Dreams
part 15

Her face alluringly glowing gracefully, she stood there watching him feeling shy. She looked so heavenly like a moon spreading its effulgence in the darkness. His heart paced restlessly. He stood mesmerized, taking in her beauty. With every step she took looking down & then at him his heart only pounded rapidly. How he wished there was no distance between them. Seeing him looking at her like that she blushed. How could he miss that pink shade on her cheeks. His heart swells in pride with the realization she was his only his. She lowers her eyes shyly and then lifting them again traces it back to him. He came closer to her & took her hand in his, as she was elegantly managing her saree.. it was so evident to him probably only him .. that she had worn it for the first time. Wat amused him the most is how she carried it so well even then.

He carefully walked her to the main hall. She walked in at ease .. the whole media pounced at them, she smiled & walked forward as their body guards moved them away. For any first timer would startle a bit or curdle up. But she maintained her pace giving him the room to answer them. Her eyes didn't wander neither did it looked scared. They looked confident & humble. She looked at him proudly now & them boosting his confidence. She silently spoke to the baby like she was showing it the world, its dad. He smiled at her cuteness that was only obvious to his eyes oblivious of the jealous pair of eyes that awaited for them.

Simran was restless looking at the closeness they shared. She couldn't stand seeing him so much in love with some one else. Though she was the person who wanted to end this relationship. Maan 's hand stiffened around Geet when his eyes met Simrans. Especially he knew how much she was possessive abt him.

His tense posture & uncomfortableness Geet could sense it immediately she looked at him & then followed his gaze without doubt she knew that was Simran. She dipped her head & decided to leave them alone to talk. She knew very well that after that night probably Maan was confronting her for the first time. Maan narrowed his look on simran, he hated the dress she wore just above her knees. He gave a disapproving look. Like she cared .. she irritated him more choosing to dance randomly with another guy. He looked away in anger. He walked to the bar to grab himself a drink. Geet silently watched him. She was getting little scared when he ordered a drink. She shot a quick prayer...babaji rahem karo. Maan instantly looked at her getting scared & closed his eyes calming himself. He changed his order to 2 soft drinks. He took the drink & gave her one. She smiled weakly.
Nahi pee main ne
he whispered softly in her ears
she closed her eyes & blushed furiously.

Soon Maan was surrounded with friends & business associates. Geet sipped her drink & stroked her stomach lovingly. Simran walked towards her with couple of her friends. Geet smiled weakly.
Simran meanly introduced Geet as Maan's wife.
The ladies where very impressed & praised her a lot.
They where all floored by her elegance.
Simran teased ' u should be thankful to me gawn ki chori
all the ladies looked a Geet in amusement .. is she really from a village
simran ' yeh chamk dhamk sab uppari hain, in reality she is gawaner, illiterate.
Geet restored ' no I am not illiterate
simran ' not bad ..Maan taught u English too
Geet didn't want to be part of all this. Simran pulled her hand & got her back ..
why don't u read this for us.
Geet got really scared when she looked at the paper.. her hand was shivering. She didn't want to jeopardize his prestige.. but she was.. she didn't know a word of hindi & the whole page was in Hindi. Tears rolled down her eyes.
Maan saw her & fumbling with paper & marched angrily to her. He pulled her to the corner..
kyun aapna tamsha bana rahi ho
she looked down nervously. Tumhe padna nahi aata tho nahi aata.. wat is the problem.. why r u lieing. Mujhe tumse koi problem nahi .. then why all this.
He was really irritated with all the mean looks that surrounded her.
He tightened his grip around her arm.. she flinched in pain.
I didn't expect u to be a show off like them.
Simran came from behind clapping..- this is exactly why I didn't want to marry u
it was like a tight slap on his face.
He felt like the whole ground was washed off under his foot.
Simran ' u just need a wife to flash around, u don't respect her, her individuality.. her dignity.
Maan was still under shock.
Simran ' yes I loved u madly ..but it was suffocating..around u
Geet couldn't take it anymore.. she wondered if it hurt her so much then..maan will be shattered
Simran ' u should be thankful to me, that I trapped u both in that place that day. see she is such a perfect match for u.
Maan broke the glass that was in his hand. Geet cried in pain. She was polite person.. but today she lost all the patience she had.. she swung her hand & slapped her. This girls one mistake & she lost everything...

Simran wanted to slap her back but her parents came running & took her away. dehka aagyen na aapne aukat pe.. gawaner..mannerless she screamed as she was dragged out from the scene

Maan shot an agonized look to Geet. She did know the anger was because of the betrayal. He grabbed her hand & tried to walk away.. when the spot light fell on them while crossing the hall he turned her angrily & spun her around.. dancing furiously to the music that followed.
