PART 8

Another Movie Date

Was he loosing his touch? Each night he slept beside a desirable woman and 'sleep' was all he did! He woke up each morning with her scent on his waking hours, but that was it nothing happened!! Maan Singh Khurana spend every night with a woman and that too who was his wife and nothing happened!!! The past nights were taking its toll on him, he became so distracted and edgy...he couldn't stop thinking of those brief moments of madness that first morning.

Though Maan had kept to his side of the bed, he was very conscious of the woman who was lying close to him. That awareness had lengthened the wait for the sleep. It had taken all his self-control to lie still, to take slow deep breaths in the manner of sleep in the darkness of the bedroom her slight movements seemed so loud, holding his attention on her. her anklet or bangles tingled each time she moved, and that happened a long time, like she too was finding it difficult to sleep. He too fell asleep after along while listening to her deepened rhythm of breath. His dreams turned hot, as he dreamed of a temptress with chocolate eyes, which melted with desire as she walked towards him. There was an invitation in her enticing smile. Standing on tip toe she whispered near his lips, "Kiss me, Maan"

She brushed her lips against his, then nibbled on his lower lip, stealing his breath. Unable to resist he took over, his mouth capturing hers. His tongue stroked against the seam of her lips seeking entrance. Her hands wound around his neck, her fingers threading thru his hair. His arms circling her waist tightened to crush her against the hardness of his chest, molding her strongly to the hard length of him. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she strained closer, wanting to belong to him completely. Then they were lying down on the bed. His lips slid down her cheek to nuzzle her neck. She moved restlessly caressing his chest, her legs tangling with his. His hand slid beneath her top to inch forward until it rested on the bare skin of her ribcage and his thumb brushed against the swell of her breast. She moaned "Maan" as his hand edged up to cup her breast.

He opened his eyes and found her snuggled up to him, and his hands cupping her breast. Was it the sudden stillness that awakened her? He could never forget the sweet sensuous curve of her lips as she caressed his cheeks to whisper, "I love you Maan."

Then realization dawned and she let her hand drop. The longing in her eyes were so fierce that he was pulled by it. But she disengaged herself with a muttered, "sorry" and dashed off to the restroom. It was definitely a sob that he heard before the door closed. Yet when she faced him again she was back to her old self, as if those passionate moments didn't happen. No she did talk about it...what was it?

"Sorry, I didn't mean to embarrass you (!!) It seems our body still consider the other's as its partner. Mine any way think of yours as my Maan's. I wont torment you with these early morning fantasies in future."

And did it irk him? How he preferred the early sad version of Geet to this smart mouthed one!

But from then on she made sure that she would have left the bed by the time he woke up. But that didn't mean that her presence didn't torture his waking moments, for the bed beside him would still be warm from her body heat, his shoulder would still have the lemony fragrance of her shampoo on it. The desire to pay her back for the torment he was being put forth started to form in his mind. If it meant he was being mean spirited so be it...if he can put a dent in her perfect poise if only by embarrassing her he would enjoy it. As per her 'at least two evenings together a week' wish they were going to watch a movie again, this time his choice. He had cribbed about her movie choice and she had graciously let him choose...her mistake! He smirked.

Relaxing back in his seat, he observed Geet who was busy trying to like the fast paced movie. He waited for the moment when the real action was to start and her reaction to it. He had purposely delayed the time reaching the cinema hall because he didn't want Geet alerted beforehand. So she had no idea what kind of movie they were to watch. The last time she had complained about watching in premium class, because she couldn't enjoy the reaction of the other audience...so he had booked balcony tickets, and t just to safe guard his privacy, he booked the seats of the whole five rows. He couldn't wait for the reaction to start!!

She was thru half the popcorn before the much awaited entertainment began, he could see that she didn't mind the kiss between the actors. The popcorn flew out of the carton as her hand tightened on it in shock as the lead started to shed their clothes. She cast him a furtive glance. As the scene started to steam up, she looked around as if she preferred to look anywhere but the screen. But some of the couples were actively enjoying the movie...adding in their contribution in steaming up the movie hall. That made her to draw in a breath in shock. He laughed inwardly when he saw her finally close her eyes. Her hands gripped the handle of the seat tightly, the popcorn carton lying forgotten in her lap. He just couldn't resist rubbing it in...

"What happened Geet? Why are you sitting with eyes closed? Didn't you like the movie?" he whispered against her ear. She shook her head.He leaned closer to take a few pop corns from her lap, deliberately touching her legs in his attempt. Her eyes flew open with a gasp.

He continued innocently, "You know Geet I just love this actress. She is so good and has a figure to fill your fantasies...and her acting is so natural. You forget yourself looking at her and my hand itch to touch her open..."

"Oh Babaji! Chi Maan..." Geet closed both her ears with her hands.

"I just wanted to say her open hair, did you think I meant something else?" he smirked. "But you have to say this Geet, we do not suit perfectly as you like to say others claim. I like to watch such movies."

Geet narrowed her eyes as she looked at him.It seemed 'her husband who didn't want to be her husband' was deliberately trying to upset her. The why she will figure out fast enough, but now for his answer...

"It's true I didn't know you enjoyed watching such movies...was that why you tried to avoid going to movies with me earlier...doesn't matter if this is what you like, I don't have any objection watching it with you!"

"Really?"

"Really. Now don't distract me...or I wont be able to follow what they are saying...as they are still whispering." Maan wondered if she was calling his bluff. In his attempt to make her cringe, he had to endure the whole movie and that too with her whispered comments.

"Maan, I never knew we could do it this way!" Making him wonder how else they did it!

" Oh! What a wonderful idea, making love under open air...Maan we were always fond of the shower or the gym!" Now will he ever enter one without her words ringing in his ears...

" I never imagined chocolate could be put to such wonderful use too...I've always loved chocolate." He will never buy chocolates, he swore to himself.

Even then never in his life would he have imagined Geet thanking him for the movie as she claimed, "It was very informative."

Now taking that nightly swim, he swore at himself for his so called brilliant idea of trying to put Geet in a delicate position...he had expected that she would become embarrassed and demand that they leave the theatre immediately...but he had to admit the woman had guts...but how was he ever going to share the bed with her tonight with the images of the movie still playing upon his mind? Even swimming those extra laps did not seem to help him relax...his mind still wandered to the woman who was his wife. May be he should take a cold shower, he calculated as he moved to the bedroom.

There she was wearing a night dress...a night dress! His mind exploded. Didn't she always wear those modest, sweet polka dot salwars to bed? He wanted to demand that she change into one of those immediately, instead of this soft looking clingy one. She noticed him staring and said sweetly, " It's so hot today na, Maan? May be because we spent the evening in Cinema hall." She sat on the bed and continued to talk almost as if to herself, "Do they actually do those scenes together? When I was a kid I used to think it was all camera trick...no wonder there are so many affairs..."she removed her wrap to put it on the edge of the bed, showing off her silky smooth shoulders.

Controlling his audible gasp, Maan said, " I need to work on the final drawing of Mr. Mohit's project...I 'll think I will put in a few hours on that."

"Oh! Shall I help you Maan?" Geet rose as if about to go with him to the office.

"No!" if his voice was loud in his panic , he cudn't help it. "No. I'll manage."

"Just let me know if you need me, okay Maan?"

"All right" Maan made a hasty retreat.

"Good night, Maan" she called after him.

"Good night!"

"Oh! sorry i wished my Maan" she said pointing to the photo."you are going to work, na?"

"My maan! This woman will make me daft!" he muttered as he moved away.
