oh how can I explain this line of Maan breaks my heart...typical man passing judgement on girls character when she slapped his ego by pointing out his own.

Geet is stunned and eyes moist because one more person is added to the list who only see outer appearence but don't want to see inner soul... she may have come there to say sorry to him for hurting him because she is pure from heart..she didn't want to say any rude words to him...but here Maan when now he can't get any help from her...he is throwing her out by accusing on her.

Chapter 15 - No one can marry you

He decided to call Dadima before he changes his mind, his decision...he cannot let his heart rule him...

"Dadima...you are right about Geet, I am ready to marry where ever you say..."

"Maan, I am so happy...Today only I will go back to Patiala and make arrangements..."

He felt peace...and turned back and saw her, she was standing...stunned, with eyes mist...

"Geet..." he was stunned...seeing her flushed face.

"Maan...I came to tell you that I will talk to your Dadima but now you have already consented for marriage...so ..."

"Yes...I thought this is better...How much I can lie...?" he was actually surprised still trying to absorb the fact she was standing in front of him, he was troubled by her eyes...and he forgot his promise made to himself, sometime back...

She nodded...and was about to go...he caught her hands...

"Geet,...Kya hua...? You upset...?"

"No, nothing..."

He looked at her eyes...which were struggling...and he could no longer control himself..."Damn it...tell me ...what is troubling you...?"

"I said nothing..." She flared and released herself from his hold.

"Geet,...will you please speak...?" he blocked her way, could not let her go...

"I thought you are different but you are same like others..." she looked in his eyes...

He was numbed..."What do you mean...?"

"Better get married...that only suits you..."

"Geet...how dare you...?"

"No...MK...it will be better for you..." she again smirked...

"Yes, at least I don't have to take help from a woman like you..." he wanted to hit her badly.

"Woman like me...? " her eyes were hurt..."What do you know about me ?"

He had no answer...

She stood there for few seconds...didn't speak and then..."Its better you get married, man like you cannot do more then this..."

He could not take anymore...he blasted..."Geet...you are fired...I don't want to see your face in my office..."

She stood there for few seconds...gave him a disgusting look, "I also don't want to work with you..." and she left banging the door.

He sank in the chair..."I am right...no one can marry a woman like her, she is such a ..."

but soon he started feeling bad..."I blasted on her...I never knew I could be angry also...In my whole life I have never shown anger to anyone...but she...she infuriates me so much..."

He stood up, restless..."She is going to make me insane...I need a break...I need to go off from all this..."

She was tossing on the bed...still thinking about the day events...

"Geet..you also took decision hastily..."

"Yes...but he was insulting me so much...and then he said I am fired..."

"Geet...forget it...remember your project..."

"Yes...my project is important but I can't work with a man like him...he is such a jerk... I always felt he is with a difference, he is not like others whom I have met. I misunderstood him...He is same..."

"Geet, forget what he said...he was also angry...tomorrow probably everything will be fine..."


Next day

She came to work ...waited for him to call...but then couldn't control and came to his cabin...it was locked...

She called up Adi...

"Adi...MK is not in today...?"

"Geet, he has taken off for few days..."

"OK...Did he leave any message for me...?"

"No...Geet..."

She sighed..."So everything is fine..."

She was about to keep the phone...

"Geet, do you know...MK's marriage is fixed...?"

"Fixed...?" Yes she knew it...so why she is surprised...

"Yes,...so probably MK will be back after engagement..."

"Oh OK..."

She suddenly felt her heart heavy..."Geet control yourself...you promised to yourself..you are not going to let anyone affect you..."

She shrugged off all thoughts, back to work...



After few days @Patiala

Since his arrival at Patiala, he has kept himself busy...engaged, away from all office work...not letting her thought to come, but he knew she is there each and every moment with him...

Today is engagement...and he will meet Radhika soon,. everyone is so happy with his decision...except Maa...she still cannot believe it...Her eyes always tells him...she is not believing him...She is the only person in his life who wants him to be happy...

Soon everyone came...Radhika's family...his relatives...

He looked at Radhika...extremely beautiful and when he chatted with her...he found her intelligent and charming.

"Maan... .shayad jo ho rahan hain sahin hain...Radhika main woh sab hain jo tere jeevan sathi main hon chahiye... Don't think too much...you will forget Geet soon..."


Next day


Geet opened up the news paper...and soon her eyes went to his photograph with Radhika, their engagement snap, they looking in each other's eyes...smiling...

She didn't like it, she didn't like it...she took her eyes off the photograph and straightway opened her laptop and emailed her resignation letter.

"Geet resigned …?"

He immediately called Adi in his cabin…..

"Adi, what is this? She resigned and nobody cared to inform me?"

"Sir, we thought we can discuss it when you come back, anyway she was not ready to stay back. She said you only have asked her to leave…"

He then remembered their last torrid discussion but then she took it seriously…? She knew it was in a rage…he never meant it….….

"But this is so un-professional..How can she leave without giving enough time…and you know we don't know anything about Petrochem yet…"

"Sir…… she explained to me all before leaving…"

"Where is she now...?" he wanted to talk to her…

"Sir, we are hearing she is joining Solar energy…their CEO was sacked recently…"

"Solar Energy? Raj Chopra….is CFO..?"

"Yes…"

He became silent…Yes what else she can do…Raj Chopra…

Adi waited for his further questions and then left him….

"Maan…whatever happened has happened for good. You wanted her to go away from you…now she has left the company…and that's better…"

"But she should have talked to me once….How can she leave like that…? I never thought she will be so un-professional."

"Let me talk to her….." he picked up his cell and dialed her number…then stopped….

"Maan…she is joining SolarEnergy…and you know her attitude….fir what are you going to talk…Don't you think it's too late…"

Next day

His eyes immediately caught the headlines….

He kept the newspaper back without reading…..

"So, she joined finally…"

He was still in his thoughts and received call from Dadima...

"Maan, Panditji has fixed the marriage date, we have only month in hand…Please take out some time for preparation…"

Inside….he was still restless…at least she should have talked to me before leaving……

It was her first day…she was looking at her schedule…all meetings and meetings only…..

"Geet…I think I am the luckiest man…Now I can meet you whenever I feel like…"

"Raj…you know…. I have a pretty busy schedule…" she took coffee from him and glanced at the newspaper……"

And her eyes caught the bytes on his wedding preparation….

"Media is going completely hyper for MK's wedding…they even are finding out which mineral water will be served…"

"Yes…its royal wedding and then he is a billionaire" she sighed, folding the paper…

"Geet, how was your working with MK…I mean, though it was for short time…but still…I know he is very stubborn…His values…His principles…ethics…"

"Yes, I also had thought same about him…but he is not strong enough to carry them…His values hold good till it suits him…"

"Geet, what happened? You are very sarcastic about him…..I have never heard you talking about anyone like this…"

"Nothing as such…." She tried to close the discussion.

"So what are you doing tonight….Do you mind coming with me? I still remember our last time at Mumbai…and I am looking forward for it again…"

"No…I am busy tonight…" she lied.

"So say next week…?"

She hesitated for few seconds…then firmly looked at him…"Raj, we are now colleagues , I would like to maintain professional relationship with you only…you know it will not be good for company image…"

"Geet…" he was disappointed, left her.

She was herself now puzzled…. "Geet, what has happened to you? He is a good company…you have enjoyed some good times with him…So how could you refuse?"

"Company image…..you know…" she tried to convince herself…

"Geet, since when you have started caring about company image…? Your image…? You always believed in doing what you feel like…"

"Because I am not happy…. I don't want to go anywhere…something is constantly bugging me…"

She was agitated…she closed her eyes for few seconds…flashes of his anger…coming constantly to her….

"I am upset…because he insulted me… I had thought he is different man…but he is also same…he tried to malign me for his need….and he didn't cared to call me also…"

"Geet…forget him…forget your promise…..your career is most important to you…and you have forgotten your project also…"

"Yes……. I have to start looking at it again…"

After few days

"Hey Maan, where are you? You know I am at Delhi….I want your help in wedding shopping…"

"Radhika, I don't like this shopping please..."

"Maan, shopping toh bahana hain…I want to spend some time with you…"

"Maan, you there…?"

"Yes…Fine I will take you…."

He got ready and then picked her from her place…..she wanted to buy some jewels…and soon they landed in a jeweler shop

He waited for her…while she was selecting…it was a big shop…he looked around…and couldn't believe himself….his eyes widened with surprise…she was there at the counter doing payment…..

He simply rushed…

"Geet…." He called her….she turned back…

He was more stunned to see her….her hair tied in a pony…her small diamond danglers…her off-shoulder dress….her mole…her neck….in one glance he took sip of hers….satisfying his thirsty eyes….for so many days he was controlling his urge…

"MK….you here..?" Geet wanted to be calm…

"My fiance wanted to buy some ornaments…"

"Oh…where is she…?"

"There…" he showed her….

She looked at her… "She is very beautiful…Congratulations MK..!"

He nodded….

"I have heard you have joined…SolarEnergy…"

"Yes…" she nodded….

"You should have talked to me once before leaving….." he could not hold it anymore inside him.

"Does it matter now…?" she asked him…..

He could not say anything…..his eyes were stuck on her…..he wanted to answer her…but she is right…it doesn't matter now….and then they were interrupted by Radhika….

"Maan…I have selected few…Come and help me…"

"Radhika…I want you to meet Geet…she was working with me earlier…"

"Hey Geet…why don't you join us…you know I am having hard time in selecting…." She smiled.

"Radhika…I think you should take his advice….his choice is important..and anyways mine and MK's choice never meet…"

"Geet, I will be very pleased to see you in our wedding…"

"I will come, if you invite me…" she was again at her charming ways….her eyes fluttered.

"Yes sure….Please do come…"

She gave a complete look to Maan…and left both of them….

After few days

She was going through newspaper sipping her Tea…and then saw their photos splashed….

"Media is really going mad…there is no other news…."

She threw the paper... "Geet you are not going to read the newspaper for next few days…."
