Chapter 5

Geet couldn't be normal all day. She kept regretting what she said to Maan earlier in the school. She couldn't even understand that how could she come up with so many things about him. She hardly knew him and here just because she was irritated with him, she kept blabbering random stuff. To think about it, it was all because of her addictiveness to daily soaps-WHY THE HELL I am so addicted to these soaps.(😆)

Geet- Mumma is right; I should stop watching these soaps. Just because of what I saw in that serial, I generalised every good-looking over-smart guy to be a guy fighting his insecurities and behaving in a dual-personality way!Oh..babaji what do I do!..Maan looked really upset and he didn't come back to class also..oh..I might have hurt him!..how do I make up for it!

Next day in school!

Geet had decided to talk to Maan, no matter what! She reached the class and saw that Maan was chatting normally with his friends. He didn't say hi to her nor teased her unlike other days. She tried talking to him but he plainly ignored her. That made feel Geet worse and she told Prachi all about it during the interval!

Prachi-Geet, how could you say all that!

Geet- I know I made a mistake,but you also don't get angry yar..I don't know what to do..will he even listen to me now?

Prachi-you have to ask his forgiveness..Maan is a nice guy.He never behaved rudely with you.He treated you very normally everytime.Whether you admit or not,you really had fun with him and I have never seen you so open in class before. He never behaved as a "typical DUDE" in your language would have done. He was always nice to you and not even once he made you feel like you were any less than him! He always joked with you and irritated you but all in the fun way..he never crossed his limits but..

Geet interrupts-yes,yes..I know but please stop this ..don't make me feel more guilty than I already am!..

Bell rang and everyone got seated. Head Boy came in the class and told that their teacher was busy and won't be coming for this period but they should not leave the class and he left. Geet asked Gaurav to switch seats as she wanted to talk to Maan.

Geet-Maan

Maan*angrily*-yes,Geet..what?

Geet*in one go without taking a breath😆*-I am really sorry Maan, I don't know from where all that crap came out. I do understand that I shouldn't have said anything like that. Moreover, I seriously don't think like that about you. To be frank, I haven't really thought about you at all to come up with anything regarding your personality. Its just that I was irritated and all that stuff came out of nowhere!..I made a mistake and I am truly sorry about it! Please forgive me!

Maan was angry. Why wouldn't he? Geet type casted him to be some attention-seeking jerk. It wasn't his fault that he was good-looking and fun-loving and that girls liked him. He agrees that he has an attitude but he is Maan Singh Khurana afterall. He does behave nicely and gentleman types with girls but than again he is MSK!.But he doesn't know why he behaves differently with Geet. Why he doesn't feel the need to be good or bad in front of her. He infact knows that he sometimes behave like a kid with her and again he don't know why!..But that no ways mean that he pretends to be someone he is not in front of everyone else!..Not at all!..To think of it, it's the other way round, he just behaves differently with Geet and with everyone else he is different!..Now what is all this crap about real-self ,..argh..this girl is irritating me! I am having a head-ache thinking about it all!Ok..I agree that one or two things she said made sense,but apart from that it was all utter non-sense! Moreover she judged me just too fast by the outlook when she hardly knew me.

Geet could see Maan thinking something and from his face expressions, it was clear that he was angry!

Geet-Maan, I know you are angry and you should be but please understand me. I really didn't mean all that from heart. I can never think of hurting anyone and moreover you are a friend. I know we are not best of friends or even good friends yet, but I don't even think about hurting people I hate,so..argh..all I am wanting to say is whatever I said was bullshit and I know that and I am really sorry!

Maan-But if you didn't think like that about me,how come you came up with all that!..its impossible..its not kind of stuff that comes out of nowhere..ofcourse you had it in your mind!

Geet-OK,..that stuff came out of somewhere but it was not because I thought about you like that!

Maan-you will say that now!

Geet-no,really,..I mean it!..OK I will explain,but please promise you won't tell anyone!

Maan doesn't say anything.

Geet-Ok,..see I am too much into a drama on TV and the main lead of that is a "typical dude"..he behaved way too rudely with the innocent-sweet girl who loves him truly just because she is not that good-looking!..I was very irritated on him and was thinking about the drama only and how these "typical good-looking famous guys" behave, when you started irritating me yesterday..It was all about that guy that was going in my head and it came out on you like that!

Maan was in for a treat. His expressions changed from anger 😡to surprise 😲to naughtiness.😉😆

Maan-so it was because of that drama-guy

Geet-ya

Maan-and not because you felt that way for me

Geet is irritated😛!

Maan-hey Gaurav, do you know Geetika LOVES someone!

Gaurav is surprised and some girls standing nearby also come to their seat!

All-REALLY??.>WHO??

Maan-aw..Geetika why don't you tell them!

Geet-guys , he is just kidding!*gives him a deadly look😆*

Maan-oh no,..don't be shy..allright..I will tell them..😛Geetika is truly in love with some drama-guy..she even dreams about him in the class..

Geet-MAAN and stands up to hit him and Maan just escapes and continues with his teasing!

Maan*trying to escape her behind chair*-and that guy is so rude,..he upset Geetika with his behaviour..aw..and she even cried because of him!..because he didn't understand TRUE LOWE!🤣

All this whole Geet was trying to catch Maan and Maan was running behind different chairs and teasing her. Gaurav and other girls thoroughly enjoyed it too!..😆

After the bell rang which meant that free period was over, both Geet and Maan came back to their respective seats running out of breath because of their cat and mouse chase😉!..Geet slightly hit Maan on his hand and he chuckled!..Geet forwarded her hand and said- Friends?..Maan smiled and forwarded his hand and nodded "Friends!"

Geet-ok,..so you behave all gentleman types in front of other girls but I have seen your real-self and with your face expressions I can tell you with 100% percent confidence that how irritated you feel sometimes when they are talking trash to you!You just pretend to be goody-goody –listening to what they say types but I bet that you don't even listen to 1 word properly of what they say! Your entire attention is on the other guys who are watching you with girls and getting jealous rather than whom you are talking to..In short, you just want to prove to others that you are a DUDE!..You don't have any close friends and you don't really care about your GF!..you are with her probably because you want to be talked about among people and tagged as"DUDE who dates a Senior!"..You think too much of yourself and you very well know that! I don't get what will you gain by putting all this fake-ness in front of all! What should matter is not what others think or will think about you..what matters is what you think about yourself and who you really are!!
