Into the Unknown with Pradeep
It was a dark, October night at the Chandigarh bus station. Pradeep was heading to Shimla for a two day break from work and some R&R (rest and relaxation). Pradeep boarded the bus and chose to sat in middle of the bus. He brought a copy of a business book by Jack Welch to keep him company during the 4 hour bus ride to Shimla. "Oye Shimla, Shimla, Shimla, Shimla" - the bus conductor was shouting, searching for any other passengers to board.
2 hours into the trip, Pradeep felt a jolt of excitement he hadn't felt since he was a college student. Working in a office had taken the youthful joy, Pradeep once had. I'm going on a adventure...mazza aayga thought Pradeep. Working at Nestle in Mohali, Pradeep had the most strict and boring boss, Mr. Sharma. Pradeep, being a fresher, felt overworked and underpaid by the company. Mr. Sharma knew this and took full advantage of it.
More to come later...

During his first of work at Nestle, Pradeep recalls a incident with Mr. Sharma that almost got him fired. He had forgotten to contact a distributor in Mumbai, much to the dismay of Mr. Sharma. "Pradeep, why did you not contact the distrubtor?!" Mr. Sharma says angrily.
"Sir, it slipped my mind. I won't make the mistake again." Pradeep says.
"If you do this again, you will be fired. Got it?" Mr. Sharma responds.
Meanwhile, on the bus...
A passenger nudged Pradeep. "Sahib ji hum Shimla pauchne hain". Pradeep got off the bus and headed toward Mall road to find his hotel and rest for the night...

Pradeep arrived at the hotel. After having dinner, he turned on the TV and fell asleep.
The next morning, it was a chilly October day in Shimla. He decided to have a 'veggie sandwich' at Subway. Eating Subway in Chandigarh/Mohali always gave Pradeep the energy he needed for the day.
What Pradeep enjoyed about Shimla and why he frequented the area numerous times; the kindness of the locals and the natural beauty is what keeps bringing him back over and over again.
Pradeep is a relatively tall man. Around 6 feet and he felt like a giant walking among the crowd on Mall Road. He received unnecessary attention due to his height but he enjoyed it.

Pradeep felt he was going into the unknown, on this 2 day adventure in Shimla. He chose to sit and meditate for a while. He found a seating area on the outskirts of town, which did not have very much of a crowd.
"Ooommm. I am the universe. The universe is inside me." Pradeep chants and meditates.
He continued meditating and felt as if he was reaching an enlightment stage...

I feel so much peach and tranquility while I meditate, Pradeep thought. He continues to meditate and sees a vision of his future, not working in a office, but in an ashram.
Am I meant to be a spritual guru? Pradeep thought.
Pradeep felt a sense of personal power, confidence and inner strength, while meditating and chanting on this seat on the outskirts of town.
"Young man, what are you doing?", a man asked Pradeep.

"Sir, can I help you? I am just meditating with the beautiful Shimla scenery in the background, " Pradeep responds.
"Carry on! Very good." The man responded with a smile.
Pradeep felt a more isolated place within nature would have been better for his meditation today; but unforunately it was not within his walking distance.

Pradeep ends his meditation and starts singing a song, "I'm coming home. Coming home. Let the rain wash away. All the pain of yesterday. Tell the world...that I'm coming home..."
Nearby a group of people hear Pradeep singing and join him. They begin to dance with him as well.
Pradeep is happy again. This two day adventure in Shimla has been awesome.

An entire square in Shimla breaks out in song-and-dance mode.

"Shimla is great!!!" Pradeep shouts to the crowd.

It slowly started to rain in Shimla, but the crowd nor Pradeep really paid attention.
This was their, their moment, to capture it all or let it slip.
"Hello everybody, do not let the rain deter you. Keep dancing. Yahooo!" Pradeep shouted.
