PART 4 Anjali was overjoyed. The mistake done by her so called ex-husband will be rectified by her now. She knew both her chote and Khushi are eligible for all the happiness in the world and she will see to that they receive it. She knew it was a difficult job but she will do it, she thought after all she was as stubborn as these two. She made arrangements for Khushi to return to Delhi and also maintained it as a secret from her chote. She knew that he will be home when she returns from her trip and Khushi will be her gift to him. She and Akash planned everything and confirmed with the doctor about Khushi's health for travelling. Finally all the three travelled to Delhi and as Anjali has predicted her chote was there in the house to see whether she was okay from all the travelling. When Anjali's car reached the Shantivan Arnav felt the familiar feeling and was first delighted and then shook himself out of the reverie thinking that she will never come back to him after all he had did to her. He saw his sister coming inside and went to help her when she told him," Chote I have got a special gift for you. Go and open the back door of the car." Arnav had a foreboding but did as his sister told him. She watched with a grin on her face as her brother went to open the door. He opened the door and found the a pair of eyes which he could never ever forget in his whole life. The one person whom he loved, the one he had hated for breaking his defences, the one who he had shunned for spoiling his sister's life, the one he had regretted for causing her pain and the one he had longed would come back to him was right in front of him. After three long months which seemed like some hundred long years they both stared into each other's eyes, his seeking apologies and hers hatred and a bit of of remorse. They both kept staring at each other when Anjali interrupted tham and told them to come inside. Nani was very happy to see her back and Khushi bent down to seek her blessings. She was too overhelmed to speak and hugged her and said,"Khushi Betiya, we all missed you and finally you are back. Anjali said to me all the things you have gone through for her sake and we all owe you so much. Now that you are back our family's happiness will also return." The usually taunting Mami also welcomed her and apologised for her behaviour and Anjali told them," You are right Nani. Now Khushi is back our happiness is also back and she does indeed have some good news for us. Nani you are getting promoted and so am I. Our chote is going to be a father, Nani." Till that moment Arnav who had been staring at his wife, suddenly felt elation on hearing the news and immediately realised the circumstances that led to her pregnancy started feeling guilty. He looked at his wife for any emotion there but her face was blank. Everyone in the family were happy and feeding each other sweets at the good news. Finally Anjali noticing a tired Khushi asked her if she was alright and Khushi said to her that she would like to rest for a while as she is tired with all the travelling. Arnav who has been waiting for an opportunity to speak to her alone told his Di that he would help her to which Khushi objected and left her on her own. When the celebration ceased he left for his room as he felt he needed to speak to her. The moment he entered his room he was shocked to not find her there. He looked around everywhere and in the poolside and when he came down with an anxious expression, his Di asked him what was the matter. He replied that Khushi was not in his room to which she replied that she was in the room previously occupied by Lavanya. Arnav felt a stab of pain in his heart. He left for the room occupied by Khushi to see her lying in a foetal position with tear streaks on her face sleeping peacefully. He sat beside her and took her arms gently in his and said with all his heart," Khushi please forgive me. You are right. I will do anything in anger and later regret it. And in anger my mind fails to work. I know for what I did, you can never forgive me but I will seek it nevertheless and promise you that will always work for your happoness." Saying so he kissed her hands gently and left the room. As soon as he left the room Khushi opened her eyes and she too had tears in her eyes as she lppked at her retreating husband's back hoping that everything will be normal again.
