Geet saw maan and entered the lift quickly and pressed the 'close' button, praying to herself, haye babaji, please yeh lift bandh cardoo, nhi ta maan sir vee aajayenge! to her bad luck, in the nick of time, maan stopped the lift doors from closing by stepping his foot in purposely. margi geet muttered under her breath as she saw him.

For a few moments geet tried ignoring the presence of Maan Singh Khurana, but the silence was broken by his mountain of questions thrown onto her.

Cya huwa? geet tried looking absolutely clueless to what he was asking (eventhough she knew completely what he was talking about) kuch nahi. She was determined not to look at his question-full eyes, but to assure him that all is well, she gave him a quick 5 second glance and smiled at him lightly. Maan knew geet well and didnt believe a word of hers. Aaj achaanak full-sleeve suit kyu? geet knew that somebody was bound to ask her that question as the day was absolutely boiling and anybody wearing a full-sleeved suit was going to look silly. She had no choice but reply mujhe dhand lag rhi thi. she knew he wasnt going to buy that answer at all and the look on his face proved her right. Moving on to another question, he asked, voh larki... why did she say she was going to bring you a cream? because she wanted to. maan was getting frustrated with geet and her lack of correspondance. Voh cream cisliye thi? After a few seconds, geet replied because.. to stop me from ... getting wrinkles.! she blurted out the most unexpected answer and both their faces were shocked. cya!? geet began to joke... or nahi to cya! i dont want to end up with forhead lines like yours! geet couldnt control the laughter that was forcing to spill, so she let it out and laughed out loud, whilst maans anger was hitting the roof.

Geet! maan stepped towards her and grabbed hold of her arms,

ah! geet winced in pain as her arms were already covered in bruises and were wounded. sir please.. she looked at him pleadingly and then towards his grip on her arms, maan let go of her immediately and asked her what was wrong ...cya huwa geet? She looked up into his eyes, she saw worry in them.

To save her from any more of his questions, the lift doors opened. Geet took this oppertunity to escape.

As she was walking, maan came up to her from behind, geet mujhe batao cya huwa tumhe? maine cahaa na kuch nahi sir. she kept on walking. tell me geet. voh bas aise hee sir.. it's just a little sore.. bas. maan began worrying even more. why? oh sir! bas kuch nahi huwa!

By then geet had reached her door... please geet batao... she opened the door. i'll see you later sir. after smiling lightly, geet closed the door behind her. She did feel guilty for making maan get worried, but she thought to herself that it was for best as she knew he would just start having a go at her for being so careless.

Geet spent most of her day in her hotel room, finishing more paperwork and when she'd get tired she would occasionally turn on the huge telivision which was secured onto the wall infront of her bed. After a few hours passed, it was reaching 1pm and geet was getting hungry, so she ordered her food in the room.

She sat there eating slowly, trying not to feel the pain (although it was impossible), then she remembered last night, eating with Maan. The sweet thoughts gave her a smile.

As she was eating through a huge bowl of icecream,

Her mobile began ringing. She saw it was avni's number, geet happily took the call. They chatted away for ages and talked about the latest happenings (geet decided not to mention the accident this morning). As they were talking, the ice cream fell onto geets red suit. ah crap! kya huwa geet? meri ice cream gir gayi tu bi na geet! geet told avni shed call later as she had to wash her kameez.

Before she could go to the washroom, there was a knock on her door. She opened it to find Adhi. He told her that maan sir wanted to meet them in one hour. Adhi was sneezing a lot.. geet didnt feel like going to see maan sir yet, so she asked Adhi if he could say no. Adhi laughed the matter off and replied geet tumhi jaace cehdo maan sir co, tumhe pataa hain voh meri baat nhi sunte. after reluctantly agreeing, Geet forced herself to go over to maans room. She still had and icer cream stain on her clothes. Oh babaji! meri madat carna! After knocking onto his door and waiting a while, a smile sprung onto geet face as she didnt have to face maan.

She decided to go back to her room and she called him.. haan geet voh sir, i was thinking, can we meet in the afternoon rather than in an hour? geet.. please sir? and thats all it took... after a deep sigh, maan replied, acha teek hain, shyam co dinner by the pool side.. i'll inform adhi. thank you sir... geet? ji sir? sab teek hai? ji sir, see you later. bye. ok..

After going back to her room, geet changed into a simple purple coloured salwar kameez and to hide the wounds on her milky arms, she lengthened her duppata over them.

She slowly made her way to the back of the hotel, where maan had arranged for them to meet.

As she reached the poolside, geets mind was blown away by the beautiful view which spread over her eyes. She breathed in awe of the place.

After a few minutes of standing there looking at every part of the poolside with great detail, geets eyes finally caught maan sitting in one of the wooden benches. She made her way towards him. As soon as maan saw the walking angel, he automatically stood up and pulled the chair out for the beauty standing infront of him. umm thankyou sir. hmm maan could not say anything else as he was struck by the lightening of beauty brought by geet. Before he would forget, maan said adhis not coming. hmm. geet clearly didnt listen to maans voice as it reached her ears, but she reacted moments later... cya?! adhi nahi araha lekin cyu?? because he wasnt feeling well. geet thought to herself, why didnt i just make an excuse! barra chaalak nikla voh adhi ca abcha!

After geet was seated, they ordered their food. Geet sat quietly sipping her water and usually taking a bit from the continental food maan had ordered. Maan saw that geet wasnt behaving her usual bubbly, loud self today. geet tumhe cya huwa? maan asked as he finally crashed his fork onto his plate and leaned back in his chair as to show that he had given up his patience. cuch to nahi sir she continued playing with her food. geet bas caro ab, please just tell me geet thought that before anything got out of hand, she would escape from him quickly and in one slow motion geet placed her fork down and stood up. i think i should go now sir maan was not one to give up so easily either, so he too got up and before geet could walk away, he grabbed her arm. Geet let out an unintentional cry of pain due to maans grip on her bruised arm. She fell back and crashed into maans hard chest. Maan saw geet crying silently because of the pain he was unaware of, but before he could ask her anything, she ran away, however, her dupatta got stuck to maans button making it slide of her and her wounded, bruised arms were exposed

Geet had no idea what to do, she helplessly covered her front with her arms.

Maan came to geet holding the dupatta in his hands, then he saw her bruised body. geet..? maan was speechless.. he didnt know what to say to her. A million questions were rushing through his mind, but none came o his lips. He simple came over to her and draped the dupatta over her body.

Geet stood there not knowing what to say or do, absolutely motionless, then maan gently placed his hands over her shoulders and walked inside the hotel with her. As they were walking slowly, geets legs began aching alot so she began slowing down more and started using the wall for supprt, maan knew she was in pain bohot dard horaha hai? maan asked so calmy but worryfully, geet nodded in return gently. With the answer, maan let go of her shoulders and lifted geet in his arms in one quick movement.
