Geet looked at the calender in their bedroom. 07 December 2010. The day it was their anniversary. Geet turned around to look at Maan who was busy working on the laptop. Maan works at home now that they have a baby to look after. Maan only goes out if he has meetings to go to.
Geet: "Maan" she called out
Maan: "Yeah?" he said trying to hide his smirk
Geet: "What day is it today?" he hinted
Maan: "Tuesday" he said biting his cheek and continued typing.
Geet: "Suniye" she said sweetly
Maan never heard those words from her mouth before. But it sounded so sweet, he just kept staring at her.
Geet: "Hello?" she said moving her hands in front of his eyes to get him back in the real world
Maan: "What?" he said trying to maintain a stern look on his face
Geet: "Is it any special day today?" she asked hoping he would get the hint
Maan then looked shocked as he remembered something
Maan: "Oh YEAH!!" he exclaimed whacking his forehead
Geet felt relieved, he knew.
Maan: "Today is the day when Mr Shah signs the deal!" he said getting up
Geet was really hurt. That means, he forgot our anniversary.
Maan picked out his business attire and headed off to the washroom.
Geet looked at the washroom door. A tear escaping her eye. Then looked away.
Maan opened the door slightly and looked at Geet, feeling really bad.
Maan: "I'm sorry Geet, but I want to make our first anniversary our most special one. For that, I need to go out to make the arrangements" he thought to himself and locked the Washroom Door.
Geet was dressing up Muskaan, but just then Maan came out of the washroom. Maan looked at Geet.
Maan: "She looks really upset. What shall I do?" he thought for a while then started the conversation.
Maan: "Geet, coffee lana" he said adjusting his tie.
Geet went out of the room, and after two minutes came back in the room with hot coffee. She slammed the mug on the dressing table where Maan was standing, and went back to dressing Muskaan up without saying anything.
Maan finished his coffee and looked at Geet sadly and headed out of the room. Someone poked him on the back.
Geet just handed over the file to Maan without making eye contact.
Maan: "What's this?" he asked holding the file
Geet: "Presentation ki file" she said in a very low voice. Still, no eye contact.
Maan: "Oh... Hmm" he said and walked away, not able to see Geet sad any longer.
Geet watched him go down the stairs, and exit the Khurana Mansion sadly.
She was about to go back to her bedroom when someone tapped her on the shoulder. It was Meera.
Meera: "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!" she exclaimed and handed over her gift with a wide smile. Geet took the gift and smiled faintly.
Geet: "Thanks" she said sadly
Meera looked at Geet carefully.
Meera: "You should be happy. But look's like my best friend Geet isn't. So, aren't you going to tell your best friend what's wrong?" she said cheery
Geet: "Maan forgot" she said and entered her bedroom, putting the gifts on the coffee table.
Meera looked shocked and followed Geet into the bedroom
Meera: "Maan FORGOT? How can he forget? This day, you got married. How can he possibly forget that? Where is he now?" she said through gritted teeth
Geet: "Office" she said and sat down slowly on the chair
Meera: "Maan and his god damn foresaken work" she said angrily and sat down with a thump on the chair.
Meera: "You know what? Maybe he should have married his work instead. He loves those shreds of paper too much. Why didn't he marry them? At least you wouldn't be sad on this day" she said trying to make Geet happy.
Geet giggled.
Geet: "Yeah. What should I do?" she said helplessly
Meera: "Don't talk with him until he asks for forgiveness. Then give him punishment to stand on one leg for 24 hours. How about that?" she said.
Meera and Geet looked at each other then broke into fits of laughter and high fived each other.
Geet: "Good one!" she said
Meera then stood up and sighed.
Meera: "Take my idea into good consideration then okay?" she said smiling faintly
Geet: "I will. Definitely" she said through gritted teeth.
...12:00am...Geet: "Kitni raat hogayi hai. Maan abi tak nahi aye" she thought to herself pacing up and down the room.
It was 12:30am now. Geet was still pacing up and down the room.
Geet decided to try and go to sleep. But she couldn't. She kept changing her sleeping position. No position seemed comfortable to her.
Geet then heard something. She sat up.
Geet: "Koi hai?" she exclaimed. She saw nothing then lay back down again.
Geet heard the same noise again. She sat up once again.
Geet: "Kon hai waha?" she exclaimed again. She then saw something on the coffee table. A gift. There were other gifts as well. Unopened gifts by her friends Adi, Pinky, Meera, and others. But this one was a different one. The gift was covered in red. She had a strange urge to open that particular gift. She sat up, and walked up to the coffee table, and picked up the red gift.
Geet carefully opened the red wrapper. She opened the gift. She saw it was a see through saree, the blouse only supported with a string at the back. The colour was also red. The saree was also below the navel. Something Geet has never worn before.
Geet looked at the saree wide eyed.
Geet: "I have no problem in wearing a revealing Saree. But such a revealing Saree, oh my goodness" she said aloud
Then she saw a note. She immediately recognized that fine, elegant handwriting. The note said:
'Geet, I know you think this is a very revealing saree, but you'll look very sexy in this. Wear it, and come outside. The driver will be waiting for you. Oh, and make sure you wrap a shawl around yourself because I don't want the driver to get turned on. I'm waiting for you.

Once Geet saw it was from Maan, she decided to wear it for him. So she went into the washroom, holding the Saree. After 15 minutes, she came out looking stunning any man would fall for her.
Geet no earrings, and no necklace except for her Mangalsutra. Her arms were also bare. Geet grabbed her shawl and wrapped it around herself and exited the Khurana Mansion.
Geet saw the car and sat inside it.
Geet: "Where are we going?" she asked the driver
Driver: "Sir has asked me not to tell you" he said and continued driving
Geet: "Oh" she said in disappointment
Finally, after long last they reached a place. She got out of the car and her eyes went wide. She saw a massive yacht in front of her. Then she saw a tiny piece of paper on the ground with a stone on top of it. Geet took the stone off the note, and picked it up. It said:
"Walk forward" in the same fine, elegant writing.
Geet walked forward. She reached to the stairs which lead up to the yacht. Geet walked up the stairs and she entered the yacht. She saw another note on the ground. She picked it up.
"Turn left, and keep walking"
Geet did as the note told her to do. She turned left, kept walking. She reached the deck, and found a man resting on the railing.
Geet put a hand on the man's shoulder. She saw, it was Maan.
A huge smile formed on Geet's mouth. Maan saw that Geet arrived and hugged her so tightly she couldn't breath.
Maan: "Geet" he said and kissed Geet's neck
Geet: "I thought you forgot" she said a tear escaping her eye
Maan: "How can I forget our anniversary?" he said and broke the hug to look at Geet's face.
Maan: "I didn't go to office today at all. I actually went out to arrange for your anniversary gift" he said softly and looked at Geet's lips.
Geet: "I'm sorry" she said looking down
Maan: "Don't be. I should be for making you cry like that" he said and wiped the tear away with his finger.
Geet looked up and looked in Maan's eyes deeply. Maan did the same.
Maan: "Take your shawl off then" he whispered
Geet's eyes widened. She wasn't prepared for this. She looked down again
Geet: "Woh... I... I... Actually..." she stuttered
Maan then took Geet's hands, which kept the shawl together. Once he held Geet's hands, the shawl carefully slided off Geet and fell to the deck.
Maan looked at Geet up from head, to toe, basically gawping at her. Geet turned beetroot red from embarrassment.
Geet: "What if someone see's me like this" she whispered
Maan: "I own this yacht. No-one is here, except for us two" he whispered close to her ear, and then gently bit her earlobe. Geet gasped.
Maan then took her hand, and lead her to a table and two chairs.
Geet: "Muskaan --"
Maan: "I told Meera to look after her"
Geet then looked at the table. All her favourite food was there. Dhaal, rice, roti, and laasi.
Geet: "Mera favourite kanna!" she said and immediately set her food on the plate and started eating.
Geet: "Mmmm" she said in delight
Maan smiled and looked just looked at her eating. He remembered the dhabba scene and started laughing.
Geet looked at Maan questioningly
Maan shook his head.
Maan: "Nothing"
Geet was about to tear another piece of roti when she just realized something. Maan wasn't eating.
Geet looked at Maan, teared a piece of roti and dipped it into the dhaal. She then held it in front of Maan's mouth.
Maan: "No, it's okay. You eat" he said
Geet: "But that's not fair. I'm eating, your not" she said
Maan opened his mouth and Geet fed Maan. Geet smiled.
Maan and Geet finished eating, and Geet looked at the water crashing the shore.
Maan stood up and held his hand out to Geet.
Geet looked at his hand, then up at Maan questioningly
Maan: "There is another surprise" he said and smiled
Geet got up holding Maan's hand and Maan took her inside a room. The bed was decorated with red and white roses, and the room was lit with candles.
Geet: "Wow" she said softly
Maan turned around and locked the door. Then hugged Geet.
Maan: "I don't think I told you how sexy and stunning you look tonight" he said and pressed his lips on Geet's sensitive spot on her neck.
Geet's eyes widened and she gasped and moaned. Maan lifted Geet up and gently laid her down on the bed.
Maan planted ferocious kisses on every exposed part of Geet. He then unpinned the pallu and the pallu freely slid off Geet.
Geet couldn't take it anymore. She turned around, so this time Geet was on Maan. She unbuttoned his shirt and took it off and threw it behind her and pressed her lips on Maan's and explored his mouth.
Geet's hands then snaked up on Maan's chest. This time Maan turned around so he was on top of Geet again.
After the round, both lay on their backs, panting heavily.
Maan: "I have one more surprise for you" he said and turned off the lights.
She saw on the ceiling something she never expected to see and never saw when she came in the room. She saw lots of red glow stickers on the ceiling. She tried to make out what it said. It said "I love you" and "Happy 1st Anniversary"
Geet felt tears well up in her eyes. She turned around and hugged Maan.
Geet: "Thank you so much Maan" she said and pressed her lips on Maan's lips.
