Part -26

geet knocks on maan's cabin. Maan asks her to come.

"so geet u think the time is 9.00 now….hai na?" he looked up from his file.

"sir wo…wo"

"why r u late geet?" maan askedmaintaining the stern tone.

Geet murmers 'look how he is asking as if he dunno anything…..dust danav'

Maan again asks "geet I m asking u not the wall…"

"sir wo ..me…i….wo"

"geet I don't have time to listen to ur nonsense. Now go and make the files ready for the meeting. Take this file make it copies…give me one copy and spread the remaining on the conference table. Check the designs and blue prints whether they r all placed in order or not and even check whether they belong to this project or some other….hmm….and ask rasika to bring the modified blue prints to the meeting" maan said in a go.

Geet looked at him with her mouth opened

"geet….now go y r u still here?"

"haan..hmm…yes sir" she turns around to leave and walks to the door when she again turns back and asks "sir should I follow u to the meeting?"

"nahi…..as my secretary is a princess she doesn't actually wake up early and come to work so I myself will do the work of my secretary also…so madam aap aram karo"

Geet looks at him frustrated and says "dust danav" and leaves the room before he says anything.

She goes to her cabin and starts working on the things he said. She had only 15 mins left and the clients may be here at any time. If she do any small mistake maan is not going to leave her. She will definitely be fired. But as she is angry on him yesterday she not only completed all her work of yesterday's but also made the copies of the file before she handed over to him yesterday evening by adi sir. She also checked all the designs and blue prints and placed them in order.half of her work is already over. So the things she should do now is to place the files in conference hall and check on rasika.

She took the bunch of files in her hands and when she is about to leave her cabin misha entered her cabin.

Misha hurriedly came and took some files from geet's hand which threatened to fall any time "geet y r u carrying these many files at a time?"

"mish maan sir told me to keep them in conference hall for meeting.."replied geet.

"oh ok…let me help u" misha and geet walked to the conference hall and placed the files.

"omg mish time is up…the clients will be here in any minute I still have to check on rasika and give the file to maan sir"

"geet calm down…I will check upon rasika mam…u go and give the file to sir" misha assured her.

"thanks mish" geet.

"anytime babz" misha went to rasika and geet walked to maan's cabin when maan is on the phone.

He gestured her to come in and she came and stood there watching him. After the call completed maan turned to geet to speak when adi came in and informed him about the arrival of clients. Maan took the file from geet and both went to the conference hall.

The meeting went well and it took their whole morning. After the meeting geet sat in her cabin playing with a pen in her hand and looking at maan who is busy in his file through the blinds. She observed him for sometime and finally got up from her chair and went to his cabin.

"sir…sirr"

"hmm…kya geet…kaho…I m busy" maan replied still looking into his file.

"sir yeh lunch time hai"

"to..jao have ur lunch...mujhe kyun bataraheho?"

"aap bhi avona"

Maan looked up from the file "what?"

"meri matlab…even u dint have ur lunch na so…I m saying u to have it…..ummm…as a friend" she spoke the last words in a very low tone but maan heard them.

Maan smiled and said "geet u go and eat I have so much work. I will eat later."

"nahi…plzz" geet kept a baby face.

Maan cannot say her no "ok geet u order the food her we will eat here."

"teekai maan…oops meri matlab hai maan sir" geet smiled.

"geet u can call me maan…afterall hum dost hain na"

"nahi…how can i….office mein sab log kya sochege?"

"kuch nai sochenge"

"nahi…nahi"

"to ek kam karo"

"kya hai?"

"call me maan sir when we are working and u can call me maan when we are not working ok?"

"hmm….idea icha hai?...but what should I call u now maan ya maan sir?"

"maan"

"kyun?"

"kyun ki ab lunch time hai aur I m having my lunch with my friend….so as a friend now u will call me maan"

"hmmm"

"teekai wont u order the food?"

"haan mein to bhool gayi" she hit her head and took the land phone to call.

She called a restaurant and started ordering the food "ek daal makni…ek butter chicken …...ek saahi pannier…aur…do lassiya….or haan…ek ache paratha bhi….aur saat mein pyaas kaat kar laana"(cortesy:ghsp)

Maan saw her shocked "geet itna khana…hum dono keliye mangwaya?"(Cortesy: ghsp)

Geet replied innocently "kyun maan kum hai?...baad mein aur mangwalenge…wo kya hai na mujhe khaana waste karma acha nai lagtha"(cortesy : ghsp)

Maan was dumstruck by her answer.

"geet tum rooz itna hi khate hai?"

"haan maan kyun?"

"phir bhi tum aise ho?"

She innocently asked "kaise?"

"nothing forget it" maan shook his head and continued to his file.

Geet sat in the opposite seat,took another file and started reading it. They both immersed themselves when the food came. Atlast geet spoke breaking the silence " maan wont u eat the food?"

Maan sinally looks up from the file " ahh yes…..lets eat"

They both haves there lunch with some little chit chat and geet cleans the place when maan again takes his file.

"teekai maan sir to main chalti hoon…bohot kaam hai" geet spoke. Maan wondered for the usage of sir but said nothing " hmm".

Geet left his cabin and with in minutes both became busy in their respective works.

Days passed and they both got busy in their work. They spoke only few words.

"pinky can u plz give this file to maan sir…I m going out...will be back in an hour" said geet in hurry.

Pinky took the file from her and assured her "u don't worry geet I will give it to sir…you go."

"thanks pinky" saying this geet literally ran towards the parking lot and rode her scooty out.

Pinky went to mann's cabin and knocked the door.

" yes" maan answered.

Pinky came in and handed the file to him " sir geet asked me to give this file to you."

"ohh…where is she?"

"she went out sir…was in some hurry so gave this to me" said pinky.

"out? Where?" maan wondered "y geet is in hurry"

"I don't know sir..but she said she will be back in an hour" pinky replied and left the cabin.

Maan looked at geet's cabin once before he fell in his work.

After some time maan lifted is mind from the file and looked at geet's cabin and then to his watch.

"its more than 2 hours geet went… y dint she yet return?" maan thought.

"arhh maan tum bhi na…may be she went out for some personal work…leave it and do ur work" maan went back to his files and mails.

Some time passed and maan was disturbed by some one shouting high. She look up and saw geet in her cabin shouting at misha and misha trying to calm her.

He wondered why geet is shouting. He stood up to go to her cabin and enqire but at the same time he saw misha hugging geet inorder to calm her and took her out. Maan thought this is not the right tome to disturb them ans sat back in his chair lost in geet's thoughts.

After many days today he saw geet again being dull and disturbed but he dunno why. Today she dint even speak to him.

Maan thought " until now I tried many ways to bring by chearfull geet back. To make her happy but it only lasted short. Again and again she came back to her cold attitude whar ever I do. i should now know the real reason of her behaviour. I should know her past. I should know what happened to her in those 6 years. From the day she left delhi and till the day she came back. I should know what happened ion her life."

Maan thought for some time on how to know about geet's past and an idea struck in his mind "yes…that's it maan…"
