I can't believe how I have missed such an immensely beautiful FF ever since. You wrote this in 2011 and I am reading this now. I stumbled upon this link, started reading the story and in 3 hours I am here and boy am I glad I did!
Where do I begin?
I want to say so much, tell you so much but words fail me. What soulful writing Lyraa!
Please bear with my speechlessness and not very intelligent comment - it tends to happen when I finish reading a story like this one - a story that emotionally engages me to a level that I live and breathe with the characters and from the cynic I usually am, I'm reduced to a soppy romantic. Behind that smile was one of those.

Even though I can't find the right words to tell you just how much I loved this story - I will say one thing.
Your writing is different from all the other FF writers I have enjoyed reading. And by different I mean...it surprises you every now and then.
Whenever I was reading a chapter of this FF, there was always some line...some sentence...some little word or phrase that completely stunned me with the great deal of meaning it held within...and with the depth of your thoughts and the expertise of translating emotions onto paper in raw, uninhibited form - just as they are meant to be conveyed. After a point, I looked forward to such lines in all the later chapters and you never disappointed.

Like there is one line that I remember - it was in the initial chapters when Arnav misunderstands Khushi and he says to his heart..."Heal damn it!"
These words were...something else.
I have read so many FFs on this theme, Arnav marrying her for his Di and his battle of the mind and the heart, and people have written paragraphs and full chapters on his emotional turmoil " but none of them moved me to the extent these three words did. Such a simplified expression of hurt buried deep within - yet so powerful. I have never read something like this. You are gifted, my friend. You have a way with words, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who's told you that.
There are so many other lines like these. Someday, when asli duniya goes lenient on me...I will come back..edit my comment and quote here each and every one of those special gems in the chapter that left such a deep impression on me whenever I read them.

I dunno if you come online anymore but my next stop will be your index hoping to read some more from you. Never stop writing!

Lots of love x🤗

It's such a beautiful story. I can't stop crying after reading this. Such raw emotions of khushi arnav. Khushi's pain after being disowned by everyone. I seriously wanted her to not forgive anyone for punishing her for no fault of hers. But she is khushi. She will think of other's happiness but hers. Hats off to you to write such a amazing story.

I discovered the story so late. From 2011 to 2015... I lost 4 years without realizing this amazing story. But anyways, better late than never. That was really a roller coaster story that I had different kind of emotions during the story. Anger, frustration, helplessness, hurt...

The way Khushi hid every pain behind her smile was too heart wrenching. She had to obey Arnav's demand of marriage, for him it was to save his sister's marriage, for her it was to provide her father the best treatment. But during this process, Khushi has suffered more than any human being can bear. Guptas rejected her without listening her pleas, didn't even allow her to see her father. Arnav didn't believe her when she said that she loved him. He acccused her for informing Anjali about Shyam's betrayal without knowing that it was Lavanya who told Anjali everything. Anjali blamed her for Shyam's sins. Even Lavanya blamed her for destroying Anjali and Arnav's lives. Buaji and Garima reminded her being an adopted daughter. It was already too late when Arnav had realized his mistakes that she has already traumatized and been suffering from depression. Arnav's pain was nothing compared to Khushi's.

Shaurya's love for her Avisha whom he named instead of Anjali, his childhood love whom he had to leave for his father's illness and responsibilities towards his family was so beautiful that even after so many years, he still remained loving her with his whole being.

Shaurya and Khushi's bonding, Shashi's unconditional and undying affection towards Khushi helped her to overcome the depression she has been suffering. It took her six months to come back to Raizada Mansion again. She has such a great heart that she could forgive Arnav after every pain he caused to her, after everything he had done to her.
