My binoculars on

This song(Nosy Neighbors by Akon) was being played in Manav's room, it was 9 am i.e time for college but he still was undressed. Manav with a pair of binoculars in his hands was staring at the girl who lived next door and was changing in her room. He was enjoying the sight until Mayank came in his room.
Mayank (hits on his head making him fall from the chair): "Yeh kya ho raha hai? Tumhe college nahi jana?" (raises his eyebrows)
Manav: "nahi nahi bhai main toh parh raha tha' math ke figures.." (bites his tongue)
Mayank (looks at the binoculars and then at the window): "Math ke figures ya larkiyon ke?(narrows his eyes) Tum mein thori si bhi sharam nahi hai? Raat ko kitne baje tak jaage thai?"
Manav: "Sirf 4 baje tak.(smiles) Mera chore, aap kya kar rahe thai, raat ko?(grins)"
Mayank: "Kya main? Main kya kar raha tha. (shrugs hi shoulders) Main toh fauran soh gaya tha'" (folds his arms while looking at the floor)
Manav: "Haan haan. Sotay waqt kya kya bol rahe thai.(smirks) Nupur, Nupur, Nupur??huh?"
Mayank (becomes alert): "Huh? Maine aisa kuch nahi bola! (or did i? he thought)"
Manav: "ahahaha mazak kar raha hoon bhai. Chill, Nupur ka naam le kar aapki shakal par baara kyun baj jate hain?"
Mayank: "Acha bas. None of your business. Ja kar tayyar ho, college jana hai tumhe."
Manav: "Oho, ofcourse bhai mera business kaise ho sakta hai, woh toh aap samhaalte ho.(winks) Aur main tayyaar toh hoon ga lekin college ke liye nahi. Main college dair se jaon ga, who bhabhi aa rahi hain na, is liye."
Mayank: "Acha. Achi baat hai, main bhi hotel nahi ja raha aaj.(Manav stares at him) I mean maine chutti li hai kyunke kal raat thak gaya tha na aur neend bhi nahi poori hui. Aur tumhari liye achi baat hai' pheww"(gulps)
The bright but intense rays made contact with Nupur's vanilla scented skin and woke her. She looked as ever beautiful in her white satin nighty. She recalled last night's events which took place in her room. This reminisce forced her lips to form a curve in their own wonderful way. 'Arghh, if mamma hadn't called Mayank then' then what, Nupur? Kya hota? Kuch bhi nahi. Nahi'. Main thori aur dair Mayank ke saath time spend kar paati.' She thought and smiled at the thought.
Nupur: "Crap, 9 40 ho gaye, Manav se milne jana tha aur technically Mayank se bhi. Oh God! Shut up Nupur. Mayank ne tujhe nahi bulaya, Manav ne bulaya hai."(Talks to herself)
This was the day when Taani had to submit her poem to the Magazine editor. It was the first time ever that she was performing any other task than studies. She had awakened early in the morning so she left for the office at 9. It was her red letter day and she had placed her best effort in writing an influential poem. One that would inspire, tell and advice the non-working women about the outside world.
On the other hand Nupur arrived at the Malhotra's and Mayank opened the door. He was buttoning up his blue collar shirt. The moment Nupur saw him, she gasped. He looked extremely cute in a white vest. He had shaved and there was some shaving crme on his cheek. Nupur without thinking, compelled her hand to remove the cream from his cheek. As soon as her delicate finger touched his cheek he looked up and started staring at her. Nupur blushed when she realized she had gasped too loud, which caused Mayank to grin. There was already adequate amount of awkwardness between them when suddenly Manav jumped between them.
Manav (raises both of his eyebrows): "Yeh kya ho raha hai, bhaiyya yeh kya ho raha hai??"
Mayank (breaks the gaze): "Kuch nahi main toh bas darvaaza kholne aaya tha."
Mayank then leaves to get changed while Manav takes Nupur to his room.
Nupur: "Manav, tum bohot pagal ho tumhe pata hai?."(smiles and taps him on his head)
Manav: "Thank you for the wonderful compliment bhabz." (winks)
Two hours passed and they were still chatting away nonstop. Giggling and gossiping, they both were having utter fun when Mayank entered Manav's room.
Mayank: "Manav, Tujhe college nahi jana tha kya?" (smiles and gesticulates that he needs some time alone with Nupur)
Manav (his eyes widen): "Jee, bhai main ja hi raha tha." (Nupur had her back to Mayank so she turned to look at him.)
Nupur: "I should also leave."
Mayank (abruptly): "Tum kyun ja rahi ho?" (bites his tongue)
Nupur: "Huh?"
Mayank: "I mean, acha hai thori dair baatein kar le gai hum dono."
There was an icy cold vanilla milkshake in Harshad's hand while he was sitting on his Prado. He was sucking it from the straw like he had never drunk milkshake before. Well, Harshad always had food like he was having it for the first and the last time. Ankita was sleeping on his shoulder and at the same time, drooling on him. Both were lost in their own worlds until Harshad's shoulder became wetter.
'Abey, yeh baarish kya sirf kandhay par ho rahi hai aaj?' he thought. He looked at ankita and then at his shoulder which made him shriek loudly.
Harshad: "Chee chee chee!! Aye Ankita (points at her)Tujhe aur koi jaga nahi mili apna xtra paani phekne ke liye jo tu mere kandhay ko ek sukha hua garden samhaj kar paani dene lagi?!"
Ankita(wipes her face): "Huh? Abbey harshu kyun paka raha hai?" (yawns)
Harshad: "Tu ne mujhe woh kyun bola jo mujhe lagta hai tu ne bola?" (narrows his eyes)
Ankita: "Kyun subah subah ko paka raha hai, Harshu? (rubs her eyes) Ohhh'. Toh kya hua harshu tera nickname hai?" (teases him)
Harshad: "Dekh Anki tumne mujhe ek aur dafa yeh bulaya toh main tujhse kabhi bhi pakka promise baat nahi karun ga!" (makes a puppy dog face, folds his arms and turns around)
Ankita (hugs him from behind): "Sorry??(smiles) Promise dobara na bolne ki koshish karun gi'"
Harshad (in a childish tone) "Acha sahi hai'." (brings his cheek forward towards ankita and she gives him a small peck on his cheek.)
Harshad: "Thank you." (grins showing his teeth)
Manav had arrived at the campus and was flirting with his physics lab partner who was a big nerd. He was just trying to make her complete his assignment when he saw Harshad and Ankita acting all lovey dovey. Rapidly, a fury engrossed his whole mind but just for a mini second but then all he could say was 'Oho, yeh iski gf hai' Ab mazah aaye ga. Kisi na kisi tarha pappu ko toh main rula kar rahoon ga' he thought and smirked.
Ankita's teacher had given the students an assignment to act as an intern to their seniors for a first practical experience in the field of engineering where making things matter rather learning from the book. They had to start from the same day, this assignment was to be completed in 1 week and in the end, a report must be drawn by the student, stating what he had observed in constructing a particular object. Ankita already had her bro as her partner due to which she hadn't searched and chilled out the whole day. In the end, when all her lectures were over she went to Harshad to tell him about the project.
Ankita: "Haan, toh tu meri help karne ko tayyaar hai, rite?"(Chewing a gum)
Harshad: "Ummm, actually im already booked."
Ankita: "What?!! Tu apni behen ko chor kar kisi aur ki madad kare ga! U are soooo selfish!"
Harshad: "Main tere wait kar raha tha, Anki, par tu aayi hi nahi. Mujhe laga tujhe koi aur partner mil gaya ho ga is liye"
Ankita(talking to herself): "crap! W*H am I gonna do! Teacher se baat karni ho gi."
After talking to the teacher, she realized that there were only 3 senior guys left. Two were gays and a couple. She could definitely not work with a gay couple, it would be annoyingly weird and the third one was worse, Manav Malhotra. 'Did that guy even attend college on a daily basis?' she thought. Then she went to do the most difficult, blood boiling, vein bursting thing of her life. Asking Manav for help.
Manav(wolf whistled when anki came towards him): "Aaj Mausammm, bemaan hai bara, bemaan hai aaj mausam' Waah aaj chand kahin aur se nikla hai kya jo aap khud apne senses mein ho kar mere paas chalti hui aa rahi ho??" (smirks)
Ankita: "Khatam? Tum nautanki karne se kabhi baaz nahi aao ge na? tumhe circus mein hona chahiye."
Manav: "Kaunsa wala? Jo tum own karti ho? Jo bhi bolna hai, jaldi bolo mere paas zyada time nahi hai. Im a very busy man. (Gives a smug)
Ankita: "Mujhe bhi apna time tumhare saath waste karne ka shauk nahi hai. Listen, mujhe tumhe assist karna parhay ga, mere physics ke assignment ki wajah se. Tum jo annual exam ke liye project create karo gai us mein mujhe tumhe help karni hai. As in taking notes, etc."
Manav: "Sahi hai.(Ankita gets shocked) Lekin ek shart par. Tumhe mera koi kaam karna parhay ga."
Ankita: "Anything!"
At Mayank's place, Mayank had switched on the tv to watch something as the silence between them was awfully awkward. He was browsing when Nupur suddenly caught a glimpse of Shahrukh Khan singing 'Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana". She abruptly shouted at Mayank to put on DDLJ.
Mayank (highly fascinated by her excitement): "Tumhe yeh movie bohot pasand hai?"
Nupur: "Haan! Srk kitna cute aaya tha!! Ufff!" (blushes)
Mayank: "Toh tum sirf larkon ke liye movies dekhti ho?" (a little disappointed)
Nupur: "Nahiii' Goodlooking larkon ke liye'. Dekho kitne silky baal hai? Hayee"
Mayank couldn't help but notice his hair in the mirror which weren't exactly silky. He kept moving his fingers through his hair to smoothen his shabby look a bit.
Nupur: "Aur yeh dekho kitne cute dimples hain.."
He smiled continuously in front of the mirror like an idiot. There were dimples present. He was sooo glad, surprisingly.
Nupur: "Itnaaa cute, januuuu lag raha hai! Yummy. Bilkul ek lollipop jaisa."
Mayank stared at her open eyed; he was astonished by Nupur's behaviour. While Nupur on the other hand was so lost in the movie that she actually didn't realize what she was babbling.
Manav had started making a solar car, atleast a minor version of it in the beginning of the year but then he got distracted by e few things which sucked out the passion of making things from him. He and Ankita had stayed in college to start making a blueprint of the solar car. When they were finished, it was evening.
Manav: "Yaar, bohot bhook lagi hai! Woh dekho theila!(point towards a dhaba) Chalo kuch khate hain'"
Ankita: "Please, main? Woh bhi tumhari saath? Kabhi nahi. Kisi ne mujhe tumhari saath dekh liya'" (interrupted)
Manav: "Mummy daddy se bigair pooch kar aayi ho, beta??"
Ankita: "nahi! Kisi ne mujhe tumhari saath dekh liya toh meri faltu main bezati ho jaye gi..main ja rahi hoon"
Manav: "Soch lo. Main abhi bhi tumhari project partner hoon aur abhi bhi 6 days bachi hai'(starts to leave) Im the best, Im the best, Im the best, oh I am the best!"
Ankita(stomps her feet on the ground and follows him): "Arghh!! Kahan phas gayi main, God!!"
As they get seated in the dhaba, Manav starts to order.
Manav: "O ji uncle, ek palak paneer, chicken tikka, dal makhni, aloo mutter, chana masala aur coke!"
Dhaba uncle: "bhai, coke nahi hai shayad, pepsi chalay gi?"
Manav: "Nakhli paise chalay gai? Tum kyun chup baithi ho, order nahi karna?" (to Ankita)
Ankita: "Yeh sab tumne apne liye magvaya hai? (he nods) ummm'."
Harshad wanted to meet Nupur as he hadn't talked to her since one day which is quite a lot. He had called her place but her mom told him she had left her cell phone at home and was gone to Mayank's place.
Harshad: "Acha phir aunty main hi nupz ko ghar chor dun ga. Theek hai? Thanks aunty."
While he was driving to Mayank's place, Taani had just arrived home. It was a busy day for her. First the article submission, than her hectic back to back classes. She was hell tired. When she was walking towards her garden, there was some noise coming from the neighbor's place. Ayaan quickly ran towards Taani and hugged her. Ayaan was a 6 year old kid who was Taani's bestest friend and neighbor's son. He had once again performed a naughty task to annoy his sister.
Ayaan's mother: "Taani beta, plz thori dair mein ise andar bhej dena, kal school hai na. (to her son) Aur tu bhi aa jana, jab dekho shaitaani karta rehta hai!" (Ayaan sticks out his tongue to his mother)
Taani: "Ayaan, aap kyun apni mamma ko tang karte ho? Itni achi toh hain who"
Ayaan: "Hmmm bohot achi. Main toh unko Mother Teresa bulata hoon"(laughs)
Taani (smiles): "Toh batao, aaj tumhari school kaisa tha? Maine jo aapko math ke addition aur subtraction wale sums sikhaye thai woh aapko class main aa gaye thai kya?"
Ayaan: "Taani di di. Aapko pata hai, aunty ne naa mujhe very good bhi bola aur star bhi banaya. Yeh dekho, yahan mere haath par." (innocently)
When Harshad got out of his car, he instantly saw Taani and the kid conversing. He was so shocked. He couldn't believe his eyes. Did he really saw the same woman thrice in these 3 previous days.
'Main pagal ho raha hoon. Yeh larki toh who kaali billi ki tarha mere peechay parh gayi hai, Jahan jaon wahi aa jati hai' Yeh bacha kaun hai? Bhai ho ga probably' Kitne cute behen bhai hain, na? (smiles) crap! Dekha, jab bhi isko dekhta hoon, mera maansik santulan kharab ho jata hai'.. Shit, whats mansik santulan !!! arghhh mera dimag sahi wala kharab ho gaya hai'.' He thought.
He was so mesmerized by the sight. She looked so caring and sweet. 'wow, har baar yeh larki apne koi na koi kaarnamo se mujhe surprise kar deti hai. I mean, aaj kal larkiyaan bacho se kitna chirti hain, meri behen ko tak bache as such nahi pasand, lekin yeh, is mein kuch toh baat hai'. Bachon se ghul mil jana, nature ke bare main sochna'.. im impressed!"
