He gently lifted his hand off her waist and pulled her hair away from her face. He stroked her cheek with his thunk but she was oblivious. she was fast asleep. Maan slowly replaced his arm with the pillow beside him and got up.

As much as it hurt him to leave his wife like this, he had to go. Before everyone woke up.

With one last look he took a step towards the window but something tugged at his hand.

"Where are you going?" Geet asked innocently.

"Geet, you know I have to go. If Tej comes back or someone walks by and sees us-"

"Please don't leave." Geet pleaded. She pulled his hand closer towards her and laced her fingers through.

Maan took a seat on the bed. "Don't make this harder than it already is."

Geet puffed and turned in the other direction. "Fine, leave. I don't care!"

Maan smiled and moved closer.

Geet could feel him getting closer and closer. The closer he got, the more her anger melted away.

Maan moved her hair aside and ran his nose up from the base of her throat to her earlobe.

Geet shuddered.

"I love you, Mrs Khurana." Maan whispered into her ear.

She gulped. "Well, I hate you."

"Hmmm, we'll have to do something about that won't we?" Maan said, still at her ear.

Even without looking back, Geet knew that familiar glint in his eyes. Uh oh.

Maan kissed the hand that was still laced with hers and slid away.

"Maan!" Geet cried as she turned back. "Maan?"

At that moment, Pammi walked into Geet's room and sat on the bed. Geet's eyes were still searching for Maan.

"Geet, I've been hearing you for a couple of days now." Pammi said and took the hand that Maan had kissed. "Every time you wake up, you're always screaming for him."

Geet looked down and Pammi slid her palm around her cheek. "I can understand what you're going through but Geet, I really don't know what to do. I want to help you but we've got to make this stop before anyone else finds out."

Geet shook her haid with her eyes still lowered.

"If you want to talk or anything, really, anything I can do to help, just let me know."

Geet shook her haid again and Pammi patted her on the cheek before leaving.

Geet took one more glance around the room and fell back on the pillow. She closed her eyes and couldn't help but wonder if it'd all been a dream.
