - lying

Niki: Sure?

Sid: Yep…what about you?

Niki: Well…our engagement is in less than a week…so just thinking about that…

Sid: Niki… - seriously - …like I said before…I'm not forcing you into anything…this is totally your decision…it's still early if you want to break this off…

Nikita was silent as his words echoed through her mind; she thought of how sweet this guy was, after everything that had happened and he still wanted her happiness. She was speechless and he gave her time to come to terms with her thoughts but she was still in shock. Minutes passed as they sat in silence and Sid thought he had got his answer until Padma came to the conservatory carrying drinks and snacks which broke their train of thoughts and they helped themselves to something. They were back to general conversation with Dhruv, Naina and Riddhima for a while until Sid asked her another question making her look up startled.

Sid: Niki…are you happy with this?

Nikita looked on at him not knowing what to say or do suddenly feeling goose bumps creep up her arms making her shiver. Before she could say anything Padma was back at the conservatory door letting her know that her parents were ready to go. Sid looked at her expression and blinked his eyes to her telling her that he understood then she left after saying bye to everyone.

A week later yet again the gang and guests had gathered in a hall to take part in Sid and Nikita's engagement ceremony; which was organised once again by Armaan and the Khushi Events crew. It was a small function just for the two families and their friends' families. Nikita looked great in a purple lengha which she carried off nicely and was getting a lot of compliments which she accepted with a sweet smile but two people in the entire hall noticed the confusion which filled her mind behind the smile. They watched her every move and she knew that they were looking at her which made her feel very uncomfortable.

Muskaan and Riddhima sat beside her teasing and having fun trying to make her enjoy herself. Naina came towards them with a huge smile and squashed herself between Riddhima and Nikita making them laugh at her excitement.

Naina: Come on girls…why is this party so boring…

Muskaan: We were waiting for you… - smiling

Naina: Now I'm here…but where are the guys?

Ridz: They should be around somewhere…find them and start your masti…

Naina: Fine…I'll go and look for Abhi and Rahul…and I'll send Sid over here…

Naina left the stage and went to find the guys while the girls talked to Nikita. A moment later Riddhima smiled widely as she spotted someone in the crowd; she was about to get up and walk towards them but Naina was back on stage with the guys and they started discussing what to do and Muskaan asked her to wait back. They started discussing if to have a challenge or just masti when everyone realised that Sid and Nikita were now silent and staring into each other's eyes; they all smiled silently when out of nowhere Abhi started singing the song Ishq Risk from the film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan making everyone turn to him.

Abhi: - to himself - Koi bole dariya hai...

The song came to the end and everyone cheered; Sid and Nikita were taken back to the stage and the ring ceremony was to begin as both of their family members followed them up onto the stage. Everyone looked on happily but Abhi who lurked around in the corner. Keerti placed the ring into Sid's hand and told him to put it onto Nikita; he took it and looked at her but he saw something which wrenched his heart; even though she wore a small smile he could see behind it and he knew she was screaming just one person's name in her mind and it was not his.

Sid: I'm sorry Niki…

Everyone looked at him in shock even Nikita wondered what he was doing but Sid just stood there and shook his head slow to Nikita.

Sid: I'm really sorry Niki…I can't go ahead with this engagement…

Well that's all for tonight...do keep in mind what i have said about AR and be a little patient...the story is based on AR and they will have their parts soon...but this is a big turning point for the other characters so once again just a little bit of patience... Please post your comments!
