PART 13

Maan sat on his jeep and lukd at her.That cold look shattered him..it was like her eyes had the power to break his heart...but he had asked for it.He couldnt stay there for a second more and be an object of her hatred. He drove off quickly.He rushed through the busy road...crossing so many streets and drove far away on the outskirts of the city and stopped at the end of a cliff.He dipped his head on the steering...

FLASHBACK:
After Rajji's call Maan went happily to Armaan.He wanted to apologize for beating him & tell him that Geet is only his..she wanted to meet him & he would confess his love today itself.But as he reached near the door when he heard Armaan & Yash talking,
Armaan: ha Yash,Geet is no ordinary girl.She is that some one special...u know wat if Geet didnt come to my life i would never know the meaning of LOVE!!
Yash: that means Geet is your mysterious girl!
Armaan: Ha!

Maan was shattered when he heard that.He never thot that Geet would be the girl on whom Armaan was mad about.He had a feeling that it would be Ridhima..not today but since their childhood..thats why he never lukd at her in that way despite his playboy nature. But now..why Geet? Why would they both hav to fall for the same girl? Thats why Armaan had been always over protective about Geet! And they both were friends even before he saw her.In fact they were good friends.And what was he doin there in between them? Had he not entered her life she would have been in love with Armaan! And whats wrong in it? Armaan is a great guy unlike him who is a spoilt brat. Yes, what was i doin there? Making out with my best friend's love? Uff..that sounds disgusting! And the thot of her being with some one else gave his heart a burning sensation.But some where that was right..she deserves a better person..not him..yes i'm unworthy of calling that angel mine.Thats when he decided he needs to be hated..then only she will be able to move on..leaving a wreck like him behind... His heart beat raised,he was on cloud nine when she finally confessed her love! But he had prepared himself to be stone hearted! He had to break her heart only for her good.But it was him who was ripped apart..hurt more than her..when he rejected her..with all his love!
He couldnt bear that cold look from her.Thats why he ran away from her..or rather from himself...he lied there on the steering when a voice broke his thots,
"Maan,tum yaha ho" , he looked up to see Yash.
Yash was worried to see Maan in this state. Maan explained to him about all that happened.Yash was shocked 😲when he heard what Maan did to Geet and that too for Armaan..😲
Yash: how could u Maan? Tum aisa kaise..i mean Geet is in love with U aur rhe Armaan ki baat to wo..
Maan: bas Yash.Ab is bare me me aur koi baat nhe karna chahta.Mere liye mere usool rishto se badkar he.Armaan mera dost he aur mujhe apni dosti nibhani he.

With that he left on his jeep.As he went Yash banged his head on the bike!

Yash: OMG! Ye Maan kabhi puri baat nhe sunega kya? Does he even know what he have done?

FLASHBACK (CONTD..)
Armaan: Ha! Geet meri gf he aur tu meri biwi!
Yash:kya?
Armaan:😡abey sale raat ka utra nhe kya? Tune aise socha bhi kaise ki me Geet ke bare me aisa sochta hu?
Yash:to phir?
Armaan: Yash, i had been in love with Ridhima since our teens.But when i tried to be close to her,i felt that she is too haughty.I feared rejection! So i started fighting with her. And u know how we were.
Yash:yeah!
Armaan:then one day i met Geet.Her innocent smile & nature made me to approach her.And when she told me to give that boquet to some one whom you love from your heart, the only name that came to me was her, Ridhima! I secretly placed those boquets in front of her house.
Yash:so u were the mysterious man for her!
Armaan smiles.😊
Armaan: Then one day i askd, Geet why r u doin this job? It didnt pay that well and u have to put a lot of effort in it.
Geet: Armaan its not just for money! I love to be a messenger who helps to express love between people.

Armaan: But why do people need some one else to express their love!
Geet: coz many times tpeople hide their love becoz of their ego..or fear..
Armaan felt like someone just touched his conscience..his soul..
Geet: i hav a frnd.. She loves a guy..umm..childhood frnd nd all u know! But she couldnt tell him coz he is too arrogant.
Armaan:so u helpd her?
Geet: i want to but i cant.. She never told me who is that guy i dont know why?
Armaan: oh!
Geet: hey u can help me.She is also a doc in ur hospital..
A moment of silence & then both together :
Armaan:Ridhima😲
Geet: U! 😲
Thats it.Armaan took the bouquet and ran to her house & shouted, "I LOVE YOU RIDHIMAAA.."
Ridhima ran to him and hugged him.

Hum to chale the dost banne jaane kaha DIL MIL GAYE...

Yash(self-thot): Armaan Ridhima ka dil to mil gaya ab Maan aur Geet ka kya kare? Abhi ghar jata hu aur Armaan ko sab kuch bol dunga. Phir wo khud Maan ko sach bata dega.

Yash returned home.Armaan was sitting on the couch.
Yash: Maan ab tak nhe aya kya?
Armaan: akey chala gaya.
Yash:kaha?
Armaan:pata nhe.Kuch ajeeb behave kar rha tha. He said sorry to me,hugged me & left.
Yasha:tune usey roka kyu nhe?
Armaan:par kyu? Yash baat kya he?
Yash told him everything.Armaan was shocked to know all these. He felt bad that unknowingly he had been the reason to separate them!

Two days passed. Maan was no where to be seen.
Next morning,
Yash woke up when his phone rang.He answered yawning,
Yash:kaun?
Yash sprang up from his bed.
Yash:dadima ap is waqt!
Dadi: ha beta, i'm worried about Maan.He came her 2 days back.Kuch bol nhe raha..khata nhe..sota nhe..hua kya he akhir?
Yash then told her about all the MU.
Dadi:bas itni si baat? Ye Maan bhi na!
Yash:itni si baat?
Dadi:arey jab ye dono ek dusre se pyar karte he to phir problem hi kya he? Yash,ap ek kaam kariye, kisi bhi tarah Geet ko Khurana Mansion leke ayiye! Akhir hume bhi apni honewali bahu se milna he!
Yash:kya? Lekin kaise?
Dadi:wo hume nhe pata Apko jo help chahiye hum karenge.But hume Geet se milna he..
Yash:par dadi me..kaise...
Dadi: Yash,i WANT Geet in KHURANA MANSION,thats it.

She cuts the phone.

Yash: ye sare Khuranas aisey hi he kya? So adamant..oops sorry dadi!
Yash tu to phas gaya!

Ridhima was walkin from one end of the locker room to the other.Armaan's eyes followed her. Yash was watching all this drama & finally lost his patience!
Yash: arey yar tum log ye chalna-ghurna band karo aur kuch karo! I mean jaldi solution nikalo..
Ridhima:no no no mujse nhe hoga! Tum sab kuch sach kyu nhe keh sakte?

Armaan: Nhe Ridhima Maan aur Geet ka ek dusre se milna bohat zaruri...they themselves hav to clear this...

Ridhima : thats right.But me kaise ye sab??😕
Armaan:arey kya jaan itna bhi nhe kar sakti..See its so simple. U hav to convince Geet to come with us to Delhi for our engagement.Thats it!
Ridz:thats it? Phir usey KM me stay karana he ye keh ke ki wo mera ghar he! U realy thnk Geet vl buy al this?
Armaan: of course! Geet ko pata kaise chalega? Dadima convinced our parents to have the ceremony at KM itself. So wats the problm?
Ridz:aur Maan?
Armaan:usko to me waha jake dek lunga! Until then let Maan Singh Khurana be in the pain of losing his love! Akhir kitne ladkiyo ko tadpaya he! ( 😉 )
Ridz:wo sab to theek he Armaan par..wat if Geet nhe mani to?
Armaan(moving closer to her): Ridhima, kya tum itna nhe karoge unke liye? Ek taraf Geet jiski wajah se hume apna pyar mila he..aur Maan jo mere liye apne pyar ki Qurbani dene ja rha he...kya unke liye hum ye chota sa kam to kar sakte he na?
Ridz:hmm..
Armaan smiles & brings her in his embrace.Their eyes lock...ishq leta he kaisa imtihaa..

His lips brushed hers slowly. Yash cleared his throat & they straightened themselves.😳

Geet(smirks): Rajji.. Yash is a good guy,witty..fun to be with.Lekin bacha..tu apni di ki galti mat karna..Babaji ne hume kisi se koi umeed rakhne ka haq nhe diya.Me to jhel rhe hu par tujme itni takat nhe hogi..aur me tujhe aise nhe dek paungi..
Rajji hugs her weeping.
Geet: isliye ab hum pehle ki tarah rahenge. Mere liye tu aur tere liye me..
'to phir mere liye',Ridhima barges in.
Geet: kyu Armaan he na?
Ridz:aur tum? Kya me tumhare liye kuch nhe?
Geet:aisi baat nhe he.. Bas mera mann nhe..
Ridz: Geet no more xcuses! U r comin with me & thats final!
Geet:par..
Ridz:bas bas ab kuch nhe tum logo ki tckts bi bukd he..
Geet: lekin..
Ridz: Geeett...😡

And they flew to Delhi.

KHURANA MANSION

Geet was too lost in her talks that she didnt notice the huge K engraved on the gates of Khurana Mansion as their car passed by it.
As her feet touched the ground, Maan felt her presence.He closed his eyes!
Maan:kyu Geet? Kyu baar baar tum mere khayalo me a jati ho? Jitna tumse dur rhne ki koshish karta hu,tum utna hi mere paas ati ho.

Unaware of the place where she was, Geet felt comfortable.She was staying in the outhouse. Later Ridhima brought her to the mansion in the pretext of introducing Geet to her dadima...

Dadima had already worked on the masterplan.She removed all the photos of Maan that hung on the Mansion.Maan enquired her about the arrangements that had been goin on in KM during these days.She somehow managed to tell him that she was arranging some puja.
As Geet was about to enter, dadima stopped them.
Ridz: kya hua dadi?
Dadi:wo..haa itne dino baad meri beti ghar ayi he to socha arti utaru..
She takes the arti and let them in.Dadi seemed really pleased with Geet.Well,now its time to get things solved,so she purposefully brings the topic,
Dadi: waise Ridhima bete,apke wo frnd nazar nhe a rhe?
Ridz:kaun dadi?
Dadi(luking at Geet):arey wo Maan..Geet ap bhi mili honge na unse?
Geet just ignores the whole topic and says, "Dadima i likd ur house very much. Me ghumke ati hu.

As she left,
Ridz:to dadi kaise lagi apki honewali bahu?
Dadi:waise ek baat to he, ye Maan Singh Khurana ke choice to manna padega. Perfect!
And they giggled.😆

Maan was really frustrated.He couldnt get away with her memories.Instead of forgetting her, he started to feel her more as days passed by.
He decided to take out his frustation by doin tai-chi.He went to the terrace.

Geet was roaming all over the mansion & finally she reached the terrace.There were a lot of pillars..the curtains were dancing in the wind..And through she could see the bare upper back ofa well- toned man..he was performing martial arts...She moved closer,leaning behind a pillar. Her heart skipped a few beats when she realised it was him.She stood their lukin at him..his seductive..inviting body...that had always mesmerised her played its trick today also.She was lost in him..forgetting everything...God had made him so perfect,thot she as his body moved along with his steps..She was still gaping at him as a pigeon sat on his shoulder..and he still continued...its then he felt like someone was watching him...he turned his face sideways and asked,'kaun he waha?'
His manly voice brought her back to reality.Wat was he doin here? Last thing she wanted to do in her life was facing him again and that too like this.She ran from there...hiding from pillar to pillar..he could hear the sound of her anklets and his heart could feel her presence...he followed the sound...

Gumsum gumsum gupchup..gumsum gupchup...
Kehna hi kya...(imagine the song in this context)

MAANEET : KEHNA HI KYA SONG SEQUENCE

A moment of silence & then came back their senses..They immediately straightened themselves not able to look at each other, comprehending wat they just confessed to each other... Geet tried to leave when he blocked her by his hand,
Maan: tumne mujhe bataya nhe, tum yaha kyu ayi ho Geet?
Geet(in a cold voice): wo me Ridhima aur Armaan ke sath..engagement ke liye..
He moved back hearing that😲.He was hurt! Was it so easy for her? Did she change her mind so easily? And here he was havin so much pain! But sooner or later this is unavoidable..then why should he feel bad?
