Maithali rose out of Pia's pleased to still be in Pia's body and not in her mind. She hated the conflicting emotions they both felt. It was like watching a car crash waiting to happen. It didn't help at all being around Abhay. He heightened those emotions to another level. Maithali hated ssing how much Abhay truly cared for this girl Pia. She hated to admit it but Pia was a great catch for Abhay. She'd go through any lengths for him. She was just relieved Pia wasn't in a hurry to endanger herself to get to the truth behind Abhay's dark secret. The girl was an enigma. Despite all her woes she was still in Abhay land. She reminded her of herself back in the old days. How she'd fought for Abhay. For their love to outlast all the obstacles thrown their way. If it hadn't been for her father Abhay would still be hers. It was all Abhay's brother's fault they got found out in the first place. Stupid man had deserved what came to him but her Abhay had payed the deadly price. Maithali brushed aside the old memories. Pia had relived some of Maithali's memories,. It couldn't be helped. They were kliving in each others personal space. Maithali knew all of Pia's secrets just like Pia knew nearly all of Maithalis. It was wise to hide some terrorizing memories away from Pia. She wouldn't be able to handle the torture and Maithali couldn't afford to relive her nightmares. She was looking forward to meeting Shaurya's grandfather. He had some news she was waiting for the past few days. It excited her but scared her at the same time. If what she guessed was true then she'd be back to her old self. No more sharing a body with Pia. It was like living with a twin.

Maithali got changes quickly. Rosa had already finished her daily beauty regime and her usual yoga mantra's which sounded alien to her. Maithali caught Rosa staring at her. No hiding away from a witch was there? Maithali only returned the favour and stared back at her in her non friendly stance. She didn't need this s**t right now. The witch would run to Abhay and then game over. Who cares thought Maithali. She was this close.

Maithali-What are U staring at witch?

Rosa eyed Maithali suspiciously-Maithali U better not be thinking of taking over Pia permanently. How have U managed to retain yourself in Pia's body this long?

Maithali just rolled her eyes at Rosa's concern for Pia typical-I think last nights incident must have worn Pia's reserves. Her mental balance is out of whack and i took my opportunity and took over. Don't look at my with those beady little eyes judging my very move. You'd have done the same this if the roles were reversed. So how is Abhay?

Rosa quipped-U don't seem syrprised by the hunters being on Abhay's tail?

Maithali glared at the insinuation of her being at the forefront of Abhay being hunted down-U stupid witch! What do U take me for? I would never send the love of my life to a massacre knowing full well a hunter was following him. Listen well witch i knew nothing of this hunter. It's not them i am looking for got it.

Rosa backed off. Maithali's eyes were glowing slightly. Was this normal?-Who are U searching for Maithali?

Maithali thought she might as well amuse her-Fine U want to know who it is i can only say i really have no idea. It is they that come searching for me. My ring beckons them here. See this ring is the key for my way out of this pathetic body.

Rosa wasn't buying it fully-Into where? U will need a vessel. Pia's body can't hold both of your entities together. You'll both crack up.

Maithali smiles-I have a few cards up my sleeve witch. U can relay this to Abbhay if U want. I know what he'll think of this news. He thinks i'm out to get his woman as it is.

Rosa gave Maithali a light brush with her hands-Its all the truth. Where will U go? I mean body wise.

Maithali wasn't about to reveal her trump card yet. She had to be certain it was preserved well. I have to meet someone.

Rosa moaned-What about Pia?

Maithali shot back-Pia!Pia!Pia! Why does this have to lead back to the damn girl. She'll be fine. U witches are so nosy. She will be fine. It's me i'm worried about. I'm seeing Shaurya.

Rosa fired back-Well i wouldn't have to be if i knew what i was dealing with. Pia's a friend i don't want her hurt in any form. Its bad enough she's already lost herself to U once i don't want her gone forever. What will i tell Abhay? Wait what Shaurya?

Maithali could see Rosa's eyes were filled with wariness of this situation-Just tell him to get a life for once and deal with his own problems while i deal with mine. Pia's safe with me as long as i'm in her. He should already know Pia's got more than she bargained for having me onside.

Rosa's eyes grew suspicious-How?

Maithali laughed-U witches are really filled with too many questions than i have answers for. In time you'll see. She might even surprise U in the future by helping U in your fight. Bye witch.

Rosa watched Maithali head out the door. She quickly dialled Abhays mobile. He had to know what Maithali was playing at. After all he saw into her soul. this whole blood change would show them the answer. She was certain. Abhay finally picked up. Rosa heard some noises in the background. Some static. Tara was probably still around no doubt.

Rosa on the phone-Abhay Maithali's gone to see someone about her way out of Pia's body. Is this dangerous?

Abhay sounded p****d off on the phone-Metz is doing what? Wait till i get my hands on her. why didn't U stop her with your mojo?

Rosa-Because she's a soul who even i can't read. Abhay this seems big. I think Tara and U better come up with some ideas. Abhay do U know what she's up to?

Abhay slammed his phone. Maithali what is it with U and messing up my entire life. Damn old flames were so hard to extinguish. What was she planning on doing with Pia? He knew she wanted out of Pia but this would hurt Pia in the long tern. He was certain. Had she found who she was searching for? He had an inkling Maithali already knew where they were. How could he be so reckless? He was so caught up with his own worries he'd forgotten about Maithali thinking she was just a tag along spirit hitching a ride inside Pia not causing a problem in the past few weeks. How wrong had he been?

Misha at Shaurya's place

Shaurya was wondering why Misha pad decided to pop round his bachelor pad out of the blue. He'd noticed she had tight jeams on showing the shape of her legs. Nice cut he thought. She was probably trying to impress some man no doubt. It was surprising to see Misha all flustered. Her eyes were speaking another language he wasn't familiar with. Girls were so confusing. He simply didn't understand them.

Shaurya showed Misha how hospitable he was by giving her a glass of specially made cranberry and raspberry juice he'd made earlier. He passed a tray with both their drinks over placing it on the table-Misha the red one is yours while the blueberry and cranberry juice is mine. I know your into your fizzy drinks and alcohol but the juice drinks are good anti oxidents. You'll like them.

Misha took the red glass of juice taking a sip-Mmmmmmm. This is really good. I can't believe you went to so much trouble for me.

Shaurya just shrigged his shoulders to show it wasn't anything-I was making myself one anyway. I'm a fitness fanatic. Actually scrap that a health freak. between work, working out at the gym my next obsession is health food. I lead such a boring life huh?

Misha loved how much effort Shaw took in his body. She loved what she saw the other day-I wish i was more like you but i can't shake off all the fast food and my sweet tooth. It's not like i need to lose any weight. I just don't gain any fat.

Shaurya gulped down his drink quickly-I'm expecting company this morning.

Misha was curious-Who are you waiting for?

Shaurya let on-Pia! She's wanted by my grandfather. Something personal. I can't divulge what it is. It's between them.

Misha's inquisitive nature went full steam ahead-I didn't know your family even knew Pia?

Shaurya continued-They don't. It's weird. I don't really know the full story but my family are keen on her.

Misha probed further-Keen as in how?

Shaurya was uncomfortable with the 101 questions-Misha what is it with all your questions? Ask Pia if you're this hell bent on knowing the full story. I only told you what i know.

Misha backed off-Sorry. It's just when it comes to Pia my shields just come up. Any news on her is like a gold mine to me. She's my best friend. Actually she's my soul sister and she's been through a lot of s**t over the past few months. Pia is a gentle soul. sorry Ok.

Shaurya smiled at Misha-It's OK. I know how you feel about Pia. She has this aura which makes you want to protect her. i feel the same way about her.

Misha felt like she was on the same wavelength as Shaw-Its weird how we both feel this connection with her.

There was a knock on Shaurya's door. Shaurya excused himself and opened it-Pia we were just talking about you.

Maithali frowned-We? (She hadn't expected anyone around Shaurya's place at this time)

Shaurya let Pia enter is home-Go right through i'll let pops know you've arrived.

Misha got up from her seat giving Pia a hug-So you made it. U really are a dark horse Pia. I didn't know U were popping around i would have tagged along with you then.

Maithali gritted her teeth well Pia's teeth in annoyance. Damn Dobrial girl mustn't find out the truth-Yeah I only decided last minute. Shaurya told me this is a delicate matter. So what made U come to Shaurya's place?

Misha sat back down while Shaurya went to talk to someone-I actually wanted to spend some time with Shaurya. All the girls crowd him at college so this was the next best place. What unofficial business do U have with Shaurya's grandfather?

Maithali snapped at Misha nosing into her affairs-Non of your business! It's between him and me.

Misha was shocked at Pia's outburst-I was only asking. Who woke up on the wrongside of the bed today?

Maithali crossed her arms-Sorry. I didn't meant to sanp. I'm just trying to respect the elders and so should you. Keep out of this Mish. Its for your own good. Trust me.

Misha wanted to know even more now-Fine.

Shaurya enters with a glass of specially made berry juice for Pia-It should tickle your taste buds. Its not too sharp and not too sweet.

Maithali takes the drink gulping it down-This is really good.

Shaurya chuffed to pieces-Thanks its my own recipe. I added a little ginger.

Maithali loved the flavours in it-So what's going on?

Shaurya took Maithali upstairs-He's ready to see you just head on upstairs with me. Misha i'm afraid its a no entry for you.

Misha nodded-I get it. Fine i'm on my way see you both. I know when i'm not wanted.

Shaurya gave Misha his grave apologetic look with his face drooping down-I'm sorry Mish but its the way he wants it. For security reasons.

Misha-What is he trying to pass off here? His will or some family secret?

Shaurya remained silent to Misha's questions-See you at college?

Misha nodded-Bye. I'll see myself out.

Shaurya stayed to see Misha out. He didn't trust her. As soon as she was out the door Shaurya followed Pia through. Only Misha never left. She had left the door ajar so she could enter back in and overhear the whole conversation.

Tara at Kabir's

Forced to locate Maithali Tara has no option but to request Kabir's aid. He was the only person Pia was close to and Misha who has the hots for the bisexual Shaurya. Yeah Tara might not be able to get inside Maithali ir Pia's head but Rosa's conversation with the spirit had lead her to walk this long winding road to ask a mere mortal to come with the goods. Tara's powers combined with Rosa's was not enough to find Metz or Shaurya. They needed to find Misha's whereabouts from her trusty best friend. Kabir had been an invisible person the last few days. Nowhere to be heard and nowhere to be seen. Tara knew he was still licking his wounds from Pia's rejection. She didn't blame the poor guy. Pia sure broke his heart into smithereens but the boy still craved Pia. Tara forbid Abhay to ask Kabir for any help who knew what would ensue between the two warring men.

Kabir simply looked spotless with his usual casual wear-Hi! Have you lost your way?

Tara just gave a friendly smile-No i need to find Misha and you're the man for the job.

Kabir grimaced at Tara-Why would i want to help a friend of Abhays?

Tara saw this was going to be difficult-Because i'm Pia's friend. I just want whats best for her. Misha's my only link to Pia and you are her link. Don't make this personal Kabir. I am not asking about Misha for Kabir i promise.

Kabir let Tara in. He believed her-Let me just get the address.

Tara entered Kabir's place for the first time. It was just as she'd imagined it to be like. A complete bachelor pad. Tara noticed Kabir's tight a**. Tara scolded herself for even checking him out. She was a taken woman the only man in her life was Alexis. Boy did she miss Alexis but his stupid rivalry with Abhay would ruin what she had with Abhay. Her boyfriend had a very close friendship with Abhay's estranged brother Sidharth who hated Abhay's guts meaning Alexis would forever hate Abhay. Vampires were so territorial when it came to their own. Tara's loyalty only lay with Abhay not Sid as he now preferred to be called. No Tara kept her mind from wondering back to Alexis. If he ever got her mind link he'd be here in a flat. Or worse he'd bring Sid the worse case scenario.

Kabir clicked his fingers-Hello? Where did U get lost? Here's the address for Shaw. I mwan Shaurya's place. Misha is there right now.

Tara was happy Kabir knew where Shaurya lived-Thank U so much Kabir. U really are a great guy.

Kabir's face went cold-Try telling this to Pia.

Tara gave a parting wisdom-Kabir Pia already knows what a nice guy U are. It's just she's been made for only one man. It will always be him for her. in time you'll find a woman who'll love U and only U.

Kabir found no solace in this-What about for Abhay? Is she the only girl for him? i don't want her hurt. This is what i can truly vouch for. I only want the best for her even if its not me.

Tara thought Kabir was so sweet-For Abhay Pia is the only human he'll ever love. She's not his first love but then again we all have our own history don't we? Pia is fine just as she is Kabir. As long as she has good friends like U on her side she will always be fine.

Kabir cheered up a little seeing the sincerity in Tara's eyes-Thanks for dropping by. I've not been great company the past few days. It was good to see a friendly face.

Tara gave Kabir a peck on the cheek. She didn't know why but she did it-See U around at College?

Kabir nodded-Let me know how things stand with Shaurya. I want to know how Misha is faring? She's smitten by him never seen a Mish so loco about a guy before.

Tara hated smitting a partial truth about Pia being the reason for her dropping by but Kabir wasn't a fella she was used to hanging out with to know how he functioned-Will do.

Tara moved out of Kabir's gates almost running to Abhay. They had to get to Shaurya's before it was too late. Something was brewing up at his place. Abhay was very distant. Tara already knew where his mind had drifted off to. Pia as usual. He had forgotten about the Hunter and being hunted. Now they were actually hunting down Maithali which was a refreshing change.

Panchi and Danish

Both were at war about Panchi's decision to look for work. Danish didn't want Panchi to work at all. He wanted her to be a kept woman. He wanted to be the sole provider. It was his job to be the breadwinner but Panchi had a career plan mapped out from their final year at University. He didn't want to upset his prospective in-laws with his outlook on women in the workforce. His own mother was a housewife. So was Panchi's mother. He just assumed Panchi would follow in the same path. To his detriment the woman was no pushover. She was high spirited. And a prude to boot. Why did he agree to play the doting boyfriend to Kabir? He had more fun fooling around than being the faithful boyfriend to Panchi Dobrial who was anything but a bore. Was he already fed up with her? he loved her but he had a niggling thought at the back of his mind of being unsatisfied. Maybe it was Panchi pushing him away with her new age ideas of the 21^st century woman.

Panchi scowled in annoyance-Danish i can't believe U wn't support my efforts to join the ranks of the marketing business. Business is not just for men its for women too.

Danish-I'm not saying women can't do the same profession as a man but i thought after marriage you'd be a housewife. U know my parents are old fashioned and i guess so am i.

Panchi refused to budge-Oh please spare me this c**p Danish. I refuse to follow tradition just because our parents chose to live their lives their way does not mean i will do the same. We are not living in the dark ages. U have to move with the time. My father did not raise me to be someones dummy. Us Dobrial girls are fighters. Anyone who comes in the way of our dreams will pay a hefty price. I refuse to be a doormat.

Danish sighed-I am not trying to shut U down woman. Why are U so stubborn?

Panchi yelled-Because U are so controlling. I have a mind too U know. Danish i am not letting U take this from me. My identity is not based on your whims. I need to find myself outside of being your girlfriend.

Danish storms out of the room hurling-Panchi i've had it up to here with U. I have to get away from U.

Panchi just shouts back-Yeah U do that.

Panchi lets a few tears out from her pent up aggression. She seriously couldn't take this whole dutiful girlfriend thing anymore. She felt like she was being smothered to death. She was losing her identity. Her self esteem was in tatters. She had nobody to turn to. She didn't want to worry her Mom and Dad while Misha was just a kid. For this moment she'd felt as if her whole world was crumbling down on her. how did she allow herself to get this low? It was mounting for a few months now festering till she could take it no more. Take Danish no more. She wanted to scream. For the first time Panchi was frightened. Danish was all she knew. She'd allowed him to consume her whole life which revolved around him. now when she was thinking about her future he was shooting her down. She had some self respect. Her parents taught her this at least.
