The next day everyone was busy working in the hospital, but Sid was busy doing searched of the area where Padma had previously worked. He finally found some good news and was waiting to share it with Shilpa during lunch.

At lunch everyone was sitting at one table, except Sid and Shilpa. Even though Riddhima and Armaan were sitting next to each other both their eyes were glued to the door in anticipation. Finally Shilpa came in and reached the table. She was looking for a place to sit.

"Shilpa there is a seat next to me"-Armaan

But Shilpa moved towards him but sat in front of him, beside Adyant.

Adyant smiled at her, but there was a storm of mixed feelings in his heart. He wondered whether she sat next to him to sit next to him or to make Armaan jealous. Which clearly she had achieved judging by Armaan's red face. Adyant watched Shilpa for a moment thinking she would stare at Armaan, but then she looked at Armaan for only a few moments and then turned her head to smile at him.

This girl amazes me. She looks at Armaan, not with anger, not with jealousy or hurt, but like another face in the crowd.

"Hey"-Shilpa breaking Adyant's thought.

"Hey back"-Adyant

Shilpa turns to Riddhima and smiles brightly.

"This is Riddhima"-Shilpa to Adyant trying to emphasize her name to get across that she was his sister. Adyant nods knowingly.

"Hi"-Adyant reaches over the table to shake hands and Armaan raises his hand to stop Riddhima from moving her hand forward, but she ignores him.

"So you went to college with Sid?"-Riddhima

'Yup"-Adyant

"What was he like"-Riddhima not giving Adyant her full attention

"Like Sid. Always full of life, it seemed like he had no care in the world. But if someone needed his help, he was always the first one to care"-Adyant

Riddhima smiled and wished that she could have known him in his college day. That she could have watched him goofing around.

Just then Sid walked in carrying a map in one hand and with the other he motioned to Shilpa to come to the empty table. Riddhima felt a burn inside but surpressed it by turning her attention to JP and Jiggy.

Shilpa knew immediately that Sid had found something out and nodded to indicate she was coming. Shilpa placed her hand on Adyant's to get his attention and he turned to look at her. She felt his light brown eyes sinking into her, but ignored the sensation they brought with them. She motion towards Sid and the both of them got up and made their way towards Sid.

When Riddhima saw the way Shilpa and Adyant looked at each other she felt a strange reassurance, a kind of safe feeling to over that calmed the fire the burned previously. The opposite was true for Armaan as his fist tightened.

At the table Sid spread the map on the table.

"Okay Padma ji didn't work in Chandpur but a small village near it. There was only a small hospital but no orphanage so they probably travelled to Chandpur. That's where we are going to have to go to. And I already called they have a files on who's worked there before. The problem is that it's unorganized and there are a lot of files to go through so we are going to have to go there ourselves"-Sid

Shilpa couldn't believe that Sid did this all for her and that she wasn't alone in this. She hugged Sid tightly trying to fight the tears.

"Thanks jiju"-Shilpa

"Anything for my saali sahiba"-Sid wiping the tears from Shilpa's eyes

"What about di?"-Shilpa

"I think she should also be there"-Sid

"So we have to tell her the truth"-Shilpa

"Not yet. But she should be there when we find your dad"-Sid

Shilpa looked confused

"So how are we going to get here to come there without telling her the truth?"-Shilpa

"Simple. I am going with you"-Sid smiled brightly at Shilpa

"And she will automatically follow. But she is planning to leave for Huston in like three days"-Shilpa understanding Sid's plans but seeing a flaw

"She's not going to Huston. And we leave tomorrow and Riddhima follows. Hey that rhymed"-Sid cheerfully

"But who is going to take care of the hospital?"-Shilpa

"I will. I already know how everything works around here. And I will make all the arrangements for you to stay there"-Adyant

Shilpa looked at him and nodded in appreciation.

Adyant smiled and took her hand in his and gave it a light squeeze.

"Thanks, yaar. And don't worry we will be back in two days so you won't have to miss your flight to back to America"-Sid

Shilpa let go of Adyant's hand and looked at him questioningly.

"Right"-Adyant

A few hours later Sid and Shilpa were in the change room waiting for Riddhima to come in. As soon as Riddhima entered the change room, Shilpa set the plan in motion.

"So did you pack everything for tomorrow's trip?"-Shilpa to Sid

"Yeah, I can't wait to go to Chandpur. I hear it is beautiful this time of year"-Sid smugly

"Very romantic. So we will leave right in the morning right after our morning shift ends?"-Shilpa

"Yeah, already cleared it with Dr. Shashank"-Sid

As soon the words "very romantic" registered in Riddhima's brain she broke into a run heading towards Dr. Shashank's office.

Sid and Shilpa laughed so hard that Shilpa actually fell off the bench.

"Jiju have you ever seen a bell run after someone wearing red?"-Shilpa between fits of laughter

"Hey! That's my wife you are talking about"-Sid who couldn't help laughing

Riddhima stormed into Dr. Shashank's office unaware that Armaan had followed her.

Now both of them stood looking at Shashank, but Riddhima ignored Armaan's presence.

"Dad I need a few days off"-Riddhima

"But you are leaving in a few days anyway. So why do you want these last days off?"-S

"Dad it's important. I need to go to Chandpur. I can't tell you why but I just do"-Riddhima as even she didn't know what she would accomplish by going there.

"Okay and you Armaan I suppose you need time off too?"-S

Armaan nodded unsurely.

"Fine. Go"-S

Riddhima stormed out of the office and Armaan followed her.

"Why are we going to Chandpur?"-Armaan

"We just are!"-Riddhima without looking at him left the hospital.

In the morning Sid was already in the car waiting for Shilpa. In his rear view mirror he could make out Riddhima's yellow suit and her glare and he smiled to himself. Shilpa finally came out and as she was getting into the car she caught a sight of Armaan in the car behind them. He looked shock to see her, but she didn't seem to care.

"Let's go"-Sid putting the car in drive.

He heard the engine of the car behind them start and chuckled as they began their journey. The road was completely abandoned with the occasional heard of cows and police jeeps. As they were driving Shilpa feel asleep on Sid's shoulder but Riddhima didn't notice until they had to stop to allow the herd of cows to pass them. As soon as she spotted Shilpa's head on Sid's shoulder, her knuckles whitened at the wheel and her eyes became locked to the target, the back to Sid's car.

Just as she was about to ramp with full speed, Sid put the car into drive. Riddhima also put the car into full speed and Sid spotted the speed at which she was coming at him. He quickly increased his speed to avoid collision, causing Shilpa to wake up. Shilpa looked confused.

"Why are you driving so fast?"-Shilpa

"You remember what happened when the fell spots something red?"-Sid frantically

Shilpa nods.

"Well the bell has spotted something red, and we, the something red are trying to save our hides"-Sid

The usually quiet and peaceful road was now thundering with engine noises and a storm of dust covered the two cars. Sid spotted something ahead of them and jammed the brakes. The car stopped just short of hitting another car and Sid let out a breath of relief. Just as he did Riddhima's jammed her car into his causing his car to crash into the car in front of him.

The two car's were now crushed, but the passengers seemed to be okay. Sid got up and quickly checked the rear view mirror to see whether Riddhima was okay or not. When he saw he getting up he felt relief for a moment and then got out angrily.

"What were you thinking?"-Sid

"What were you thinking? Allowing her to rest her head on your shoulder"-Riddhima screaming back as Sid

"What do you care what I do. This is all your fault"-Sid screaming

"My fault!!! Why you little"-Riddhima

All of a sudden both of the felt a cold felt around their wrist and looked up to find a shaken police officer staring at both of them as if they were kids caught doing something wrong.

"Jail"-Officer dragging them to the jeep where Shilpa and Armaan were already sitting, handcuffed.

All four of them now sat on a cold floor of a jail. Riddhima seemed smugly content to be handcuffed to Sid, but Shilpa looked the other way trying to avoid the stare that she was getting from Armaan.

"Okay we can't stay here forever"-Sid getting up and pulling Riddhima up with him

"Oye, what's do you want to get us out of here?"-Sid trying to get the inspector's attention

The inspector looked up lazily

"Pay the fine, 10 000."-the inspector

"What we don't have that kinda of cash"-Sid exclaiming

"Not my problem"-the inspector

"Okay how about you keep one of us the others go get the cash"-Sid

The inspector considered it for a moment and thought better something than nothing.

"Fine"-

Sid turned away and bumped into Riddhima. Riddhima grabbed onto Sid's arms for support and looked at him with a look of need. Sid sighed and steadied before walking past to sit down.

"Okay how about you three go. Riddhima you and Armaan go back cuz you have a flight to catch. Shilpa go to the nearest ATM withdraw the cash and bail me out."-Sid

Sid was about to get up ,but Riddhima pulled him down.

"We can't leave you"-Riddhima

"You already did. And you have to go, remember dream job and all. Plus Shilpa will come back for me. So go, it's the logical thing to do"-Sid this time with great strength got up

"Okay I will stay and let them go"-Sid

The inspector unlocked the door to let the three of them out. Armaan and Shilpa were already out, but Riddhima kept looking back at Sid. Riddhima hesitantly got out and followed Armaan and Shilpa.

"Shilpa wait I need to tell you something"-Sid

Shilpa moved closer to the bars to that only she could hear what Sid had to say.

"Riddhima is going to come running back, but before she does tell her the truth."-Sid whispered

"Sid are you sure you want us to go? I hate seeing you left alone"-Shilpa looked sad and guiltly

"Don't worry I know what I am doing. Just give her the money and make your way to Chandpur, we will follow."-Sid

"Are you sure?"-Shilpa looking uncertain

"Don't worry she will come running back even before the sun rise tomorrow. But tell her that you are her sister before"-Sid

Shilpa nodded and silently went back to Riddhima and Armaan.

Sid watched them walk away from him, he was sad but masked his face. Riddhima looked back at him as she was walking away and that further reassured Sid that she would be back. The inspector who had been watching Sid shook his head.

"Beta woh chale. Wapis itni chaldi nahi agaayegi"-the inspector

Sid still looking at the spot where Riddhima was a moment a go, smiled at the inspector's comment.

"Shaart laga lo. Who ladki kal ke suraj se phele wapis aaegi"-Sid

"Okay your loss. If she comes you are free to go and if she doesn't then you pay me double"-the inspector laughing and shaking his head

"Done"-Sid

Sid walked back to the corner of the cell and sat down, his eyes on the closed door waiting.

Riddhima walked behind Shilpa and Armaan. Her silence masked the storm of anxiety she was feeling. The desperation of being with Sid had ignited a fire that could perhaps burn the world within a moment. The sun was sinking and the image of Sid alone in that cell was tearing her and soon she knew she wouldn't be able to bare the pain. She looked at Armaan. He seemed so ignorant of the turmoil she was going through. She knew she didn't deserve Sid the moment Armaan had touched her, but…she didn't realize that he had become her need more that life itself.

"I CAN'T"-Riddhima shouted with tears now uncontrollably pouring out

The scream caused Armaan and Shilpa to turn around in alarm.

"I have to go to him"-Riddhima screamed as she turned to leave

But Armaan grabbed her hand.

"Wait you can't go. Huston, your dream our dream"-Armaan begging her to stay

"Screw Hustor, screw you! I don't love you, and you know it!!"-Riddhima screamed back

Riddhima scratched his hand causing Armaan to draw his hand back and she made a run for it.

"I am your sister"-Shilpa blurted out

Riddhima had already ran a few paces ahead of them, but she turned to stare at Shilpa in shock.

"Padma ji is my mom too"-Shilpa tried to explain. This wasn't exactly the way Shilpa had pictured telling Riddhima, but she couldn't think of anything else and then she remembered what Sid had told her.

Riddhima looked ahead of her, the path that lead to Sid, and turned back to look at Shilpa, the path that lead towards the truth. She turned back and ran towards the path that lead to Sid. She didn't care anymore, all she wanted was to be with him.

Nothing went through her mind as she ran frantically, she didn't feel the tiredness in her feet, she didn't hear the shouts coming from behind her, she didn't even think twice about what Shilpa had just told her.

The only thing that she could hear what the sound of her heart beating faster and she felt it beating harder against her chest. Even though her vision blurred from all the tears and the sun sunk taking away all the light, she kept running. Finally she saw the police station and the light coming from it beneath the door, and only that light shone throughout that dark night. A small smile played at she realized that Sid was only moments away.

Sid who knew immediately that Riddhima was only a few moments away got up and stared at the door. He smiled at the inspector and motioned for him to closer. Sid motioned to the inspector to look at the door.
