Geet closed her eyes and chanted in her head "She can't be here I am imaging her." when she opened her eyes she saw he talking to one of the girl standing in the corner.
"Babes are you ok?" asked Vicky with concern.
"Yes! Where is Maan?" she asked Vicky.
"He is talking to some business guys over there!" he pointed towards Maan who was busy talking to group of men.
Pari was confused with exchange between Geet and Vicky.
"I need to talk to him!" she said and walked towards Maan but stopped in midway. "She can't spoil this event for him!" he will tell her later.
"Pari! Let's go!" she said to Pari.
Pari got ready at once but Vicky stopped them.
"Babes where do you think you are going!"
"Darling! I want to get out off here!" she told him honestly.
"Ok! Then let's go home some one is waiting for you there" said Vicky.
Before Geet could say anything Vicky took her hand and pulled her out of party. Pari followed them and she did not like the way Vicky is treating Geet.
They walked out of party and got into their vehicle. Vicky drives his sports car while Geet and Pari were in their sports car. Pari was driving the car while angry words were pouring out of her mouth.
Geet was busy texting Maan "Maan I am going with Vicky, I will see you soon, need to talk about something very important"
Maan text her back "Will see you soon mishti!"
When Geet didn't respond back to Pari she got irritated and yelled "Are you listening to me or not?"
"Sorry! What were you saying?" asked Geet with guilty look.
"I was asking did Vicky mother eat glue before his birth?" said Pari
"What?" asked Geet with confusion written all over her face.
"He is so chipko! I mean he was all over you" said Pari.
"He is not chipko Pari, he just love me too much, he don't have any sister na, that's why" said Geet.
"Why you call him darling? and Why do he address you as babes?" asked Pari while turning wheels of the car.
"Pari you should be part inquiry commission!" said Geet with giggling.
"Very funny!" shot back Pari making faces.
"Because I was suppose to be his bhabhi and her was suppose to be cute little devar but we didn't like old fashion words so that why he calls me babes and I love calling him darling" explained Geet with light smile.
"I still don't like his chipko behavior at all!" Pari said finally.
"Give him so time I am sure you will love him too" said Geet.
Pari just rolled her eyes at Geet words but didn't say anything.
They stopped in front of Khurana mansion, Geet stepped out of car with worried expression and before Pari could ask her she heard Vicky "Babes are you ok?"
"Darling I don't know how I will face grandma, she must be angry with me" said Geet to him.
"Babes! She love you and she really misses you, don't kept her waiting more that is the only thing that will hurt her!" said Vicky and Pari notice some peace returning to Geet face.
They walked inside and Pari was really not interested anymore to go inside but she did just for Geet.
When they reached inside Geet heart started beating fast due to nervousness it happen the first time she met grandma and it is happening now again.
"Grandma! Look who is here to see you?" called Vicky in loud voice.
"Oh my god! Vicky you came back!" they heard grandma scream. Grandma came downstairs almost running she was wearing silk robes and looking elegant.
But when she saw Geet she completely ignored her grandson and took Geet in her arms.
"Oh god! Geet you came back! It's so good to see you, Oh darling you have no idea how much I missed you!" said Grandma.
Geet hugged grandma back and said in tears "I miss you too grandma"
"That's why you left, that's why you never came to see me again" said grandma with tears rolling down.
"I never left you grandma, but I was afraid of Maan's anger!" she told her honestly.
Geet never hide anything from this lovely old lady so she didn't lie to her.
"You should have left Maan to me, I would have handled him!" she assured her.
"Grandma I came back from U.S.A. after four years too!" Vicky reminded innocently to get some attention from his grandma.
Grandma looked at his and hugged but quickly let go of him and then her attention diverted towards Pari.
"Vicky I thought you were coming back alone, since when did you thought of bringing foreign gift for us?"
Vicky was confused by his grandma's words so waited for his grandma to clear further.
"Vicky! You brought your girlfriend here or your wife?" she asked in thunderous voice.
"What?" he asked in confusion and then his attention moved towards Pari Geet's adopted sister.
He rolled his eyes and said "Bro can kept Babes at home for weeks and you never said a single word but encourage him and poor Vicky brought home his wife you had a problem, Not fair grandma" said Vicky folding his arms.
"Geet was my choice for your brother that why she got to stay at Khurana mansion but I don't know this girl, if she is as good as Geet I have no problem!"
Grandma replied back.
Pair was shocked at exchange between Chipko Vicky and his grandma. While Geet was standing there trying very hard not to laugh.
"Grandma she is like babes refection, now you accept her as Vicky's wife" asked Vicky.
"I will wait and see if she is what you claim then you have my permission to keep her here!"
"What?" left Pari's mouth before anyone could say anything more.
Vicky started laughing loudy and Geet join him with her tinkling giggles and grandma and Pari were both shocked.
Once Vicky got control over his laughter he said "Grandma you are so innocent, I was just kidding, she is Geet adopted sister Pari!"
Grandma smack Vicky on his head but lightly hugged Pari. Pari hugged her back with shock because she was only hugged by Geet. She orphan like Geet but Geet was lucky she had her parents till she was sixteen but Pari was very unlucky and she never saw face of her parent for her all family was Geet.
Pari loved the motherly hug even through she didn't like chipko one bit.
"Where did you find Geet?" Grandma asked Vicky.
"She was at Bro's party, didn't he told you!" asked Vicky.
Grandma smiled and said "That's why my Maan is on cloud nine these days because you are back"
Geet only smiled but didn't say anything. How could she tell grandma that they are just friend how could she tell her that they might never be together, how could she break million hopes of this old lady who she love so much"
That moment Geet phone started ringing and Geet saw Maan was calling her before she could answer grandma took phone from her and cut the call and then asked Vicky "Call your Bro and tell him Grandma wants to see him at once"
Vicky did as his grandma told him.
Maan was shocked to hear his grandma order and thought of postponing meeting Geet for a moment he have sneak at night like his collage days because Geet want to talk about something and she sound worried but at the moment grandma is in Hitler mode so it is safe first to see grandma then Geet.
He texted her "Mishti wait 4 me…….. I will see to late tonight…….. grandma alert…….."
He prayed to Babaji before stepping inside the house. He saw his grandma was sitting on sofa with one of her bad mood playing on her face. Vicky was sitting beside her with fearful expression on his face.
Maan came near his grandma and touched her feet with respect but before he could get up his grandma held his ear.
"Ouch Grandma!"
"How dare you didn't tell me about Geet? You were meeting her every day but you didn't bring her home? You have any idea how much I missed my little girl!" said his grandma.
"Sorry grandma!" Maan said throwing murderous glance at Vicky.
Before grandma could say anything more Maan heard Geet laughter and he knew grandma was faking her anger.
He smiled at grandma and grandma hugged him "Never let her go this time!" she whispered in his ear.
"Never!" He replied back.
He got out of his grandma arms and ran behind his target "You knew about this and yet you didn't inform me!" he screamed at Geet laughing while running behind her.
"She took my cell phone away! She knew I will inform you!" Geet replied back running towards terrace.
"Geet! don't run away from me or else I will tickle you to till death" warned Maan.
"For that you have to catch me first" replied Geet laughing back.
Maan caught her as they went through terrace door. Maan started tickling her "Please Maan! She begged him laughing.
"I warned you!" he said tickling some more.
After few minutes he stopped tickling and said "break time!"
She wiped her tears and said "let's go everyone is waiting for us" she walked towards the door but Maan held her hand.
"My dance!" he reminded her and pulled her in his embrace.
She put her arms around his neck. They started to sway with natural music of wind, insects, humming of people in surrounding, car moving, and world around them.
It was not just a dance, it was dance of desire. Desire to be with each other, desire to feel each other, desire to be loved by each other, desire to kiss each other, desire to feel skin of each other, desire to lose in each other.
Geet raised her face towards Maan and closed her eyes, she wanted him to kiss her, she was longing for his lips on her. Maan looked at her and knew her desire was similar to him. He so much wanted to taste those lips, it's been four years but he held himself back.
"No blunders! Take it slow!" he reminded himself.
"You are looking really beautiful under moonlight my innocent succubus" he whispered in her ears.
She smiled and hid her face in his chest.
"Geet you wanted to talk about something?" he reminded her.
Geet become still at once but she never hide anything from him before so she gathered her courage and said "Maan! Naintara is back!"
He reacted the way she expected. His body went stiff in her arms and his heart started racing thousand miles per hour.
Then she heard his thunderous deadly voice "I wont let that bloody bitch touch you!" he promised her while tighten his grip around her.
