Armaan, Riddhima, Atul, Anjali and Nikita were standing on a round near the college gate.

"Phew! Finally the exams are over. Feeling so damn good!", Armaan said with a huge grin.

"Yeah dude! Finally the torture is finished. Anyways, what's the plan after this? Party-sharty toh banti hai boss!", Atul yelled in glee. "Obviously Atul! We'll have a grand party!", Anjali supported him.

Riddhima lowered her eyes and frowned, where as, Armaan gave a bad-idea look. Observing their faces, Nikita said smilingly, "Guys! Lets do the party tomorrow. Today I suggest we should take rest. After all, dimaag ka dahi ho gaya naa iss horrible exams se."

"Sahi hai yaar. You are right! Theek hai phir.. lets do the party tomorrow." Atul declared. Armaan and Riddhima's face glowed up.

"Fine then! Lets go home now. Atul, chalo!", Anjali said with a pale face and left with Atul. Nikita, too, departed for her home. Finally the love birds got the privacy!

Armaan and Riddhima were on their way to their home. "So what's the plan for the evening?", Armaan asked affectionately. Riddhima teasingly smiled and pretending to yawn, she said, "Mujhe toh bas sona hai aur I guess tujhe bhi." "Kkyya?", Armaan said in disbelief and Riddhima broke into laughter.

Understanding that his leg was being pulled, Armaan rolled his eyes and said, "Riddhima, tu kabhi nahi sudhregi." A tight smile crept Riddhima's lips and she said proudly, "I know Armaan!" Now that was enough to make Armaan smile.

Armaan and Riddhima threw themselves on the bed after eating the yummiest lunch ever made by their dearest DJ.

"Feeling so relax!", Armaan said slightly smiling and sighed.

"Same here!", said Riddhima, closed her eyes to find some piece and soon she dozed off.

Armaan turned to face Riddhima and was stunned to see her so innocently sleeping. He smiled beautifully and kept on gazing her. "I can stare at you for my whole life, Riddhima.", he said softly and planted a soft kiss on her forehead.

Unconsciously, Riddhima smiled as if even in her sleep, she could feel the touch of her love. This thought contracted Armaan's heart with immense love. He sat up and lifting Riddhima in his arms, he made her lay properly on the bed and pull the blanket on her. Once he was sure that she was in a deep slumber, he gently kissed on her lips and walked out of the room.

Riddhima lazily opened her eyes and rubbed them. "Neend acchi aayi beta?", DJ asked and came in with a cup of coffee in her hands. "Haan DJ!", Riddhima sleepily said and yawned. "B/w where is Armaan?", she asked, taking a sip of coffee.

"He has gone out for some work and he'll be back in 10 minutes, that's what he told me. Anyways, beta, I need to tell you something. Actually suddenly I have to go to Shimla for a week as my friend's daughter's marriage is on the cards. I informed Armaan, just needed to tell you.", DJ said normally. "Okay DJ! Have an awesome fun and do call us when you'll reach there.", Riddhima said smilingly and getting up from the bed, she side-hugged her. "Sure beta! Just make sure that you two are taking care of yourselves." DJ concernedly said, to which, Riddhima replied, "Arey don't worry DJ, we will take care. Aap jao aur bas enjoy karo." DJ nodded and bidding farewell from Riddhima, she left.

Riddhima sat on her bed and pouting, she said, "Ahhh I hate being home alone. Where is this Malik?!" She picked up the landline and dialed Armaan's number.

"Oye where are you?"

"Riddhima, I'm driving right now. Can't talk. Will be back in 5 minutes."

"Fine. I'm waiting."

Suddenly Riddhima heard a loud thud sound which shocked her.

"Armaan? Are you there? Hello? Armaan?"

The call disconnected, and the landline fell off from Riddhima's hands. Lines of terror flashed on her forehead.

Riddhima, Atul, Anjali and Nikita rushed inside City Hospital. "Armaan Malik?", Riddhima asked the receptionist in her shivered voice. "Main floor, ICU." the receptionist politely said. Everyone widened their eyes as the word "ICU" was mentioned.

Without wasting a moment, Riddhima ran to the ICU, while the others followed her. As everyone reached there, she headed to the door to see a glimpse of Armaan through the glass. Her steps were trembling, and finally when she saw him, tears gushed from her eyes at a high speed.

A doctor was aiding Armaan's forehead injury, one of the nurses was bandaging his arm, while the other was injecting something in his saline bottle, which was connected to his vein through a pipe. Seeing this view had almost shaken Riddhima, and unable to stand, she was about to fall, when Nikita held her.

"Niki, I shouldn't have called him at that time.", Riddhima said numbly.

"It wasn't your fault. You didn't know.", Nikita said and hugged her.

"He's in this condition cuz he was talking to me on phone. I hate myself!", Riddhima said in the midst of her sniffs.

"Sshh! Riddhima, don't say like that. He'll be fine.", Nikita said and caressed her head to console her.

The doctor came out with a serious look. The gang stood before him with worried expressions. "Doctor, how is he?", Riddhima impatiently asked with a hope to get a positive news. "Well, he'll be out of danger if he gets conscious in 24 hours, or else-"

"Or else what?", Nikita asked with a sense of fear in her voice. "Or else, he will slip into coma.", the doctor slowly said, which made everyone dumbfounded.

As the clock was tick-ticking, the tension kept on arising. Riddhima was sitting, leaning her head against the wall at the back. Her tears were dried, and her face looked dull. Atul, Anjali and Nikita were praying in the church. Their heartbeats rate was increasing as each nano-second passed.

Riddhima walked in the church numbly and sitting on the bench, she closed her eyes and folded her hands. "Please Armaan ko theek kardo.", she said weakly, and hearing her, the gang, who were sitting in the front, turned back and felt their hearts pricked seeing their friend in that way.

It was the next day morning. Riddhima was sitting still in the church, when Nikita came running to her and said joyfully, "Armaan ko hosh aa gaya, and he's continuously asking for you." A lively, contented smile curved on her lips hearing that.

With teary eyes and a slight smile on the face, Riddhima entered in the ward where Armaan was kept in after the treatment. Armaan slowly moved his head to the other side and seeing Riddhima, he weakly smiled. Others, understanding that they should be left alone, walked out.

Sitting on the chair beside Armaan's bed, Riddhima held his hand and asked in a low tone, "How are you feeling now?"

"Better!", Armaan whispered, and smiled.

Riddhima smiled hearing that. Tears were still streaming from her eyes and she was wiping them off again and again.

"You'll feel better if those come out, so let them just flow, cuz after this, I don't want these in your eyes.", Armaan said lovingly.

Unable to control anymore, Riddhima hugged him and started crying. "Main bohot darr gayi thi, Armaan. Pehele bhi tujhe kho chuki thi, abhi phir se khohti toh main mar jaati yaar.", she said in between her sobs.

"Riddhima, I'm fine. You didn't loose me, and I promise you'll never.", Armaan said tenderly caressing her hairs.

After they broke off their hug, Armaan slipped his hands around Riddhima's neck and pulling her closer, he softly brushed his lips on hers as a silent gesture of his love!..
