Updateeee : Part 6
Ankita was astonished that how could one average-weighted person eat so much. She just sat there staring at him like a fool.
Manav: "Ab mujhe ghoorna band karein gi aap? (raises his eyebrow)"
Ankita: "Umm, mujhe sirf ek plate gol gappe aur 7up chahiye'"(smiles)
Just when the food arrived, they started eating non stop. When Manav was about to take another bite, he saw that a kid who was serving had dropped the drinks because another person had pushed him. The owner came and slapped the kid on his face, making him cry. Manav at first felt a lump in his throat but then eased his discomfort.
Ankita: "tsk tsk tsk' Bechara bacha, uski koi galti hi nahi thi'" (takes a sip of her soda)
Manav: "Main abhi aata hoon'"
Ankita: "Kahan ja rahe ho?" (confused)
Manav motions a cigarette to her, making her frown.
Ankita (after Manav leaves) : "God! Yeh smoker bhi hai? Playboy, self-obsessed, annoying aur uppar se smoker bhi? (scowls) Kahan marrva dia, Harshu?!"
As it was night, the crowd was not exactly friendly due to which she left her table in search of Manav. She did not feel secure over there. She entered a dark lane where she heard Manav's voice. As soon as she saw what he was doing, she was traumatized. She felt like the earth was going to tear apart or the sky may shatter. Extremely Dramatic, but what else could anyone expect in Manav's case. He was consoling that sobbing kid.
Manav (sits on his feet): "Dekho, tum bhi jaante ho aur main bhi jaante hoon ke ronay ka koi faida nahi. Is liye (takes out his wallet) yeh lo kuch paise aur ja kar kisi school ka uniform khareed lo. Parhai ke liye sirf uniform ki zarurat hoti hai.(winks)"
Kid: "Yeh toh 3 idiots wali film ka dialogue hai na?" (innocently)
Manav: "Nahi yeh mera dialogue hai woh aamir khan ne mujhe kehte hue sun liya tha is liye apni movie mein daal liya.(Ankita chuckles) " '.."Acha, yeh sab choro, paise le kar kuch kha lo ja kar ya kuch khareed lo apni pasand ka. Khush raho! "
Kid: "Thanku." (shakes his hand with Manav)
As Ankita sees Manav slowly turning to return, she scurries back to her place, trying to pretend that as if nothing happened.
Manav sees ankita smiling at him : "Tumhe kya hua? Kisi ne tumhari sar par danda toh nahi maar dia jo mujhe smile karke dekh rahi ho?"
Ankita: "Nahi bas. Tum kha lo, phir hum chalein gai ghar." (smiles)
'Beeru, yeh pakka multiple personality disorder wala case hai varna 10 minute main koi bhi Mogambo se Thakur nahi ban sakta!' he thought
It had been a while since the dark sky had replaced the previous one. The chattering of birds had come to a halt and isolation had taken over. Although it was 10 pm only the place where Ankita lived was an isolated one which became more isolated on a working day after 6pm. Manav had insisted Ankita to let him drop her to her place. In the car,
Manav: "Itna sannata kyun hai, bhaee?" (driving)
Ankita: "Umm kuch nahi' "
Throughout the whole journey, they both did not utter a word from their mouth. After what felt like eternity they arrived at Ankita's house. Ankita got out of the car nd started walking towards the door, when she turned around to wave a 'good bye' to Manav.
Manav smiled and waved back to her, and waited for her to go inside so that he could leave.
Harshad had picked Nupur from Mayank's house at 8pm and was driving her to her place.
Harshad (while driving): "Toh kaisa raha meri Nupz ka din?" (smiles)
Nupur: "Acha tha' DDLJ dekhi 18th time! Hahaha' I know, I know bohot zyada dafa dekhi hai maine lekin kya kar sakte hain DIL HAI KE MAANTA NAHI" (in a dramatic way)
Harshad: "Tu kabhi nahi sudhrey gi' Waise main toh yeh soch'" (interrupted by Harshad's cell fone ringing)
Harshad: "Hello?"
Mayank: "Hi Harshad. Nupur ko phone do gey please, important baat hai" (he hands the cell to Nupur)
Harshad: "Is ke paas mera number kaise aaya? Pooch na???" (eagerly)
Nupur (gesticulates): "Oh hi.. Phone kaise karna parha?" (confused)
Mayank: "woh actually mujhe tumhe yeh batana tha ke meri dadi hamari engagement par nahi aa payi thi kyunke unki tabyat kharab thi, is liye unhe hum se ab milna hai'"
Nupur: "Haan toh, jab koi function wagaira ho ga toh mil lein gei"
Mayank: "nahiii yahi toh urgent baat hai. Maa ne aunty se baat kar li hai aur kal ke tickets book kar liye hai. We are going to Simla, subha ki 10am baje ki flight se'. Tum apne doston ko bhi la sakti ho' Wahan hi holi celebrate kare gai' Parents nahi aa rahe kyunke dadi ne sirf hum dono ko bulaya hai'"
Nupur (shocked and confused at the same time): "Ummm okayyyy' Main Harshad aur Ankita ko le kar aa jaon? Ohk ill make sure ke hum 9am tak airport par hon.."
Mayank: "Okay. Good night Nupur."
The moment Nupur reaches home, she tells Harshad and Ankita everything and they agree to accompany her. Their parents were very fond of Nupur so they allowed HarAnki for the trip.
Next Morning, Mayank, Taani and Manav were waiting for Nupur and her friends at the airport. As soon as Nupur, Harshad and Ankita arrived, all of them went to get checked in at the counter.
Manav (purring in Nupur's ear): "Bhabhi, I get it ke pappu aapka bestfriend hai likin woh apni girlfriend ko kyun le kar aaya hai?"
Nupur: "Umm girlfriend kaun?? Oh woh (points to anki)? Woh toh uski behen aur meri dusri bestfriend hai.."
Manav: "Ohhh' (raises an eyebrow) Nupz, please batao gi ke usko kaise larke pasand hain?...."
He kept asking all details about Ankita' Well, something suspicious was definitely going on in his head'
After a while all of them got seated in the airplane. Taani and Harshad had seats next to eachother, ones which were nearer to the window. There were 4 seats in the middle, Mayank sat in the corner, next to him was Manav and then Ankita. Nupur sat on the other corner.
Harshad: "Hi, Im Harshad" (smiles)
Taani (annoyed): "Good for u.. (to Manav) Bhai, can u exchange seats with me?"
Manav was sitting next to Ankita and had planned to start his mission from the plane so he answered a 'No' to Taani. Harshad then realized that Taani was Manav's sister, which relaxed him a bit but the question was 'WHY DID IT MATTER TO HIM WHO TAANI DATED?'
'Yaar, make a move.. Naam pooch. Chal magazine ke liye pooch' nahi nahi purana ho gaya hai yeh technique' Lets ask her to open the window.' He thought
The moment he looked at her, she was fast asleep. The plane had departed 15 mins before so there was plenty of time for the arrival. Harshad took out a magazine out of the seat pocket and started skimming. He then saw an interesting piece of poem.
Beautiful woman,
come out and amuse yourself
reveal your inner treasures.
The sparkle in your eyes,
the natural swing in your walk,
you radiate excitement and enthusiasm.
You need no latest fashion,
No expensive hair cuts,
No blinding big accessories.
You glow in your passions,
passionate in your pursuits,
you know what you are made of.
You are not easily bothered,
by the mindless opinions of others,
you know very well where you want to go.
you are a joy to watch,
an inspiration to others,
your pure soul an endless marvel.
Beautiful woman,
let your brilliance shine through,
your eyes speak of true inner beauty.
He was highly impressed by the poem. He tried to find the author's name but it was anonymous. He really liked the idea of encouragement and hope. Not many women are this buoyant about their lives. He thought this poem was admirable although it was very simple, yet it had an inner story to it which Harshad was curious to find about.
Ankita had been waiting to get in the plane as she wanted to go to the bathroom. She had this problem of not going to the washrooms which were crowded. She immediately ran to the toilet and soon after her departure, Manav also went to the toilet which was next to the ladies' one in which Ankita had gone.
Nupur wanted to talk to Mayank but he was sitting next to Manav who would always interrupt them. She had to tell Harshad something so she went to him. He was sitting next to Mayank.
Then a surprising turbulence occurred in the flight. That caused Nupur to fall on Mayank's lap, Taani's head shifted from her seat to Harshad's shoulder and Manav/Ankita bumped into eachother while getting out of the washroom.
Mayank could not shift his eyes from Nupur's radiant face. Her cheeks blushed the color of a red sauce which made Mayank smile. Her eyes were so deep yet so playful and childish that he found himself staring at her. There was one more jhatka which made Nupur hold onto his collar tightly, slightly touching the nape of his neck. They were never so close to eachother. Mayank had a firm grasp on her waist and she on his collar. They looked like an inseparable ribbon. Nupur tried to get up but was unbalanced so she came even closer to Mayank. Mayank was totally lost in the sight. He slowly traced his finger from her cheek to her forehead and tucked in the strand of her hair. She blushed even harder and her heart skipped a beat.
The moment Taani's head shifted to Harshad's shoulder, He instantly looked at her. She was looking ever beautiful, extremely innocent yet mature. Harshad felt the need to smile when he saw her. He observed each and every expression of her. He then realized that he was attracted to a girl who he didn't even talk to. When Harshad tried to focus on reading, she grabbed Harshad's arm and put it under her head. She was smiling all the way and held onto his hand. He felt electricity running through his body when she touched his arm and then grasped his hand. He felt awfully attracted to her. The criminal was fully oblivious of her crime, the crime of pulling a person towards her with a great force.
Ankita and Manav had come out at the same time. The turbulence caused Manav to bump into Ankita. To make them steady Manav unintentionally cornered ankita to a wall. They were standing next to the toilets at the time of turbulence, extremely close to eachother. Manav's hand was placed on Ankita's hand, firmly, making her uncomfortable. There was an inch less gap between them. Manav at first looked at the floor immediately but then was caught in a strong gaze. He had never seen Ankita so closely. She had this milky, goldenness skin which was occupied by a splash of red color particularly on her cheeks. Manav did not even blink his eyes. Ankita, being a little uncomfortable, stared at the floor but Manav continuously ogled at Ankita. He tightened his grasp on her hand making her shriek. When he realized what he was doing, he abruptly increased the space between them, backing out. Then came another jhatka which scared Ankita due to which she moved closer to Manav, holding his hand. He became alert instantly and couldnt stop smiling at her childish behaviour. She was scared of a flight turbulence? Quite lame for a 22 year old, but Manav thought it looked cute on Ankita.
'What the hell! Main yeh kya soch raha hoon? Ek larki ke bare main aisa? Puh lease! Mere liye larkiyaan sirf time paas hain. Chal ab peechay hat' ' He thought to himself.
He couldn't move, he liked being close to her!
