Part 8

Ridhima was shocked to see Armaan

"Armaan leave my hand"

"Ridhima"

Before Armaan can say anything Ridhima let go of his hand

"Armaan I don't want to talk to you"

Ridhima walked on and Armaan followed just then an announcement was made Dr Armaan Malik to Cardiac ward

"Ridhima please listen to me just once please"

"No Armaan I don't want to listen to you"

Ridhima went to the car park Armaan went outside as well just then Nurse Joy came outside

"Dr Malik didn't you hear the announcement you need to go to the cardiac ward"

Armaan went to resume his duties

Now we see Ridhima in Gupta House

"Ridhima Beta how was your first day"

"Mama it was excellent I loved the hospital everything its perfect you know our supervisor Dr White she's really nice"

"That's really good your Papa is on night duty today an emergency case came, Prem and Heer are still in hospital too, so beta did you talk to Maan what did he say?"

"Mama, I talked to Maan I told him the truth and he agreed he still wants to marry me, so you can tell his parents it's a yes"

Padma was very happy

"I will make you food first then I will ring them and tell them you said yes, I'm very happy beta are you sure about all this"

"Jee Mama I'm sure don't worry"

"Ok Beta"

Padma hugged Ridhima

After 1 hour Shazy came back from shopping

"Mama, Di I bought so many clothes today met all my mates had a nice time"

"Beta you want some food"

"No Mama we had Nandos"

"Shazy beta we have some good news Ridhima will be getting engaged soon"

Shazy was very happy

"Di, I'm so happy I told you jiju wouldn't back out he's a nice person, omg can't wait for the wedding"

"Shazy don't be too excited first engagement hogi shaadi toh baad mein hoghi"

Padma and Shazy carried on talking about the engagement and wedding, Ridhima wasn't interested at all

"Mama, Shazy you want some hot chocolate"

"Ok"

Ridhima went to make hot chocolate

"Shazy beta Ridhima doesn't seem very happy she's smiling and laughing but I think something is bothering her"

"Mama I will ask Di don't worry"

"Ask Di what here's your hot chocolate Shazy, Mama"

"Thanks Di"

"Thanks Beta"

"Di, Mama was saying that she thinks that something is bothering you"

"Mama, Shazy please don't worry I'm fine how's the hot chocolate"

"It's yummy Di"

"Beta it's very nice"

"Di we know that don't get too happy you know Jiju he can make food and all this, so you got competition, as soon as you get married I'm moving in with you and Jiju"

Ridhima laughed

"Shazy don't worry I'm taking you with me"

"I don't think so beta ek hi beti donghi uneh doh nahiye by the Shazy beta Maan ka ek chota bhai be hai"

"That's great Mama jiju keh bhai ko pehele dekhna paregha shaadi mein milonghi"

"Acha beta milenah, Ishaan ko bhi phone karnah hai he needs to be here for the engagement"

"Mama, he's got his exams I'm in no hurry engagement baad mein bhi ho sakthi hai"

"Beta Urmila behenji was saying she wants you both too get engaged soon she was suggesting next month, I told her I will ask you and your Dad and let her know, it's up to you beta"

"Di you have to get engaged you know I need to go shopping"

"Shazy you just been shopping Mama I think I need more time"

"Di come on I meant asian clothes I want a designer sari lengha for the engagement it has to be blue"

"Beta take your time we don't want to pressurize you lekin ek baat hai tumneh haan ki hain we need to give them answers too"

"Mama I will let you know aap Papa seh baat karleh pehele dekhe woh kya kehthe hai phir dekenghe"

"Acha beta"

Just then the phone rang Shazy went to answer it

"Hello"

No one spoke

"HELLO IS ANYONE GOING TO TALK"

Shazy disconnected the phone

"Di don't know who it is no one's talking by the way Di do you want to watch a movie"

"Not today Shazy I got work tomorrow I'm sure you got Uni tomorrow"

"I got Uni in the afternoon, Ok Di we watch a movie on the weekend don't tell me you're at work on the weekend"

"Yes I'm a intern don't have any days off Shazy but don't worry well watch something on the weekend when I get back from work"

"Beta tum dono baatien karoh I'm going in the kitchen I just remembered your Papa wanted gajar ka halwa I will go and make it"

"Mama shall I help you"

"Nahiye beta tum araam karoh I will make it"

Padma went in the kitchen Shazy and Ridhima were talking in the living room, the phone rang again Shazy was about to answer it but Ridhima got up and answered it

"Hello"

"Hello Ridhima please don't put the phone down I need to talk to you please"

It was Armaan

"I'm sorry Mr John don't live here wrong number"

She disconnected the phone

Armaan was very angry

Just then Nikki came

Armaan and Nikki were on their break

"Armaan did you talk to her"

"I saw her today she didn't even talk to me I rang her now she didn't talk to me she said wrong number and disconnected the phone, I don't know what to do"

"Armaan don't worry we will think of something everything will be fine"

"I don't think it will Nikki the way she looked at me today it was horrible, she didn't even let me talk I wanted to tell her everything"

"Armaan you need to tell her once you do it will change her opinion"

"I don't know but I need to tell her she has to listen to what I have to say"

After 10 minutes an announcement was made all the interns had to report to the hall

"Interns I know it's quite late only 1 hour left for your duty to finish I just wanted to say all of you are doing a great job so far, I wanted to say next month 2 of you will get an opportunity to assist me and 2 other doctors in a surgery, all of you have to work hard end of the month I will announce who gets to assist us in the surgery, so I would like to say good luck"

All the interns were really happy

"Ok everyone get back to work"

Meanwhile we see Ridhima in her room pacing she was crying, just then Shazy knocked on the door

"Come in" (she quickly wiped her tears)

"Di, I can't sleep can I sit here for a while"

"Yeah Shazy come sit down"

"Di why are your eyes red you been crying (Ridhima started crying more) omg Di what happened please stop crying"

Ridhima hugged Shazy

"Shazy I don't know what to do I agreed myself to marry Maan I told him the whole truth, I feel better it's like there is no burden on me you know that I hided stuff from him and all, I told him I can't live up to his expectations and all he still said he wants to marry me, I didn't say anything I think I was expecting him to say no and he didn't say no I was speechless I had nothing to say so I walked off, you know when I was finishing my duty I was going towards the exit I saw Armaan he grabbed my hand he wanted to talk to me"

"WHAT!!! DI!!! Why is he back for? So he's working in the same hospital as you"

"Yeah he's working in the same hospital he's in group B they have different shifts, I'm over him I know I am I have no feelings for him left inside me, he doesn't affect me I didn't talk him I told him I didn't want to talk to him, he rang before and I said wrong number and cut the phone, Shazy I don't want to go in the past and all I want to go ahead and be in the present I'm a strong person sometime it really get's to me"

Riddhima was really upset Shazy tried to console her and give advice

"Look Di you said your over that idiot so it shouldn't affect you let him talk be in the hospital, you just look forward to your present and future not the past Di you went through a lot and I can't see you in pain, just leave it Di you don't need to listen to him you do your internship and work hard, Di to be honest if you don't want to get married just say it don't marry Maan if you're going to suffocate all your life it's no point, Mama and Papa will understand don't worry I promise you Di they won't say anything and I will shut my mouth as well regarding your wedding, please Di don't suffocate yourself tell us we are all here for you"

"I know Shazy it's horrible seeing someone from your past you know you don't have any feelings left for them, but still their present affects you coz they won't leave you alone, I seriously don't want to know anything I'm not interested, I just want to do my internship peacefully"

"I know Di just don't let anyone affect you everything will be ok, Di think about the marriage issue if you think you can't give 100% to the relationship don't get married no point ruining the other person's life"

"I know your right I'm going to think about it properly thanks Shazy I feel better talking to you, go to sleep now I'm going to go sleep too"

"Ok Di goodnight"

"Goodnight"

Shazy went to her room and Ridhima went to sleep

The story goes 1 week ahead next day we see everyone on the breakfast table in Gupta House

"Ridhima Beta how you getting on in hospital"

"Its really good Papa I'm enjoying it"

"That's good Beta I start late today so will be going hospital at 1pm wat about you?"

"Papa I start at 10am I'm going now I wanted to do an extra shift although I'm on night duty"

"Beta you didn't even eat your breakfast properly"

"No Mama I'm full"

Ridhima leaves

Now we see Ridhima in the hospital canteen with Muskaan

"Ridz you know I didn't even have breakfast today woke up late and then had to run to hospital so I'm having breakfast in hospital do you want some coffee?"

"No I'm fine Muskaan"

"What's wrong you're very quiet today? Is something bothering you?"

"No Muskaan I'm ok I was just thinking about everything Mama Papa fixed my rishtha, I said yes now I'm just thinking about it I don't think I can give 100% to this relationship the guy they have chosen he's a senior doctor here, he's a really person he doesn't deserve someone like me who won't ever love him, he still wants to marry me"

"Ridz he seems nice he genuinely likes you that's why he wants to marry you, don't worry things will get better take a few days to make your mind up"

"Yeah, I'm going to think about it most probably will say yes I don't want to disappoint my parents, I'm going to get to know Maan"

"Omg is that Dr Maan Singh Khurana"

"Yeah how do you know him?"

Meanwhile we see Armaan in hospital the whole week he tried to talk to Ridhima but she wouldn't listen to him, now we see Armaan in the canteen he saw Ridhima and Muskaan, he wanted to talk to Ridhima so he went up to her.

"Ridhima I don't want to cause a scene I want to talk to you please just once listen to me, I been trying to talk to you now since 1 week"

Ridhima got up and walked towards the exit Armaan grabbed her hand

"Look Ridhima I just want to talk to you please listen to me"

"Armaan please leave me alone I beg you I don't want to know I have moved on in my life and I'm not interested in anything you say so please leave me alone"

"Ridhima you can't (interrupted)

"Good Morning Dr Ridhima, Dr Armaan"

Maan had come

"Good Morning Dr Maan"

"Dr Armaan your early today I'm sure your shift starts at 2pm"

"I wanted to do an extra shift"

"Oh k that's good make sure you report to Dr White with Group A, Ridhima you can take Armaan with you show him around"

"Ok"

"That's great I will meet you for Lunch at 1 I need to talk to you about something important"

"Ok Maan I will see you at 1 I gotta go now gta make a phonecall"

Ridhima quickly excused herself and went outside and Muskaan followed her

"Armaan your duty don't begin till 10am sit down have some coffee"

"Ok, Dr Maan if you don't mind me asking how do you know Ridhima"

"She's going to be my fianc we are getting engaged soon"

Armaan was shocked

Yeah you will know in the next part about Armaan and Ridhimas past it's going to be a long part it should give you lot a clear picture...
