Part 8-

Maan closed his eyes in frustration'.what had he just witnessed?

His Geet someone else's wife?

He couldn't imagine this'so that night?

His heart was about to explode'he needed answers and he needed them now but the question was HOW?He knew Geet wouldn't tell him anything'.then his thoughts went to the girl'she was so angelic'he had felt a connection with her'but how could it be if she was Geet and Yash's daughter?But somewhere deep down the girl felt very familiar to him'.

Geet laid her head on the pillow...Maan's words playing in her mind'hatred burning inside her'How could he think so low of her?

She had been with the man for 16 Goddamn years but it turned out he still didn't know her?

If he had he wouldn't have said those words'her heart ached in pain when she remembered those words'.

**Flashback**

M-GET OUT RIGHT NOW I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE!!!

G-Maan meri baat to suno'.its not what it seems like'.

He held her hand in front of her motioning her to stop and screamed:'BAAS CHUP'

M-MUJHE KUCH NAHI SUNNA I HAVE SEEN WHAT I SHOULD HAVE'.WE HAVE NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT'.JUST GET THE HECK OUT!!

He laughed'.and said tauntingly:'Love'.yes I can see how much you love me?'

M-Geet JUST GET OUT OF HERE'WE ARE OVER'

G-Maan how can you not trust me?

M-After seeing all this who would?

Tears streamed down her eyes'she was shocked to no ends'what kind of sick joke was fate playing on her?

Here he was standing the man she loved to no extents'whom she believed trusted her like a blind man yet here he stood questioning her love?

The man who had promised her all the happiness was the one giving her pain?

The one who had wiped her tears was now the sole reason of them?

How had life taken such a cruel turn?

She had been cocooned in love one second'.but the very next she was drenched in the storm of hatred?

She stood there numb before mustering all the courage and self respect she had and saying the words that tore her heart as they came out

G-THEEK HAI MR.MAAN SINGH KHURANA YOU HAVE DOUBTED MY LOVE?MY CHARACTER?

She walked out of there'hoping he would call her'would make an attempt to stop her'.hoping he would call out her name with the voice filled with love'but it never happened'she didn't look back as her ego didn't permit her'.and that's how it happened she left the man she had loved and knew she will always love while taking with her''THEIR CHILD''.

**Flashback ends**

She looked at her daughters face who was at moment sleeping peacefully'and seeing her peaceful face Geet smiled'but a knock on her door bought her out of it'.she looked at the door and saw Yash standing there'.smiling at them'.

G-Come in'.

Y-You love her a lot right?

G-Yes she is my life'

Y-Why did you lie?

Her face darkened she didn't want to answer his question so she just told him to go wait for her in the living room'she would come'he nodded'so tucking riya in she made her way towards the living room she knew she had some things to clear'.

Arjun walked back and fro'thinking about what Shilpa had told her'would it really work?

Sighing and deciding it would'he went to take a book to read when a letter fell out of it'..he looked at it curiously and picked it up'he was about to open it when his phone rang'leaving the letter in the book and keeping the book back he made his way to his phone:

A-Hello

V-Hey

A-Vicky tum?

V-Ji bro woh'mein actually Arohi wants to meet you so can you meet her at the beach at 7 today?

A-Okayy'bye

V-Bye'

A smiling Arjun cut the call'he was so happy he would be seeing her again'.his heart fluttered with joy at the mere thought but then harsh reality shut down all the happiness'when his heart started taunting his mind:Why are you so happy?All you will do is break her heart?So whats the use?And for that second Arjun started regretting his decision'.thinking that she was not even at fault but then the picture of his bro in pain'all rational thoughts left him as he started planning how to make her believe him?

Arohi paced her room and looked at Sid who gave her a reassuring look'

A-Sid are we doing the right thing?

S-Arohi it was your idea'plus he was also a part of it right?He too hurt your Di so there's nothing to be worried about'.

Hearing these lines Arohi became confident'she thought she was doing the right thing after all that Arjun was also a part of it'he had also hurt her Di'.Di had treated him like a small brother but what had he done?Choose to believe his own flesh and blood'ignoring her Di's pleas even if he knew she was right he choose to ignore that but on top of that had taunted her

**Flashback**

She had been sleeping when her phone rang'she picked it up though very annoyed at the caller for annoying her sleep'

A-Hello

G-Aaa'.ru'.**sob**'.A'.rrruuu'.**sob**

Arohi sat up in a jerk and asked in a concerned voice:'Di kya howa apko?'

G-Woh'Maaa'.nnn'**sob**'woh'**sob**

A-Di first calm down then tell me'.

G-Maan didn't trust me and Arjun he did the same'.he said I was a'.**sob** characterless g'iiirrrlll'Aru its not true na'.**sob**'He was like a brother to me'A'rruu woh'

A-Di shhh calm down'wait'

After some time when Geet calmed down and told Arohi everything by the end of it Arohi had tears running down her cheek'consoling her sister she cut the phone'she wiped out her tears'and it was in that moment she had decided she hated Maan Singh Khurana and his brother Arjun Khurana'they were the reason of the pain her Di was going though she would never forgive them and if possible'.she would make them pay and that day she made a promise to herself'.

**Flashback ends**

She thought that today she had the chance to fur fill her promise'.to make Arjun suffer but why was her heart against it?

Why did it keep telling her she was wrong?

Why did his face keep coming in her mind'.shaking her head she looked around and saw Sid had left'slowly making her way to the cupboard'.she started going through her drawer and took out what she had been looking for'a blue coloured covered book'it was decent from the cover but only she knew the secrets it held''

Maan was staring at the note in his hand'yes this note was five years old'.this note which had lead his life to destruction yet he couldn't help keep it'.he was staring at it'.this note reminded him that he was supposed to hate her'not think about her yet sometimes his heart betrayed him when he thought about those days'.he leaned back on his bed as he remembered that day'

**Flashback**

A-Bhai woh jab mein woh'

M-Arjun kya howa?

Arjun narrated the whole scene to him'.Maan couldn't believe his ears'.not wanting to listen more'.he had gone there'what he saw there didn't shock him but what he had heard did'.for the first time doubt started to rise in his heart but he brushed it off he believed in his love'.but just for Arjun's sake he would ask her'so

M-Geet what are you doing?

**Flashback ends**

Maan wiped a tear that had escaped his eyes'.his heart bled for her'it ached to hold her in his arms but all those thoughts were covered when blinded rage brew in him when he remembered Yash and how she had said she was married'.he broke the glass on the table'which sliced through his hand but he was blinded by rage'how could she was all he could think'.that Yash'.the kid'.that's when anger left him and a calming sensation filled him'.when he pictured the little girl'all anger faded away'relief filled him he didn't understand why he felt close to that girl''.

Geet looked at Yash's face and smiled'not the happy smile but a painful one'it was a smile with showed her helplessness'.Yash put his hand on top of her's and said:'I understand Geet'.i know I get it''

Geet just nodded'.

G-Then why do you ask me?

Y-I need to know

G-It's the past

Y-Its affecting your present and future'

G-I don't care'

Y-Shouldn't you tell him?

G-No never'that man will never come in my life again!!

Y-It was a misunderstanding'

G-HE DIDN'T TRUST ME!!

Y-Neither did she trust me'

G-16 YEARS GODDAMIT'WHAT ELSE DO YOU EXPECT?

Y-You're right'im sorry'

G-Not your fault'.

Y-Yes it is'it's our fault'

**Flashback**

Y-Geet go tell him'

G-But he doesn't want to hear me out

Y-You should give him a chance'

G-No I cant'

Y-You'll never regret it?

G-No'.

Y-Sure'

G-Yes'

And that decision was the reason they were still paying'.

Y-Get some sleep

G-Hmmm'Goodnight

Geet walked towards her room and went and opened the drawer'.which held the darkest secrets of her life'she opened it and took that letter out which reminded her all the reasons to hate Maan and this drawer held her terrible past which even Maan didn't know'she had hid it from him'.not because of what he would think because she couldn't see him breaking down'.Maan had seen hurt before all that happened'but only Geet knew what had really happened!!

Armaan lay in bed thinking about what all had happened'.how he was also the reason why Maan was not with Geet today'he got up and opened his cupboard and took out a paper which had destroyed many lives'.

Yash lay in bed looking at the picture'.and then thinking how knowing one thing had lead to so many misshapenness'.he sighed'but he was content he had sided with Geet'..
