'Geet…Geet aankhein kholo Geet..' was reverberating in her ears. She could feel her Maan longing for her. She couldn't take it anymore. She wanted to tell him that she is there with him, always. She wanted to hug him, console him, wipe his tears, and love him unconditionally. 'Maan….Maan main yahi hoon Maan….' She thought as her fingers started getting life. Slowly her toes moved, her breathing started, her fingers moved, her lips quivered. Daadi, who was looking after her couldn't contain her excitement. She pointed it to Dev, who realized Geet was getting consciousness. His excitement knew no bounds and he ran out of the room to call Maan.

Nandini came and placed her hand on Geet's which she jerked it at once. This wasn't the touch she had expected. No! It should be her Maan! Daadi, too, touched her but Geet jerked away her hand too. She didn't open her eyes because she knew her Maan wasn't here. She wouldn't open her eyes until her Maan came. She waited for that touch…

'Bro! Geet ko hosh aaraha hai bro!' Dev screamed from upstairs and Maan turned at once. He knew it! He just knew it! And he ran upstairs like never before to see that glorious sight of his Mishty opening her eyes! He couldn't wait to get to her, to hug her, to embrace her and not let go of her at all. He just dashed into the room with Dev tagging behind and Daadi said 'Maan bete, unhe mat chooyiye…lagta hai unhe dard horaha hai…' Dev said 'nahi daadi…bhai ko mat rokhiye…unhe jo karna hai…karne dejiye…' and Maan slowly went and sat on the bed. He kept his palm on Geet's and she suddenly held it tightly in her hands. She knew it was Maan and Daadi understood why she had jerked their hands. Her eyes filled up with tears looking at their longing for each other and she came and caressed Maan's hair while Maan was still waiting for his Mishty to open her eyes.

She slowly, very slowly opened her eyes to see her Maan sitting in front of her. She couldn't control herself and she whispered Maan. Maan felt a relief wash over him after like ages. He had waited for this moment from 8 days without even eating anything and he just couldn't explain how he felt at that time. Her eyes were filled with tears and looking at that, he couldn't control himself. He just stood up and faced his back to her and went and stood by the window, trying to contol his tears which he knew would make her feel bad if she saw it.

She didn't like Maan going away from her when she wanted him to be there next to her. 'Maan…' she called out…'Daadi maa…Maan….Maan…woh mujhse baat nahi karenge?' and Daadi said 'nahi bete, aise nahi hai….' And Geet replied 'tyo phir kyun mujhse muh phula kar khade hai? Maan…kya aap mujhse baat nahi karenge….Maan kya aap mujhse naraz hai? Maan…'

He couldnt take it anymore and he went and hugged her as though he was hugging his life and Geet could feel the amount of pain he had gone through in her absence. He crashed her to himself and held onto her very very tightly fearing that if he let her go then Babaji would snatch her away from him. Geet hugged him back, making him realize that no one could separate them. He embraced her, bending because she was still lying down on bed. He held her tightly and buried his face in her hair and cried on her shoulders 'phir kabhi aisa mat karna Geet…toot jayega tumhare Maan…tumhare bina yeh 8 din maine narak dekha hai Geet…tumhare bina jee nahi paonga…please Geet phir kabhi mujhe chod ke mat jaana Geet…main tumhare bina nahi rehsakta….' She consoled him gingerly, wiping her tears. She hated to see her Maan crying…
