Samir: Hain..aur nahi toh kaya...ooye B'day boy, zara tuh bhi bol diyo, main kab se kahe jaa raha hun...looking at Maan.
'...hain, tum ayogi toh ,i mean tum dono aayogi toh mujhe achha lagega Geet...
Maan smiles.
Geet remains silent with a shy look.
Its about 6 in the evening, Geet is getting ready to go there for Maan's party in Samir's house. Today she is wearing a beautiful bottle green chudidaar kurta, looking so pretty on it. She is waiting for Arohi as she has told Geet that she would pick her up by 6.30. After a while her mobile phone rings up. Its Arohi.
Geet: Arre, tuh kahan hai, main kab se tera wait kar rahi hun'
Arohi: Yaar'...sorry, par main tujhe lene nahi aa paayungi.
Geet: Kaya'!!! toh main kaise pahunchungii wahan pe..?
Arohi: Arre address tujhe pata hai na...'taxi leke aa jaa'
Geet: Par Arohi, main ghar mein kaya bolungii'...hamare beech kaya tay huya tha key tuh mere ghar aayegii, aur phir sabse permission leke phir hum jaayenge'...hai na'!!
Arohi: Yaar tay huya toh tha, par woh kaya hai naa'...Samir ka phone aaya tha...i mean he needs help, aab woh akela kaya kaya karegaa bechara...'samjha kar yaar.
Geet: Ohho'...badi fikr ho rahi hai Samir ki'...aur mera kaya'!!
Arohi: Tuh tension naa le, when Arohi is here, no fear'...ek kaam kar, mujhe zara aunty se baat karwa'
Geet: Par kyun'?
Arohi: Arre tuh baat karwa toh sahi'
Geet finds Rano in to the kitchen.
Rano: Kaya huya beta?
Geet: Maa, woh Arohi aapse baat karna chahti hai '...Geet passes the phone to Rano.
Rano: Hain Arohi beta, kaisi hai ?
Arohi: Aunty main thik huin, woh kaya hai naa ,aaj mera birthday hai, so agar aap Geet ko mere ghar bhej deti toh'...
Rano: Hain,par beta akele yun raat ko...'tum toh jaanti ho na'...
Arohi: Aunty, aap bilkul tension naa lijiye, main khud aake Geet ko ghar chod jaayungii.
Rano smiles'...thik hai beta, par jaldi wapas aa jana'
Arohi: Ok , thank u aunty'...Arohi cuts the call.
Rano stares at Geet'...Beta, tuh jana chahti hai , toh main nahi rokungii, par apna dhyan rakhna, aur jaldi wapas aa jana.
Geet smiles, bilkul Maa, main bas 1-1/2 ghante mein wapas aa jayungii'
Geet wraps up that gift for Maan within a beautiful gift-box, just about to leave, when she finds Brij in her way.
Brij: Kahan jaa rahi hai Geet..?
Geet: Ji, woh Veerji, woh'...she starts fumbling'
''woh Arohi ke ghar ja rahi hai , uushka janmdin hai aaj'...Rano completes her sentence.
Brij: Iitni raat ko, akele'.!! kahin jaane ki zarurat nahi hai'...Janmdin'...yeh sab bade logonke chonchle hain'
Geet stays there silent'...her eyes get watery.
Rano: Brij bete, Arohi ka phone aaya tha, woh uushe khud wapas chod ke jaayegi'..
Brij: Maa, aapke laad-pyaar ne hi bigada hai iishe'...gives a stern look to Geet'...chal main chod deta hun tujhe.
Geet: Nahi Veerji, main taxi leke chali jaayungii'...bas yehin pe toh hai'.
Brij: Mujhe Arohi ka ghar pata hai '..chal ,main bhi ushi taraf jaa raha hun, chod deta hun...abhi taxi kahan milegi tujhe.
Geet looks clueless, Rano signals her to do what Brij has said. Geet has no other way out rather go with Brij.
After a while Brij stops his car nearby Arohi's house. Geet still sits there inside the car.
Brij: Kaya huya...'jaa naa'...pahle toh yahan aane ke liye uchal rahi thi'...aab kaya huya'
Geet : Jii'...She gets out from the car.
Brij: Aur sun, jaldi wapas aa jana'
Geet: Ji, Veerji , Arohi mujhe ghar chod degi, aap chinta mat kijiye'...Thank U...'Brij doesn't show any interest at her greet , only starts the car & departs from there.
Geet stands there for a while, thinking about what to do now, finally she decides to take a cab towards Samir's place.
Finally Geet reaches there on Samir's house. Arohi is waiting there for her.
Arohi: Kahan rah gayee thi, address nahi mil raha tha kaya?
Geet: Adress toh mil gaya, par aane se pahle ghar mein Brij veerji mil gaye the'.
Arohi: Brij Veerji'..she almost yells out'...'then controls herself'
Geet : Aur nahi toh kaya'...woh mujhe chodne aaye the'
Arohi: Yahan pe'..she again speaks out loudly'.
Geet: Nahi , tere ghar mein'.
Arohi almost cries in shock '...mmmre ggghar mein'...tuhhh pagal ho gayee hai kaya'...she starts stammering.
Geet: Toh aur kaya karti, bhul gayee Madam, Maa ko kaya kaha tha aapne'...aapki B'day hai naa aaj'.
Arohi: Par '..
aur bhi kisika B'day hai aaj '...hain'.!! Samir interrupts.
Arohi : He he he'...nahi woh bas'...she changes the topic'...Geet, yeh decoration kaisa laga tujhe, Sammy ne kiya hai sab'.
Geet: Sammy'.!!! She looks surprised & then smiles naughtily'...Samir gets embarrassed'...nahi woh , Arohi ne bhi bahut madat ki hai'...main abhi aata hun'...he departs from there.
Geet: Hmmm, yeh Samir se Sammy kab ban gaya'...mujhe toh kuch pata hi nahi chala'...Geet stares at Arohi mischievously.
Arohi: Geet tuh bhi naa ainvehii'...she gets interrupted as Samir shouts out ... here comes the B'day Boy'...Mr. Maan Khurana...taaliyannn'...everyone's clapping'.. Samir signals something to someone up there nearby the roof, as Maan is just about to enter in to the room, loads of Rose petals start to fall on him from the ceiling along with an old hindi film-song'.."BAHARO FUL BARSAYOO , MERA MAHBOOB AAYA HAI'...MERA MAHBOOB AAYA HAI" Maan looks quite embarrassed, he knows only Samir can do all this'...he holds Samir by his ear'.
Samir: Arre , arre , aaree'...kaya kar raha hai yaar..
Maan: Kaya kar raha huin'!!! yeh main puchhun tujhse'..badmaash , yeh sab kaya hai '..
Samir: Hey uparwale'...raham karo, bhalaii ka toh zamana hi nahi hai, iitni mehnat ki, uushki toh koi kadar hi nahi hain kisiko yahan pe'...making baby face.
...hain , bas ek hi galti huyee hai , yaar , iish gaane ka female version nahi mila mujhe'...agar koi aur yeh gana gata tere liye toh'...signaling at Geet'...Maan is about to hold his ear again, but he is sliding away from his grip. Geet, Arohi, everyone starts laughing by watching these 2 fighting with each other like kindergarten kids.
Geet slowly moves towards Maan, he is looking cool, calm, yet very presentable in his blue shirt & blue denim. Maan is also staring at Geet, not actually staring but gets mesmerized with her beauty. Specially her eyes, Maan doesn't know what remains there within those 2 simple, yet deeper dark almond -twinkle eyes, which always keep him spellbound. Geet reaches nearby Maan, & bids him a "Happy B'day", & then offers him that gift. Maan looks surprised to get a present from her. He is so overwhelmed, that can't say anything. Geet tells him to open it up. Maan unwraps the gift-box, there is a beautiful black Bow-Tie, which Maan has chosen on that shopping mall, but returned it back only for Geet. Maan looks hugely surprised after seeing that gift.
Maan: Yeh toh'.
Geet: Wohi Tie hai , jisse aapne pasand kiya tha'.
Maan : Par yeh toh tumhne '.
Geet: Maan, sayed Babaji ko yehi manjoor tha,,,,woh sayed yeh mere hi haatho se aapko dena chahte the...'yeh aap par bahut achha lagega'..
Maan smiles shyly, then stares at her lovingly'...Geet puts the tie on to his neck just to check how does he look with it, but gets caught by his deep, steamy eyes '...both are lost in each other for a while, suddenly Samir comes there in.
Samir: Bhai sahab'..Cake-wake kaatna bhi hai , yah bas yuhi ek dusre ki aankhon mein aise hi khoye rahna hai'...Geet gently smiles. Maan looks angrily at Samir.
Maan: Ek minute, ek minute, Cake tuh baad mein khana , pahle mera gift kahan hai '.
Samir: Kaunsa gift yaar'
Maan: Aare mera B'day gift'..nikaal '..nikaal abhi'. kaya laya hai mere liye'...aaj main tujhe nahi chodungaa'..har saal yehi karta hai tuh'.
Samir: Ruko mere baap, aa raha hai , aapka tofa aa raha hai'...aapke liye ek surprise hai'...woh dekho'. indicating towards the door-entrance '.
Samir: Aayiye Sir'...Maan gets stunned as he finds his Coach Sir along with his whole team-mates are there for him to wish him in his B'day. Coach Sir steps forward & hugs him tightly.
Coach: Maan, aaj B'day tumhara hai , par mujhe tumhse ek gift chahiye '.
Maan looks surprised , '..hain Sir, boliye'..
Coach: Maan , mujhe tumhe phirse khelte huye dekhna hai'...waise hi sixer maarte huye, century karte huye dekhna hai'.
Maan: Par Sir, main kaise'
Coach: Maan, main tumhe achhese jaanta hun, aisa koi bhi kaam nahi hai jo tum chaho toh nahi kar sakte'...mujhe pura yakeen hai, tum apne dusre haath se bhi khel paayoge, main toh kahta hun aur bhi behtar khel paayoge'
Maan: Sir'...par...
Coach: Par-war kuch nahi , mujhe pata hai tumhe aaj hi discharge mila hai hospital se, iishi liye , kal se nahi, lekin parsu se, mujhe tumhe practice mein dekhna hai , time yaad hai naa'...thik subhe'...
Maan: 7 bajhe.
Coach: Correct'...patting Maan on his back.
Maan: Sir, mujhe bahut achha laga aap log yahan aaye'.
Coach: Maan, sukhriya kahna hi hai toh apne dost Samir ko kaho'...yehi aaya tha mere pass, mujhe toh maaloom hi nahi tha key tum bacchpan mein kabhi-'kabaar apne dono haatho se khela karte the'...yeh baat iishine mujhe bataya'...Maan, aab toh mujhe bhi pura yakeen hai tum ekdin zarur India ke liye kheloge', zarur kheloge, hum sab tumhare saath hain.
Maan looks at Samir...'Samir is smiling,
Samir: Maan , aisi koi baat nahi, Sir toh bas aise hi'...Maan moves towards him & hugs him tightly. Samir holds him back.
Samir: Bas bahut huya, aab rulayega kaya mujhe...patting Maan's back'...yaar khusi ka mauka hai , kaya hum sab saddy-saddy ho rahe hain , chal Maan, Cake kaat'...Sir, aap bhi aayiye naa'...Arohi'...
Arohi brings a beautifully decorated, chocolate cake for Maan.
Maan asks Geet to stand beside him. Samir lights up the candles & asks Maan to blow them up. Maan does the same, & then cuts the cake, while everyone is cheering "Happy B'day" for him. The 1st bite of Cake he offers to his coach, as he is the most senior among them all. Then he makes Geet eat the next piece & then goes to Samir, then Arohi, then his rest of the friends. Geet also gets Maan a much bigger piece.
While Maan is busy eating, Samir starts caressing his whole face with cakes, the next very moment Maan holds him from the back & puts all the creamy part on to his face. Everybody out there is enjoying that 'cake-war' between them. Even Geet can't hold herself from burst out into huge laughter.
The whole evening passes by so quickly, Geet-Maan both have realized that there is something in between them which always attracts them to each other, but both don't know how to express their heart. Geet is sitting there in a corner now, waiting for Arohi to come, who is there dancing with Samir in the middle. Geet gets up & walking around outside the party room. It's a nice garden like area. Some big, unknown flowers are there surrounding the whole place. Suddenly Geet finds Maan just next to her side. She feels so happy to see Maan, as if she only wants to spend some good time with him, only with him.
Maan: Geet , tum thik toh ho naa'
Geet: Hain'...kyun , mujhe kaya huya hai'.
Maan: Nahi, kuch pareshan si dikh rahi ho'...Geet gets surprised , how come he understands her mind.
Geet: Nahi , aisi toh koi baat nahi, woh wapas jana hai naa'.
Maan: Geet, mujhe tumse kuch kahna hai...Geet stares at him with popping eyes, as she suspects whether he reads out her mind & also her feelings for him.
Maan: Kaya huya, tum aise kyun dekh rahi ho mujhe'.
Geet: Kuch nahi, aap kaya kahna chahte the?
Maan: Geet'... woh'...aaj ke liye thanks'...tum yahan bas mere liye aayee...'tum sab kitna sochte ho meri khusi ke liye...'aur main tumlogon ke liye kuch bhi nahi'...he can't finish his sentences as Geet puts her finger onto his lips'.
Geet: Chup'...bilkul chup'...kaya kah rahe hain aap Maan'...aapne mere liye kuch nahi kiya !!!! her eyes are filled with tears ...mujhe yeh dusri zindegi aap hi ke liye mila hai , aaj jo main hans rahi huin, jee rahi hun, sirf aur sirf aap...Geet stops in midway'...Babajii, yeh kaya bol gayee main'...she murmurs. Maan watches her without a blink, Geet looks nervously at Maan, still he is gazing at her , suddenly he moves slowly towards her, his hand reaches out to her face, Geet can't shift her eyes from his gaze.
Maan holds her face & inches closer to her...Geet can feel his breath now, both are getting close & more close. Geet knows what Maan is going to do next, but she doesn't know why she also feels the same way, why she also wants to be there in his arms'.
Maan looks into her eyes, the distance between the two thirsty lips are about to be dissolved in, but suddenly Maan holds himself back. His sudden setback makes Geet quite awkward. She doesn't know what to say'.
Geet: Maan, kaya huya'.?
Maan: Nahi Geet'...yeh galat hai , galat hai yeh'...Geet looks stunned.
Geet: Maan, kaya main aapke kaavil nahi '...aap bhi mujhe Dev ki tarha'!!!
'...nahi Geet, Maan stops her midway '...main tumhare kavil nahi '...mere saath tum kabhi khus nahi rah paayogii'...siwaye dukh ke main tumhe kuch nahi de sakta Geet'...kuch nahi'...kuch nahi '...Maan rushes out from there, Geet tries to make him stop, but he doesn't'...Meanwhile Arohi reaches there.
Arohi: Geet kaya huya, tuh yahan kaya kar rahi hai'?
Geet: Kuch nahi'...she is still staring anxiously at that way through which Maan gets disappeared just a while ago.
Arohi: Chal, abhi nahi nikle toh der ho jaayegi'.
Geet: Par mujhe Maan se kuch baatein karni thi'
Arohi: Baatein baad mein kar lena, aab chal, maine hamare driver ko bol diya hai, woh tujhe ghar drop kar dega'...chal chal chal'...Arohi almost drags Geet out from that place.
It's been quite late. Arohi's car was stuck there in the traffic jam, resulting more or less 30 mins delay. Although Arohi drops her back to the home. Geet enters through the main doorway. Lights in Daarji's room are still switched on, it means Daarji is still awakened which is quite an awkward thing, as normally in this time at night Daarji mainly gets into sleep. Geet is about to enter into her room, she hears Daarji's loud voice...'..GEET'...!!!
