"hahahaha! Wese ye bilkul sahe baat ke hai tumne Priya!"

Diya was laughing at yet another joke cracked on Gunjan , when Suhani and Nupur joined them.

Nupur: " oh no! it seems like I missed something" and she giggled while Gunjan pouted, " han han ura lo mera mazaq" but then even she joined in the laughter.

Suhani: " chalo bohat ho gaye Gunjan ke tareefen ab caf chalet hain!"

Priya: " lo ho gaya Suhani madam ka caf time!"

Suhani glared at Priya while all other giggled.

Nupur: " han to aik kam karo , Suhani jee aap ja kar apne garam garam samose khayen! Itna acha mausam hai aur Meine to aj hicco icecream wale ko dekha tha bahar college ke and you know na…"

Gunjan: " han han hmen pata hai hmare Nupur ko hicce wale icelollies kitne passand hain!"

And with that it was decided that Gunjan, Priya and Nupur will get them all ice lollies, while Diya will go with Suhani to caf as Suhani just didn't liked ice lollies. Yes it was a shock to her friends to but well they still loved her.

Mayank and Sam were playing basketball while Sam was busy reading Newton's "God-Knew-which-theory", as Mayank liked calling it.

Mayank was himself trying to talk to him about his favorite topic, his girlfriends, was irritated when Sam was completely ignoring him. All Mayank had succeeded in getting out of him was , " hmmm..".

Mayank: " kya roothe hue girlfriends ke tarhan hmmm?"

Sam: " that's because I am not interested in listening to how many times Ria said I love you to you on your last date!"

Maaynk threw the ball at Sam , which he was quick at catching and throwing back .

Sam: " acha wo sb chor! Chal aj tujhe mein icecream khilata hoon!"

Mayank : " chal phir tu itna keh raha hai to…"

Grinning both of them went to the gate where many icecream stall keepers were present.

Gunjan: "mein to apple lolly khaon ge!'

Priya: " mein to apple lolly …bilkul nahe khaon ge! Mein to pine apple wali ice lolly khaon ge!"

Nupur : ( exitedly) " mein to sare flavors ke ice lolly kahon ge!"

She looked at their shocked faces and giglled. This new, girly, excited side of Nupur was completely new to even her best friends. However they both smiled at each other while Nupur ran to the gate , calling them to hurry up, just like a child thrilled.

Gunjan: " hmare Nupur kitne cute hai na?"

Priya: " aise he to hmare jan nahe hai na wo?"
and smiling they both followed her.

Suddenly it started raining.

Priya : ( yelling from behind) " Nupur rehne dete hain! Barish ho rahe hai wahan tak kese jaen gey?"

Nupur: ( turning towards them) " tum log yehen ruku mein abhe le ker aate…."

Mayank had been waiting for Sam to get the ice-cream, and it had started raining so he ran towards the shade. In that hurry he collided into someone , " sorry!"
"its okay!" and when Mayank looked up it was Nupur…a smiling Nupur!

She was holding an umbrella , partially covering her from rain but still she was quiet wet. Her hair were flowing with the wind , her lips curled into a smile, she looked…beautiful… Mayank just stood their staring at her until she moved ahead and Mayank realized he was holding his breath…

His eyes never left her..their was something about her that had captivated him and he just couldn't help stare at her.

Nupur: " Hicco wale bhai!!"
he heard the always quiet Nupur yelling at the top of her voice… he was still staring at her when she turned and he saw her …it was then that Mayank realized what had struck him so hard…her eyes…

They were alive with her excitement..he could see in them , how easily the silence was replaced and they were lit up…. Mayank just couldn't look away from her eyes…

aaNkheN dekhii to maiN dekhtaa rah gayaa….
jaam do aur donon hii do aatishah…

With all those icelollies in her hand , she was trying to open one. With the rain droplets falling on her face, and her efforts to eat the ice cream, she looked adorable…and Mayank couldn't help when a loving smile crept on his face, uninvited…

Suddenly their eyes met…and he was again captivated by them..…

Nupur caught Mayank staring at her in a strange manner……Nervously Nupur plucked her free falling hair behind her ear and lowered her eyes…

she started moving away when suddenly on an instinct she again looked up … he was still looking…..

Mayank saw her raise her eyes and in an instant he knew why she was called 'silent princess'.. she was a princess no doubt, beautiful as she was… but silent? Yes her eyes were too silent, now that she had seen him and her excitement was subsiding he saw the silence reappear …however he was shocked by the strange reaction of his heart who disliked that silence…the joy in the eyes was what he wanted to see…. It was a strange depth in them… As if those eyes had seen a different world… her own world of dreams….

aankheN inko kahuuN yaa kahuuN Khvaab haiN….

aankheN niichii hu'iiN to hayaa ban gayiiN……

aankheN jhuk kar uThiiN to adaa ban gayiiN……….

aankheN jin meN haiN qaid aasmaan-o-zamiiN…..

with a last glance she turned and left towards her friends..while Maayank eyes still followed her…

"ahem ahem…"

people seems to be completely lost!"

Mayank saw a grinning Sam holding out his icecream.

Mayank: ( snatching his icecream) " you better shut up Sam…"

He composed himself, hoping against hope, Sam would drop it but Sam was right behind him.

" oye hoey! Ab please tu blush na kren nahe to mein top floor se jump krke suicide karloon ga!"

Maayank: " aur agar to ab chup na hua to mein tujhe top floor per le kar ja kr ..DHAKA de doon ga!"
he glared at Sam but to no avail..Sam kept on teasing him the whole day and Mayank was just not able to think beyond those eyes of silent princess….

it is strange but whenever two lonely hearts need a link…eyes are always there to provide it….its often the eyes through which love prospers in hearts… maybe love had find a way for them too………..
