Chapter XXIII
Piya left Kabir and panchi and went on the other side of the drinks corner. She ordered tequila to ease herself down. She wasn't a drinker but now she couldn't take it anymore. She ordered one…. Two… three…. Four…. Five…. Six times and would haven't stopped if jay hadn't called her. She quickly collected herself and went out in the garden to take the call.
Phone conversation
Piya: hey…. Jay….
Jay: hullo…. Princess…. Missing me?
Piya: a lot…. When are you coming…? How is Aunt Martha?
Jay: soon…. Maybe after a week or two…. And auntie is totally fine….
Piya: that's great….
Jay: so…. How's life going on…? I know you must have got lots of bfs nah…?
Piya was breaking down: no…. you know I am not into all this….
Jay: okay…. Achcha tell me…. Is there any boy who is special to you….?
Piya: no…. only one boy is there…. Abhay…. but he loves someone else….
Jay: so let it be…. My princess will surely get someone else who loves only her….
Piya broke: but I love….
Jay: what….?
Piya realized that she gave up the truth: no….nothing…. just…. Can we talk some other day? It's getting late…. I have to go….
She quickly disconnected the phone. Tears had made their way from her chocolate browns and she broke down in the garden with a thud on the floor. She might look fierce and strong from outside but she was hollow and empty inside.
Piya: I love abhay….. Jay…... I love abhay… bas dukh toh iss baat ka hai ki who mujhse pyaar nahi karta…
T had come outside the party hall as she was angry that how could a charity case get so popularity. She listened everything. T went near piya and slowly tapped her shoulder from back. Piya got startled and abruptly turned back.
T: kya hua charity case? Itni popularity ki aadat nahi hai? Roh kyon rahi ho? Bechari piya abhay se pyaar karti hain…. But oops…. Abhay toh Kisi aur se pyaar karta hai…. Pata hai kya tum small town girls' ki yahi problem hai…. Tumse koyi acche se do sabd kya bole…. Tumhe lagta hai ki tumhe pyaar ho gayaa aur abhay ke itne burre din nahi aaye hain ki woh tumse pyaar karre…. Freak…. Tumhe bas attention chahiye….. Poor attention seeker….
Piya: you know what t…. just leave….
T: yeah…. I am also not interested in you…. Poor charity case…. Miss… ugly duckling….
T went back and piya got up and started walking towards the jungle which leads to a cliff. She was quite drunk and was totally out of her mind. She was giggling, crying, sobbing and shrieking in pain. The distance she covered didn't matter to her, she wasn't tired but was helpless. Finally she reached to the cliff and sat on the rock for some time. She kept quiet and neither giggled nor sobbed but tears were just flowing from her eyes.
Piya: t…. sahi kahti hai…. I am disgusting…. How can anyone love me…. I only want attention but not anymore…. Now it's time…. I just don't want anything….
She stood and came near the edge of the cliff facing her back towards it. Heavy and fast-flowing River was down the cliff which was very deep. Heavy wind was blowing which made her dark brown curly hairs and her angelic green gown fly. The surrounding was so perfect to DIE…. The cliff could easily take her burden and dying this way wasn't even painful…. Now life was more painful then death…. If death would engulf her then she would not have to face anyone, no fight for survival, neither any one to claim her love nor any confrontation…. This was so peaceful…. DEATH….
Piya closed her swollen eyes and released herself to let death engulf her. She let her petite dainty figure to dive in the folds of death so to ease herself.
But was this so simple? How could it be? Even death wasn't ready to take her; the nature wasn't happy and could never let her go so easily. Before death could even touch her, her soft hands were caught by her knight in shining armor. Abhay had caught her hand and piya was still leaning towards the cliff with her back facing it. Her eyes were still shut and she didn't respond.
Piya was totally drunk so she thought that she has died. She slowly opened her eyes to see how it looks after dying. Was she in heaven? But to her surprise, she saw the face she loved but didn't want to look at now. Her eyes became large with shock that how can this be possible. For a second she just stared then suddenly broke into laughter.
Piya: waah…. Abb toh marne…. Marne ke baad bhi peecha nahi chutaa…. Abb kahan jaaun… one second…. Main maari bhi hoon yaa nahi…. Koyi chot toh lagi nahi…. Abhay tum mujhe bachane aaye ho?
Abhay was smiling at her innocence but he was feeling now it was dangerous for her here. She was still on the edge.
Piya: abhay tum…. Tum yahaan sachme ho yaa main sirf imagine kar rahi hoon? Tum really abhay ho….nah? Abhay tum aa Gaye?
Abhay: aata kaise nahi…. Aur haan…. Tum abhi zinda ho miss. Drunk….
Piya: oh… shit….
Abhay: I want to say something….
Piya: abb kya?
Abhay: I love…. I love you piya…. Abb tak Jo kuch bhi Maine tum ko kaha who sab jhooth hai par now I want to tell you that I really love you….
Piya: kya? Liar…. I don't love…
But before piya could say anything, she felt a cold gentle yet passionate kiss over her lips. She felt a sudden jolt of current down her spine and her knees didn't support her anymore. She was standing by abhay's support. Firstly she didn't respond but after sometime, she lost her control and rose up and gave in. Piya quickly removed the distance between them and hugged him. She was crying and sobbing. Both of them played lots of games with each other but now they could not hold this hide and seek anymore. Moon was shining even more, the heavy wind turned to a cool soothing breeze and the whole nature was happy now for the two soul mates who were standing with their bodies entwined with each other. As they stood there for long, they didn't know that someone was watching them from far but was happy for them. Yes, Siddhartha was happy for them as he could find something good in his new phase of life. He was not happy with him being a vampire but after finding so many aspects of his new life after keeping a close eye on abhay–piya, he could fine traces to love this life also.
Abhay felt a vampire presence so he thought to leave but saw that piya had already dozed off. He saw that piya was turning cold so he took out his jacket and wrapped it around her and picked her up in his strong arms and rushed towards the raichand mansion.
Chand and Haseena were out for some work for the whole night and aleena had decided to stay at dobriyal mansion to find about sugandh and Arnab so that they could find more about the vampire slayer and piya's mother's connection.
Abhay took piya to his room and placed her on his bed gently. He pulled the blanket over her.
Piya was still muttering something in her sleep: I hate you…. Abhay….. I hate you but ….. But I love…. Love you….
Abhay was smiling over piya's murmurings and he went to change. After changing into his black vest and lowers, he went to aleena's room to bring some comfortable clothes for piya and went to kitchen to bring some food as he knew that piya hadn't ate properly since morning. After bring everything, he gently woke up piya who was still half in her sleep and took her to the bathroom and asked her to change. After piya came out, he fed piya and made her sleep and he sat beside her watching his angel in slumber who was blessed to him to fill light in his dark life.
Abhay (while caressing piya's curly hairs): I know I hurt you a lot but I swear I will not play any hide and seek any more. I will try to fill every void in your life with happiness because I love you piya…..
Moonlight was falling over the both soul mates who were happy in their little bubble but till when…..

So finally abhay piya are together…. Siddhartha is good…. But is he really going to help abhay piya or create problems for them….. T is a catalyst…. I love her for that….. And now jay is coming after a week or two……
