Part 16

***Flashback***

It had been a couple of months since Khushi and Lavanya met Kabir. Khushi had a crush on Kabir and was hoping that he would ask her out.

One day he did.

"Khushi", Hey " said Kabir ,he was out of breath from running behind her

Khushi turned around and heard Kabir as he came closer. She pulled her headphones off and saw Kabir

"He looks so cute right now" Khushi thought to herself.

"I wanted to know if you are free this Friday, I want to take you to dinner. "

Pinch me , I am dreaming thought Khushi

"Like a date ?" asked Khushi.

"Yeah" said Kabir shuffling his feet on the floor, I hope it won't be weird for you"

"It won't be, I would love to go to dinner with you" said Khushi happily.

"Wow, great , I will pick you up at 7 then" said Kabir

"Can't wait" said Khushi

After Kabir walked away Khushi immediately texted Lavanya telling her what happened.

Once Khushi got home, she told Payal about Kabir asking her out.

"Khushi, Are you sure about this, I don't really trust Kabir" said Payal worriedly.

"Jiji, Come on, he is a really nice guy and I have known him for a couple months, he would never hurt me" said Khushi confidently .

"Okay, but be careful around him okay" said Payal.

"Okay Jiji, Don't worry" Khushi assured Payal

On the day of the date Khushi was looking through her closet for something to wear and finally found a beautiful blue dress that came to her knees. "Perfect" she thought

Khushi quickly did her makeup and got dressed.

Soon the bell rang and Khushi's father opened the door. Khushi was coming towards the door when she heard Kabir talking to her parents and assuring them that he would take very good care of her and that they had nothing to worry about

Once they had said bye to everyone Khushi and Kabir sat in the car and zoomed off to a Mexican restaurant in the city, Crema.

When the waiter came over to show Khushi and Kabir to their table Kabir pulled out Khushi's seat for her.

"Thank You", said Khushi smiling.

"You're welcome Senorita " said Kabir sweetly

Omg, he is too sweet, Khushi thought to herself

Once they had sat down they began looking at the menu

When the waiter came Kabir immediately ordered a drink, Labios Calientes extra strong

Khushi was surprised because she didn't think that Kabir would ever drink

She ordered a regular soda because she did not drink

"Khushi, how boring only a soda" stated Kabir

"Yeah, I don't drink" answered Khushi

"Your decision" said Kabir

After awhile, the food they had ordered arrived.

Khushi felt so happy as she talked with Kabir, laughed with him.

Once dinner was over they both left from the restaurant and headed to the car. In a moment of happiness Khushi rushed over to hug Kabir. Once that was over they both got in the car and left for Khushi's house.

Kabir walked Khushi to the door and before she went in she kissed him on the cheek, "This was really fun Kabir, Thanks she said. She blushed and then went inside.

A couple days later Kabir asked Khushi to officially be his girlfriend. Of couse Khushi said yes not knowing what was ahead.

Part 17

Khushi was lost in her thoughts and she did not realize that she was holding a wet plate for five minutes and just staring ahead

"Khushiii" said Payal as she hit her on the arm

"Huh, Jiji" said Khushi

"You have been holding the plate in your hand for awhile plan on putting it down?" asked Payal

"Of course Jiji" said Khushi trying not to look distracted .

"What are you thinking about " asked Payal

"What you are going to make we wear on the outing on Friday" lied Khushi

Khushi's idea worked, Payal started talking excitedly about the many possible outfits

"I know that you lied to me Khushi, You were thinking about Kabir" said Payal to herself.

...

The next day Khushi was on her way to class when she heard Arnav calling her name. She stopped and turned around.

"Hey , How are you Khushi" asked Arnav

"I am good " said Khushi with a smile, "How are you?" she asked

"Great" replied Arnav

"Just wanted to know, are we still on for tomorrow?"

"We definitely are" said Khushi

"Good, I know it's a little weird, just wanted to make sure you were okay with it"

" I am okay as long as I do not have to witness Akash and Jiji staring deeply into each others eyes" joked Khushi

" I agree with that" said Arnav laughing

"I have to go, Don't want to be late for class" said Khushi

"Of course, go ahead, I will see you tomorrow" said Arnav.

After attending class Khushi went to meet Payal at her chemistry class. She saw Akash and Payal talking and smiled. She walked over to them

"Hey Khushi" said Akash

"Hey, how are you? "

"Good, So we are on for tomorrow right" asked Akash

"Yes we are, Arnav asked me to hang out with him while you guys go out"

"Okay great , we will pick you guys up together and then we can split up and go wherever"

"Okay, sounds good" nodded Khushi.

After the conversation Payal and Khushi left and headed to their English Class. As Khushi went in she saw Arnav wave at her and gesture to the seat next to him. She turned to Payal about to tell her that she will go sit with Arnav. Payal already had seen the exchange between Arnav and Khushi and nodded to Khushi telling her to go and sit with him

"Hey again" said Khushi

"Hey"

"How are classes going?"

"Good so far, yours? " asked Arnav

"Good"

Khushi sat down and her and Arnav continued talking, He couldn't help but stare at her. He saw how the expressions on her face changed with everything she said. He found himself smiling the entire time he was talking to her.

"Alright , today we are going to split up into groups and read different passages from the textbook. I will split you up into the groups" said Professor Young.

Khushi and Payal were put in the same group while Arnav was put in a different group. Each group had 30 minutes to read and answer questions about the passages that were given to them. Khushi pulled out paper while Payal started reading the questions that they needed to answer. After 30 minutes all the groups were each asked to come up to the front and present the answers to the questions. Khushi and Payal's group was first. Khushi was nervous. She was not very confident in public speaking. She was the first to speak. Arnav was staring at her again and before she knew it she was the color of a tomato. She stammered a couple of times but she got through her part of the presentation and ended with a relieved smile. Soon the class was over and Khushi was getting her things together . Payal came to her after grabbing her own things and they headed out of class. Arnav saw how nervous Khushi was and how she got through the presentation. Once he had gathered his things he headed towards the door. Once he was outside he was stopped by a tall guy.

"Arnav ?"

"Yes, who are you?"

"Don't worry about that, Understand one thing. Stay away from Khushi" said the guy

"Why do you care, who are you?" asked Arnav, now angry at this unknown guy.

"Just stay away from Khushi" said the guy and walked off.

"Who was this guy and how does he know Khushi" thought Arnav.
