Geet : (st) ufff...it is getting late. I must reach the court in time. What if Maan leaves before i reach there?

Geet rushes out of the house; locks the door and walks toward the Taxi stand.

Geet would have walked only a few feet from her house. Pinky bumps into Geet. geet is confused to see pinky there

Geet: Pinky tum? Yahan kaise? Last night only you were having your engagement in Delhi na? why did you come back so soon?

Pinky starts to cry. Geet is shocked. now only Geet notices that Pinky's hair is all messy and her eyes are swollen as if she were crying the whole night.

Geet: kya hua pinky? Why are you crying?

Pinky couldn't talk anything. she hugs Geet and cries more. Geet is more confused. she caresses pinky's back and comforts her

Geet: don't cry pinky

Geet looks around the surrounding. Not wanting to attract any public attention, Geet takes Pinky to her home and makes her sit on the sofa.

Geet: ab batao...kya hua? What happened to your engagement?

Pinky starts to talk in the midst of sobbings

Pinky: last night, my fiancee didn't turn up for the engagement

Geet: (shocked) kya?

Pinky: haan.

Geet: lekhin kyun?

Pinky: i don't know

Geet: he is interested in this marriage. isn't he?

Pinky: i don't know

Geet: where is he now?

Pinky: i don't know...he even has switched off his mobile. we couldn't contact him since yesterday afternoon.

Geet: phir kya hua?

Pinky: my parents fought with his parents and they left our home

Geet feels bad for pinky

Pinky: then i got so angry and left the home last night itself and reached the hostel early morning.

Geet checks the clock

Geet: (st) Hey babaji! it is getting late. Maan will be waiting for me

Though geet wants to rush to the court, she is helpless. She tries to console Pinky

Geet: let me bring some coffee for you

Pinky: no thanks. i already had in the hostel

Geet: you had what? coffee?

Pinky: Poison

Geet: Poison? are you kidding me?

Pinky: i am telling the truth geet. after all that happened, i decided to end my life so i consumed poison. But you are my best friend na...so i wanted to see you before i die. That is why i came here. i have seen you...now i am ready to go

Geet couldn't believe her ears. She is frozen in her position

Pinky gets up from the sofa to walk toward the door, but she faints. Geet is hell shocked. she holds Pinky by her shoulder and makes lay down on the sofa.

Geet: pinky...aankhen kholo...pinky...can you hear me?...tumne yesa kyun kiya?

Pinky didn't open her eyes. Geet didn't know what to do. seeing Pinky like that, Geet's entire body is shivering . the scene of her parents death is still fresh in geet's mind. it scares her more.

After few seconds, Geet composes herself and calls the ambulance; sprinkles some water on Pinky's face and tries to wake up her;

Romeo barks at Pinky so as to wake her up. but no use...Pinky didn't open her eyes. her body temperature keeps decreasing

Geet bursts out into tears...

Geet: aankhen kholo Pinky! If you don't open your eyes, i will kill you idiot...please Pinky...i am scared

In few minutes, the Ambulance arrives at Geet's home.

@ the District court...

Time is around 11am...

Maan is patiently waiting for Geet. adi tries to read Maan's face to check if he is getting irritated by this prolonged wait. But Adi couldn't find any signs of irritation in Maan's face. Adi is surprised to see this new side of Maan Singh Khurana. Because MSK doesn't like wasting time in waiting for anyone

In the hospital...

Geet is anxiously sitting outside the Intensive Care Unit. Pinky is being treated inside. She is still in critical condition. Geet informs Pinky's parents who are in Delhi. They are on their way to Amritsar.

Geet keeps praying for Pinky while checking the clock frequently. Geet thinks to ask some of her classmates to come to the hospital and attend to Pinky so that she herself can leave for the court and meet Maan. at the same time, Geet fears that the news of Pinky's abandoned engagement and her suicide attempt will spread to the entire college and it will affect her studies. So Geet decides to not ask anyone's help.

@ the court...

Time is 11:55 am

Maan keeps cheking his watch frequently. As the times passes, Maan's tention is bulding up. his heart is beating fast.

Maan: (st) what if Geet doesn't come?...no Maan... still there are 5 minutes left...she will come for sure

Geet is simply a stranger to him...but he trusts her as if he knows her for ages. He didn't know the reason why he trusts her...and he didn't want to know the reason either.

In the hospital...

Geet is sitting in the hospital corridor holding her head with her hands. the doctors are yet to inform her about Pinky's condition.

The clock ticks at 12'O Clock. Geet lifts her head up and keeps staring at the clock silently. Maan's face keeps flashing in her mind.

Geet: (st) i am sorry Maan. i failed you...but i didn't do it deliberately...i am helpless...please forgive me

Tears roll down her cheeks uncontrollably. Geet couldn't understand, whom she is crying for...is it for Pinky or is it for Maan or is it for herself?

@ the court...

Maan keeps staring at his watch. The minute hand, ticks at 12'O clock. Maan lifts his head up and looks around the court campus to check if geet comes from any direction. but he couldn't spot her anywhere. He keeps staring at the entrance for few minutes. Maan's heart refuses to accept the fact that Geet didn't come

Adi is also disappointed that Geet didn't come. He stares at Maan to understand what is going on in his mind. but maan keeps staring at the entrance blankly

After few seconds, Adi calls maan hesitantly...

Adi: Maan sir...

Maan didn't reply

Not wanting to trouble Maan, Adi goes silent and keeps staring at Maan.

After few minutes, adi again calls maan

Adi: Maan sir...

Maan didn't reply this time also. now he keeps staring at his watch

Adi: sir...it is already 12:15

Maan didn't react to Adi's words

Adi: i don't think Geet will come hereafter

Maan says in a confident tone

Maan: she will come

Adi is dumbstruck by Maan's reply

Adi: (st) how come Maan sir still believes that Geet will come? For how long will he be waiting for her?

In the hospital...

It is around 4.30 pm

Pinky has been rescued from critical condtion. the doctors assures Geet that Pinky is out of danger. Geet is relieved. She goes and sits beside Pinky's bed and caresses her forehead. Pinky slightly opens her eyes and looks at Geet

Geet asks with fake anger...

Geet: you idiot...didn't you find any place in Delhi to end your useless life?

Pinky replies in broken language

Pinky: in Delhi...there was no Geet ...to save me. that is why... i chose ...Amritsar... to kill myself

Geet smiles

Geet: you scared me Pinky

Pinky: i am sorry Geet

Geet: dubara yesa math karna

Pinky: Geet! you are the best...thanks for saving me

Geet: acha...now are you thanking me? i will kill you idiot...i think Yama is still eagerly waiting for you in the hell. I guess i can help him

Geet checks her watch

Geet: (st) it is already 5...why i am having a feeling that Maan will be waiting for me even now?

Finally the parents of Pinky and Adi arrive there

Geet decides to go to the court. Without wasting anymore time, she excuses herself from Pinky & Co and comes out of the hospital. She hires a taxi and rushes toward the court.

Maan is still waiting for Geet. he didn't have any idea until when he is going to wait for her?

His mobile rings. But Maan is not in a mood to talk to anyone now. he ignores the call. Adi tries to bring maan's attention towards his mobile

Adi: maan sir...

Maan: hmmm

Adi: mobile

Maan takes his mobile out of his jeans pocket and gives it to Adi

Adi checks the caller name. the call is from Adi's father's number. Adi is shocked to the core. The phone keeps ringing. Maan's is irritated

Maan: why are you staring at the mobile as if you are going to swallow it? attend the call

Adi: my father..

Maan: (confused) kya?

Adi: my father is on the line

Maan: why is he calling my number?

Adi: may be because...my mobile is switched off

Maan rolls his eyes

Maan: attend the call

Adi: i am scared

Maan: kyun?

Adi: last night i didn't attend my engagement function

Maan snatches the mobile from Adi and attends the call

Maan: hello...

Adi's dad informs Maan about Pinky's suicide attempt; asks him to convey the message to Adi and cuts the call.

Maan is shocked. he feels guilty for being so selfish.

Maan: (st) Geet ke chakkar me, maine kya kardiya? i must have allowed Adi to attend his engagement. Because of my action, one life was about to be lost...

Adi: maan sir...what did my father say?

Maan decides to take Adi immediately to the hospital to see Pinky

Maan: adi! gaadi mein baito

Maan gets into the car

Adi: (confused) kya hua sir?

Maan: (shouts) gaadi mein baito

Adi gets into the car silently and stares at maan.

Maan feels bad for shouting at adi. he calms down and talks in a soft voice

Maan: adi!...your fiancee has been admitted into hospital

Adi: (shocked) sir...what happened to Pinky?

Maan: she had consumed poison...but now she is out of danger

Adi feels very bad for not informing Pinky about his inability to attend the engagement. Adi almost starts crying

Adi: all happened because of me sir...

Maan taps adi's shoulder

Maan: control yourself Adi...she is fine now...some how i am the one responsible for all these

Adi didn't want Maan to feel guilty

Adi: no maan sir...you have nothing to do with this...i am the one who told Geet that i am working as a PIMP instead of Person In-Charge Mega Projects...that is why all these things happen..

Maan: chup

Adi goes silent

Maan accelerates the car and starts driving.

Adi: but sir...what about Geet?

Without replying to Adi, Maan takes the car out of the court campus. Before leaving the court, he didn't fail to look around the court campus to check if geet comes.

All the way to the hospital, maan keeps checking the road for Geet.but he couldn't find her anywhere.

Fifteen minutes after Maan and Adi left for the hospital, Geet reaches the court. she goes to the place where she and maan first met. She is very disappointed that maan is not there. Her eyes start to search for him in the entire campus. she couldn't find him anywhere.

Geet: (st) he must have left the court in the noon itself. hai na?

She gets a lump in her throat.

Geet: (st) how could he leave just like that? can't he wait for me?

She couldn't understand why she expects him to wait for her even after 12'O clock.

Geet recalls his FM talk

Geet: (st) he told me na...he trusts me...then why he didn't wait for me?...what happened to his words...didn't he mean them?

Geet didn't know why she is feeling so disappointed.

Geet again looks around and searches for him. She notices a crowd at some distance. She runs there and enquires what happened. Someone from the crowd points to a trailing police jeep and tells her that jsut then the police arrested two criminals.

Geet's heart almost stops. she misunderstands that Maan and Adi have been arrested by the police. Without thinking even for a second, geet runs after the police jeep shouting maan's name, " Maan...Maan...Maannn...Maan...Maan".

After running for some distance, geet realises what she is doing. She stops immediately

Geet: (st) ye main kya kar rahi hu? i am running after a police jeep to save a pimp. Hai na?

She keeps staring at the jeep. In few seconds, the jeeps disappears from her sight

Geet: (st) iska matlab... Maan is really a pimp. Hai na?

Suddenly some doubt raises in her mind

Geet: (st) may be mamaji would have come and given my letter to the police. Because of my stupid letter, police would have arrested Maan. yeh maine kya kardiya? now what will Maan think about me...he must be thinking that i deliberately got him arrested. Ab main kya karu babaji?

In order to confirm her doubt, Geet calls Jugnu mama's mobile and asks him about his whereabouts. Mamaji tells informs he is still in Hoshiarpur.

Geet is shocked

Geet: (st) mamaji is still in Hoshiarpur and he didn't know anything about my letter. then why the police arrested Maan? is maan really a pimp?

The perceived truth is too painful for her to bear. She wants to cry her heart out. She couldn't stay there anymore. She hires a taxi and rushes to her home.

Geet reaches her home; she goes to her room; throws herself on the bed

Geet: why he is a pimp?

She cries uncontrollably. At the same time, she hates herself for feeling bad for a pimp and curses herself for crying for him

Geet: (st) geet! you are crying for a pimp. Aren't you? you should be ashamed of yourself geet...i hate you geet... i hate you

Right now she couldn't understand what is killing her. is it her perceived truth that Maan is a pimp, is it his arrest or is it her tears for a pimp.
