Recap: Just as Khushi was about to hit the stone steps face down, she felt a strong arm grip her waist.

Part 2

'Naa jaane yeh mohobat le jayegi humein kahaan, yeh kahani sunayegi, Humari Daastan'

Khushi grabbed onto the arm that was holding her by the waist in a vice like grip and slowly brought herself up. As she looked up to the see the face of her saviour, her heart stopped.

There he was, his face merely inches away from her own. The face she had been waiting three long years to see. The face that had been a constant presence in her dreams and thoughts for the last three years. His face.

'Arnav.' Khushi breathed.

At the sound of his name from Khushi, Arnav's heart stopped. The girl who he had been yearning to see for the last three years was right before him, in his arms.

They both just looked at each other for a while - as though they were both convincing their hearts that the other was really standing before them and it wasn't an illusion.

Wolf whistles from the crowd that had now gathered on the balcony brought the two from the trance like state. Arnav began to help Khushi back up the stairs,

'Arnav - yeh kya kar rahe hain? Upar kyun jaana hai?'

'Tum bas upar chalo.' came the abrupt reply.

'Arre lekin kyun Arnav?' Khushi questioned once again.

This time there was no reply. Arnav simply took the chawl key from Khushi's hand, went and unlocked the door, came back to Khushi and took her by the waist inside her home and closed the door behind him.

Once inside, Arnav made Khushi sit down, and knelt before her,

'Pair me dard to nahi ho raha?' he asked with his eyebrows furrowed in worry.

'Arnav - hum bilkul theek hain. Kuch bhi to nahi hua.' Khushi replied, gazing at Arnav sweetly.

'Kuch bhi nahi hua?!' Arnav stood up suddenly and began pacing around the small living area in the chawl.

'Kuch bhi nahi hua Khushi?' he asked in a loud tone,

'Aaj tum ghir jaati to bhi kuch nahi hota haina?! Tum har roz in jaanwaron hi vahiaat baatein sunti ho, itni zilaat sehti ho, itna aaphmaan hota hai tumara. Kyun Khushi, kyun? Arre pichle theen saalon mein tumne naa jaane kya kuch nahi saha hoga. Aur main! Main itni door se tumare liye kuch nahi kar sakta! Aur agar kuch kar sakta hoon to tum mujhe karne nahi deti! Aakhir main tumara lagta hi kya hoon haina - mujhe kyun apna samajhne lagi tum?!'

'Aapko agar aapna nahi samjhoongi to phir humara raha hi kaun hai is duniya main Arnav?' Khushi replied softly.

At this statement , Arnav stopped pacing and went and sat beside Khushi,

'Eh, kya matlab tumara kaun hai? Mera parivaar tumhara hai, mera ghar tumhara hai, mera sab kuch tumhara hai - main bhi to tumhara hi hoon.'

At his last words, Khushi blushed a deep crimson, this earned a deep laugh from Arnav,

'Ai hai, theen saalon se taras gaye tha tumhe yun sharmata hua dekhne ke liye.'

Khushi smiled, then looked deep into Arnav's eyes.

'Kya dekh rahi ho? Yehi ki pardes ki hava ne mujhe kitna handsome bana diya hai?' Arnav teased,

'Arre aapko kaise pata? Hum to vaaki mein yahi soch rahe the ki jaane se pehle to aap bilkul bandaar lagte the aur ab to bilkul film ke koi hero jaise lagte hain!' Khushi teased back and they both laughed as they fell back into the same easy conversation.

'Tumne dawai lee Khushi?' Arnav asked - concern evident on his face.

Khushi tensed, how was she supposed to tell Arnav that she could not afford the expensive pain medication her condition required. Arnav sent her more than enough money each month so how could she explain the lack of money for something as important as her medicine,

'Humari dawa ki chodiye. Pehle waada kijiye.' Khushi changed the subject.

'Kaisa waada?' asked Arnav.

'Arre, waada kijiye na.' Khushi insisted.

Realisation suddenly dawned on Arnav's face. Did Khushi really believe that he would accept what he knew she was about to ask of him?

'Kuch bhi maanglo Khushi, lekin yeh waada main nahi karoonga.' Arnav replied extremely seriously.

'Arre, lekin aapko to yeh bhi nahi pata ke hum waada kis baat ka maang rahe hain.' Khushi stated simply.

'Pata hain mujhe ki tum kya maangogi. Yahi naa ki mein baar ke logon ko kuch naa karoon?' Arnav looked straight at Khushi.

Khushi looked down and said extremely quietly,

'Arnav kaamaka, bina baat ke-',

'Bina baat ke!' Arnav exclaimed,

'Khushi, tumaari beizaati main kabhi nahi seh sakta - saamne wala chahe yeh chawl wale hon yah mere hi parivaar ka koi.'

Khushi's eyes welled up at Arnav's words, just as she was about to say something back, Arnav's phone rang.

@ the risk of tormenting and going against my heart, i would love to admit that i love your Khushi and Arnav in both your stories more than the current Arnav and Khushi on the show !!! i could instantly connect to both of them, their emotions, their anxiety, their anger, pain and hesitation !! Bravo!! generally when i see two characters that really move me i want to write .. your Khushi and Arnav do that to me 😳 they make me wanna write ... and they create this sense of dissatisfaction creep into your heart yearning for the two souls to meet... as usual let me rip the lines i loved the most ...

so beautiful !! sounds so real ...😳 mere aankhon main aansoon aa gaye ...why dont these men exist for real??? may be because, men in real life, cant be this good !! what cant be a reality, becomes an illusion, and for writers like you way to raise our level of emotions ... i lived this moment with them!

'Ai hai, theen saalon se taras gaye tha tumhe yun sharmata hua dekhne ke liye.'

Khushi smiled, then looked deep into Arnav's eyes.

'Kya dekh rahi ho? Yehi ki pardes ki hava ne mujhe kitna handsome bana diya hai?' Arnav teased,

loved the smooth transition from concern, to love to yearning to light hearted teasing and humor .. all clubbed in one.. i was beginning to imagine how an actor would react and portray so many emotions at one time.. how challenging it would be for an actor na !!!
