Chapter 12

Pushing in through the doors their eyes set out on the search of one girl. Walking in quite a distance Maan stood stunned as he saw Geet walk out from a room in simple lavender v-necked dress. As the silky straps tied behind her neck, and at her back lining her perfect curves, the dress then flowed down delicately a little higher then her knees. Her hair pulled back with a butterfly clip, dropping it in a fountain gave sole attraction to her face.

Looking at her in front of him, reminded him that she was more than cute. She was mesmerizing.

"Stop gaping at her like that," Sufiyan interrupted with a devil grin. Maan looked away instantly, and blushed a bit at being caught.

He looked back towards Geet, but she was gone. Sufiyan poked him and directed towards the kitchen entry way. Maan turned around to see Geet, but now she had a black coat on indicating that she was working as a caterer. Maan sighed, "How could I forget, she works here."

"Really?" Sufiyan asked.

"Yeah it looks like that; I mean she was here serving us food when we came here the first time. Remember."

"Oh yeah," Sufiyan said and then returned his gaze back towards the Geet, who at the moment was taking the tray away from one of the girls and from the looks and hand motions it sounded like she was telling her to leave.

Both guys made their way towards the girls.

Pari objected, "Geet no ways, I am not leaving you alone to all this. I practically died in last 15 minutes while you were gone. I can't imagine how you handle all this."

Geet chuckled, "And the very reason why you should leave. Just go, enjoy the party or if you don't want to then my room is always open for you. Leave me and my pity self to deal with the mess over here."

Sufiyan and Maan stopped at a good distance as they heard the conversation.

Pari tried to object once again, but Geet was superior than her when it comes to stubbornness, "Now, go. I don't want to hear a word from you."

Pari crossed her arms and stood firm on the ground, after minutes she broke the eye contact and walked into the kitchen. Geet left to go out in the front yard to attend the guests.

The guys glanced back and forth the opposite ways, not sure what to do next. Right then Pari walked out with another tray in her hand and said out loud, "Ms. Geet Handa, I am your best friend that makes me no less than you. I do what I set my mind to. And, there is no way I am enjoying while my best friend is suffocating in this hell," as she roamed her eyes around the place.

She walked a few steps up to see Maan and Sufiyan. Both guys suddenly started talking rubbish. Pari smiled seeing Sufiyan but her happiness was short lived. Her smile turn in to a frown when she remember the other afternoon when Maan had called Geet to meet him, but when she went towards both, him and Sufiyan didn't care to talk instead they drove away in their BMW.

"Geet was right, Maan is a superstar and he will always be one and Sufiyan is his best friend. Why did I expect him to be any different? God Pari you are such an idiot to even think you started liking that guy," Pari thought out loudly. When she realized she had said it out loud she looked around and heaved a sigh when she saw no one close enough to hear her.

Damn, she wished Sufiyan and his superstar friend had heard her, so that they would get out. But, to her dismay they still stood where they were. She shook her head and walked away.

Both boys turned to look at her back and eyed each other; turns out they had heard her after all.

Maan said, "So, that is your girl."

Sufiyan confirmed, "Man even her name is angle, Pari."

Maan pulled him out of his dream state, "and apparently, she hates you too."

Sufiyan glared at his friend, "Yeah all thanks to you," and turned around to walk away. After walking a few steps he retraced them and found himself standing besides Maan.

Maan looked at him and asked, "I thought you were mad at me."

"I am but that will have to wait as we are over here for your girl and not mine," Stating so Sufiyan walked in the same direction as Pari had left.

"Maan!" Tanya screamed.

Maan ducked his head. That was the last thing he needed, the twins spotting him at their party.

Tanya rushed towards him and nearly pushed Sufiyan. Pari who was standing near by placed the plate in her hand down on the coffee table and held Sufiyan so as to prevent him from falling down.

"Thanks," Sufiyan said and got a fake smile in return.

As soon as Tanya let go of Maan, Sanya wrapped her arms around him.

"Damn, I hate hugs," Maan cursed. Sufiyan chuckled.

Sanya let go of him and asked, "What?"

Maan said, "Nothing, I didn't say anything."

Sanya said, "Oh, but I heard you saying that you hate hugs."

"Me, hate hugs? No never, that to from you girls, impossible," Maan said ever so sugerly.

Sufiyan controlled his laughter. He loved seeing his friend in this state. Tied with an invisible thread, pretending to like someone whom he absolutely despises; all thanks to his parents!

Sufiyan mouthed, "Enjoy," and was about to leave.

"Don't you dare," Maan threatened.

"Don't I dare what?" Tanya asked, pausing on what ever she was talking about. Maan was too busy thinking of an excuse to get away from them that he was not paying attention to what he was suppose to listen to.

"No, not you," Maan covered, "I was telling that to my friend over here," pulling Sufiyan in besides him, "Girls, you have met Sufiyan right? He is my best friend. I spend all my free time with him, we are more like brothers. I share everything with him; he is such a nice pal. So ladies treat him right alright."

Sufiyan removed himself from Maan side hug and said, "Yeah well, that how all best friends are now aren't they?"

"Absolutely," Sanya agreed and Tanya nodded.

"Why don't you girls continue with your talk with Maan and I will go take care off -"

Maan interrupted, "Oh shit, sorry girls but we have one really important thing to take care off, so, excuse us for a moment."

Maan was about to push Sufiyan away with him while Sufiyan said, "No it's okay Maan, I will manage all by myself."

"No ways," Maan said glaring at Sufiyan who was totally enjoying the situation, "I just said you are my best friend, what is a guy who backs out on his pal and not help him. Come on let's go."

"I will soon rejoin you girls, alright?" Maan said to the twins and made a rescue.

Tanya and Sanya stood with their lips-sealed, not sure of what exactly happened.

Pari carefully walked to her right as the girls turned around from their left and rushed away behind the boys.

Sufiyan burst out laughing. Maan punched him.

"You idiot, you are having fun huh? Maan said, "Why am I even here? We don't even know what we are doing. I was better off home."

Sufiyan got back to normal and stated, "Yeah, you and your loneliness - it is so much better than to meet the girl whom you are starting have crush on."

Maan crossed his right arm around Sufiyan's throat and said, "I do not have crush on her."

Sufiyan said as he tried to free himself, "Yeah that is clearly seen by the way you argue with her every time you meet."

Maan gritted, "I don't, she argues. And I don't like her."

Sufiyan grinned, "Oh so, now it's not a crush but a like, what's next? Love, yeah that's definitely it."

Maan tightened his hold and Sufiyan coughed out. Maan said, "Shut up, as I said I don't..."

Sufiyan finally managed to free himself, "You don't what? Dude, stop lying to yourself. You like her already, and trust me she is soon going to be your love."
