Part 3:
"Nahi Maan, aap… kkyyaa?" she almost screamed at his words.
"I can explain Geet, please hear me out," he said tying the duvet on his hips and walking over to her.
"Maan, stop right there," she yelled angrily. "Are you trying to say all these days I have worried over you for no reason at all!" she screamed, hot tears streaming down her eyes.
Maan groaned, hating himself for making Geet through all this. He had originally meant to keep her away from him. To keep her safe, to see her happy was his priority and that's the reason he wanted her to stay away from him. But last night when she had willingly given herself to his needs, he couldn't help her keep her away from him anymore. He needed to have her beside or he would definitely go insane for sure. He thought it would easy to keep her away from him in the name of her security but her absence was agonizing him inside out. There is no way he would let anything happen to her but at the same time he couldn't allow her to stay away from him, especially after last night. He walked towards her, despite her warnings to not do so.
Geet was in state of complete shock and disbelief, unable to comprehend whether she wanted to be happy that indeed Maan hadn't forgotten her or that he had mercilessly lied about it to her. She felt hurt and betrayed by his behavior. And the pain was worse than his incessant tortures and abuses he had inflicted upon her. Maan had finally reached near her and was about to bring her closer to her when she roared, "Don't you dare touch me Mr. Maan Singh Khurana!" her pain evident in her voice.
"Geet please meri baat toh suno. I had a very good reason to do so," he tried to reason while reaching out for hand.
"Oh yeah? And what was that? To torture me, abuse me, and treat like a piece of dirt in front of everyone?" she snapped. How dare he treat her like nobody and now ask forgiveness for it! "You questioned my integrity. You doubted my," she began but stopped too ashamed to even utter the words he had instilled upon her few days ago when the video of their marriage was played by mistake. Her temper soared new heights at his guts to ill-treat her and now say all was for a reason? She looked away from in disgust, unable to digest the fact that her Maan, the man who had loved her to no bounds, the man who had vowed to keep her happiness before him, had mercilessly told he hand forgotten her. "I never knew I had married such a man like you Mr. Khurana," she spat.
"Geet, tum jo bhi kahogi, main kuch mana nahi karoonga. I deserve to rot in hell for the offenses I have told against you, magar main kya karti. I was scared. Scared to loose you," he said as tears rolled continuously from his eyes.
"Whatever Mr. Khurana I think its high time leave you. Har roz main tadap raha tha ki mera Maan ko aisa huwa aur Babaji se duwa karta tha ki ek pal ke liye meri yaad aayien. I was pining at least for a second you remember me so that I could die happy. Magar aap?" she said looking at him accusingly.
Her every word killed every little cell inside him. he fell on his knees, covering his face in shame, "Sorry Geet, sorry, please mujhe maaf kardo. Ek mauka doh to explain myself," he said sobbing.
"Explain?" she scoffed. "What's left to explain Mr. Khurana?" she asked dryly. "Oh wait wait, maybe you mujhe pata hai aapko kya explain karna hai. Yahi na ki aapko kitne khush mile mujhe tang karke?" she asked sarcastically.
"Nahi Geet, kabhi nahi," he denied vehemently. "Ek ek pal main mar mar ke jiya hoon Geet tumhe door karke," he said looking painfully.
"Mujhe nahi pata tha aapko itne acche se jhoot bolna aata. The Maan I knew hated lies. But you? You are not that Maan. Aap mere Maan nahi ho. Ab please hatiye, I need to leave," she said trying to maneuver around him.
He quickly caught her wrist and looked painfully at her, "Agar is baar mujhe tum chod ke gayi toh main sach mein mar jaaunga Geet," he said woefully.
Although she wanted to abhor the man kneeling in front of her for playing with her emotions and deny that she had any love left within her for him, she couldn't leave him in this state, pleading for his life. She badly wanted to deny he meant nothing to her and her heart stopped beating for him, only to be fooled the next second. He was her love, her life, he was her Maan, Geet ka Maan! Finding her lost voice she began, "First of all, mere haath chodiye. There is no reason for you to touch me. Aapko jo kehna jaldi kahiye, mujhe jaana hoga," she said coldly without turning her to face him.
"Fine Geet, just hear me out once aur uske baad tum jo sazaa dogi mujhe voh manzoor hai."
She crossed her arms but decided to face away from him; afraid she may give in to his sweet talks, only to be hurt severely later.
"I was scared Geet that I would lose you forever when I was kidnapped by Mummyji and her gang," he said softly, shuddering even at the thought of her at harm.
"I don't see the connection. Come on Maan hurry up. Mujhe aur bhi kaam hai," she snapped annoyed at his narration.
"I was arrogant that I could protect you by no means at any situation but when Mummyji kidnapped me to sign all the papers I knew you were at risk because the papers were in your name. I was terrified they would attack you next and my fears were confirmed when they did. Magar tumhare Babaji mein vishwaas aur tumhara pyaar hume bacha li. Magar that fear had gripped me even after the incident," he said tears steaming down his face.
The words slowly sunk into Geet and her expressions mellowed down and her hands slumped down. "He was scared for my life," she wondered, "if he did then why did he try to keep me away from him?" "Maan, aapka reasoning doesn't make sense. If at all you were scared to lose me, you should have kept me near to you, but on the other hand you literally shoved me away from you. So if you are done here, mujhe jaana hai," she said coldly.
Maan hurriedly got up and dashed towards her retreating figure and caught her wrist before she exited out. "Ek minute Geet, please?" he asked softly. She stood rooted to the place without any movement. He took it as her approval and continued, "I knew they would attack you if you hovered around me. I couldn't afford to lose you Mishti, so I figured the best shot was to keep you away from me to keep you safe. So I got the papers transferred back in my name and keep you away from me. A decision I repented every second of my life. You were too precious to me Geet and the thought of you in the hands of those scumbags killed me a thousand deaths," he said finally breaking down.
Geet suddenly looked up at his confession unable to fathom his words. She knew she had fallen in love with a man who wouldn't think twice before fulfilling her wishes but she didn't know she had fallen in love with a man who put her happiness before his and was ready to keep her away from him just to keep her safe. Big tears formed in eyes even at the thought of what he would have gone through, fearing for her life. He was so protective that he had taken extreme measures when she had just mentioned she felt someone in her room when she was in the outhouse. But to keep her away from him to keep her safe was something she couldn't digest. Could a man love her so much that he would sacrifice his love just to keep her safe? She turned towards him, crying, her lips trembling. She kneeled before him and cupped his face lovingly. He was sobbing continuously and refused to face her, guilty of his actions. "Maan," she said softly, trying to make him look at her.
He instantly hugged her, "Mujhe aur nahi hota Geet. I cannot possibly stay away from you. Please mujhe chod ke mat jao. Tum jo sazaa dogi voh mujhe manzoor hai magar yeh dooriyan nahi," he managed to say in between his sobs.
"Maan aap sudhar jayiye please," she said rubbing his back soothingly. Seeing him continue to shed tears, "Shh main yahaan hi hoon. Main kaheen nahi jaanewali. Please Maan, calm down." She cupped his face and pulled him out of the embrace to make him look at her. Instead he simply lay on her chest, his hands wound around her neck. She rocked him gently back and forth, calming him and soothing him. They lay silently in that position for long, trying to soothe and calm each other.
Finally Maan sniffed back his tears and looked up to Geet, "Geet mujhe pata hai, main maafi ke liye bhi na layak hoon magar phir bhi tumhare Maan ko vapas laogi tumhari zindagi main?" he asked with hope.
She smiled weakly at his question and nodded her head slightly, "Haan, magar ek shart par," she offered.
"Whatever you say baby," he said looking at her earnestly.
"Promise me if in the future, agar aisi hi haalath aaya toh aap mujhse se kabhi door nahi bejoge. I am safest in your arms Maan. Agar aapne bhejne ki koshish bhi ki na main sach mein itni door chali jaaugi ki aap mujhse kabhi nahi mil sakein, " she warned hitting his chest, fresh tears filling up in her eyes.
"Kabhi nahi. Meri jaan bhi chali toh nahi bhejungi," he said tightly hugging her and smiling through his tears.
"Maan!" she screamed whacking his shoulder lightly. "Aap baar baar aapki jaan ko kyun khatre mein dalte ho. Aapki jaan mujhme basti hai, samjhi aap?" she warned. He simply nodded.
Maan felt finally at peace for letting out his worst fears. The guilt of keeping her away from him was killing him from the inside every second. She was his Geet, his love, his life, Maan ki Geet! Yet the thought of her in danger had made him shudder and decide to keep her away from him. Although the thought of keeping her away in the name of her safety sounded very simple, the practicality of it was much harder than he thought. Each and every second, it had pricked his heart when he shouted and yelled at her over silly things. He hoped she might go away from him to a safer place but inspite of his arrogant and rude behavior she stuck to him. Every night he had gone to bed crying at her absence beside him but the thought of her in danger prevented him from running back to her. But he could do no more of it; keeping her away from him was near to impossible and he after she had willingly gave herself upto him even after all the animalistic behavior, he knew it was high time he tell her the truth.
Maan thanked his stars silently for allowing him into Geet's life again and captured her lips. Geet willingly let him kiss her while he softly began to invade her. The kiss began to reassure himself of her presence in his life. Her response soothed him and calmed his nerves. The slow invasion began to deepen, as it turned more passionate and demanding. Her tongue played a sensuous game with his while she aggressively nibbled and bit his lower lips. He groaned in pleasure and grunted against her. He hugged her closer to him and made him sit on his lap while her hands automatically wound around his neck and pulled his head down, bringing him more closer to her. She finally broke off the kiss, panting. She placed a wet kiss on his lips and looked at him lovingly, cupping his face.
"Vaise Maan, aapse kuch poochna tha," Geet said coming off his embrace. "How did you manage to get the papers signed by me to transfer it back in your name?" she asked curiously.
Maan chuckled at her questioning; it was Geet Maan Khurana afterall! "I have my sources you know, I'm Maan Singh Khurana," he said winking at her.
"Oi hello Mr. Khurana I need to know what you are doing with my company. Ek minute did u, did u forge my signature?" she asked with her eyes widened.
"Chi chi Babaji! You have doubted Maan Singh Khurana?" he asked shocked.
"Haan, when it comes to my company I shall doubt everyone," she said looking sternly.
"Accha tumhare pati ko bhi shaq karogi kya?" he asked smiling.
"Main aapse nahi, us DD, Mr. Khurana ko kaha," she said making a disgusting face.
"You mean dusht danav?" he asked feigning anger.
"Nahi, I mean dhak dhak," she said looking dreamily. "Hai kitna sona munda hai, isiliye toh shaq karni padegi," she said gleefully.
"Kya? Tumne kya kaha?"
"Haan Maan, aapne kabhi mera boss ko dekha hai. Hai Babaji," she said looking above and giving a flying kiss, as though she was kissing someone.
Maan instantly grabbed her and jerked her closer to him before conquering her lips. "Abhi dekhti hoon, kaun sona hai," he said in between his kisses. His hands traveled to open his shirt she was wearing when she abruptly got off the kiss and stopped him.
"
Maan! Ek minute aapko ek aur zaroori baat kehni hai," she said burying in his chest. But before he could even ask her what it was, she interrupted him, "
Actually on second thoughts let that wait because a huge punishment awaits you Mr. Maan Singh Khurana!" she announced before pouncing on him like a tigress rooting for her prey.
