Nupur woke up in the dead of night to grab something to drink. The light coming from Mayank's side table caught her eyes. She moved to check it and saw his mobile was flashing.

She felt it odd for somebody to be calling so late and thought it maybe important.

Nupur breathed out his name softly. But he only changed sides and kept on sleeping.

Nupur had no other choice but to pick the phone up.

Nupur: " hello."

"hello hello! By the way who is this?"

Nupur was taken aback by the friendly tone on the other side of the phone but nevertheless replied, " errmmm.. I am… Mrs . Mayank Sharma.

Nupur felt a warmth radiate through her body as she said those words.

" than I am talking to the right person! Wese I hope I am not disturbing you people."

Nupur: " no…ermm.. who is this?"

"array han.. Mayank jee ne to bataya he nahe hoga mere mutaliq! Hi I ma Samrat.. you can call me Sam. My all friends do , and your husband is my best friend."

Nupur: " oh…hi Sam."

Sam: " wese hai kahan wo?"
Nupur: " wo?"
Sam: " haha! Mayank."

Nupur : " oh! Aik minute hold karna Sam. Mein abhe uthate hoon usay."

Sam: " take your time. Am use to waiting. Besides your husband is pretty hard to wake."

Nupur couldn't help but smile at that.

She turned around woth the intention of waking Mayank. Mayank was lying on his side with his hair falling on his forehead. Nupur had a sudden urge to touch his hair and push them back.

She noted he slept like a child..his face portraying innocence ..

Nupur: " Mayank…"

Nupur held out her hand and touched his arm lightly. She realized his arm was pretty muscular as if he had spent a lot of time doing physical hard work. It struck her then how little she knew about this man who was now to be her husband..he was a complete mystery to her… she was suddenly aware of a pair of eyes on her…

Mayank was sleepy but was nonetheless aware of Nupur's hand lying on his arm. He was also aware of the beautiful picture his wife portrayed with her hair falling on her shoulders. Still in sleep he lightly pushed her towards himself.

Nupur landed beside him. He enveloped her in his arms. She felt herself blush.

Maynak: " Isnt this a little late for checking out your husband?"

Nupur felt herself go red all over. She felt like a kid caught looking at her favorite chocolates.

Nupur pulled herself into a sitting position.

Nupur: " I ..ermmm.. ( and then she remembered about the call and groaned) oh no! your friend Sam called."

She handed him the mobile and quickly got out of bed.

Mayank let her go with a strange feeling of loss.

Mayank: " hello"
Sam: " Itna romance?"
Mayank caught the mischievous tone.

Mayank : " Sam…"

Sam: " okay I will get back to business so you can carry on with pleasure. I knew you were an idiot and too rude for your own good but I always felt it must be a mistake commited by nature but dude this is too much! you have memory problems! We need to see a doctor. You seem to forget about your best friend."

Mayank got the sarcastic tone in his voice and smiled.

Mayank: " And your need to stick to one place so people can locate you on the world's map. By the way which planet were you residing in? Ria's? or what was she called.. errmmm… oh yeah … Ash… or.."
Sam: " you made you're your point dude. Doctor canceled. Yar you know Ria na! She wanted me to meet her parents and took me to some idiotic island where there were no signals and…"

MayanK: " cut the crap dude! Tell me when do I get to see you?"

Sam: " haha! typical Mayank! In the morning. I will be taking first flight. So I will reach the day after tomorrow."

Mayank: " Good! See you on Monday than."
Sam: " bye!"

Mayank disconnected the phone and turned towards Nupur to find her sleeping… he himself lie down to get some sleep.

Nupur's sleep has abandoned her. the intensity she saw in Mayank's eyes was disturbing. Moreover her feelings were a total mess. She wanted to unravel the mystery her husband but she was also afraid of getting entangled herself. he effected her more than any man ever did… his voice attracted her..her heart trusted her…

She was lost in thoughts and when sleep engulfed her she never knew.
