He held her tightly and once the initial burst of emotion receded, the thought thrust itself into his consciousness that she was naked from the waist up. He wanted to go back a few minutes in time to when her open show of affection had caught him so off-guard in surprise and pleasure that he had momentarily forgotten that he had ripped her top off of her to leave her breasts and back bare. She seemed to reach the same awareness only a few seconds behind him, but rather than retreat, she started rubbing herself against him, through his shirt and all...
As much as she took offense to his illustrious history with women, that was the only thing that was going to save him – and her by association – tonight. Because, he would have bet all the money in the world that any man less experienced than him would not last two seconds when Gauri's naked breasts were pressed against his chest.
She pulled on his shirt in that moment and he stilled her hands. All the experience in the world still couldn't negate the fact that he had never desired anyone as much as he desired her, and that he was only human… and if she was insistent on pushing him to the limits… he didn't quite get to finish that thought when she shook off his hold and grabbed the collar of his shirt to pull it down with force, ripping it in half… well, he couldn't fault her technique there, she had learned from the best…
"Gauri, I am not a saint, sweetheart. If you do things like that, all my resolve to keep you a virgin through this madness will fly out the window." He said with some difficulty as she pressed herself against his now equally bare chest. Good Lord!
She glanced up at him in surprise now, momentarily stopping her mind-altering movements. "Why would you keep me a virgin? In case the significance is lost on you, I just ripped off your shirt! And while they may not be quite as large as you are used to, I wouldn't say that my breasts are entirely lacking in allure! So Shiv, please don't rewrite the script of your life right now while I am as willing as you will ever find me!"
He kissed her suddenly and the surprise of it made her fall back on the bed and he followed her down, running his hands everywhere he found naked skin before coming back to caress her where she felt obliged to point out that she was not entirely lacking in allure. Her back almost came off the bed and he had to kiss her quickly so that she wouldn't wake the entire neighborhood with every sound that came out of her mouth. She followed him up when he pulled back and he quickly kissed her again. "Gauri, I have to turn the music on or something. You will wake all of Delhi tonight otherwise!"
Whatever substance she had taken was potent indeed because rather than looking self-conscious at his pronouncement that she was too loud in bed – well, tonight, at least – she opened her eyes to say, "I have a Metallica playlist on the iTunes on my laptop. Why don't you turn that on?"
He had to laugh. She really was the craziest girl ever! "It's 1 in the morning. My parents are going to think that we are both in here smoking ganja if they hear heavy metal right now. Do you have something a bit softer? Something to set the mood?"
She sat up in all her naked glory then and climbed onto his lap to say, "I think this is enough to set the mood…"
He groaned in agony as he whispered again, "I told you love, I am not a saint!"
"And I believe I already gave you a short lecture of what I think of your patronizing self-control. I am asking you to be yourself tonight for once in your life Shiv! The same Shiv that you have been since you discovered that your pheromones make women go nuts and lose any self-preservation instinct they have. That shouldn't be so hard now, should it?"
That pissed him off. This was Gauri in true form… her inhibitions may be low, but there was not a damn thing wrong with her reasoning and logic if she could manage to piss him off and arouse him at the same time!
"What am I, your sex stud? Your play-thing? You think you can just take advantage of this situation without regrets and tell me tomorrow when you are back to being your regular ol' stick-in-the-mud self that it was all because of the stupid aphrodisiac. Which by the way, I am starting to doubt that you even ingested! Maybe this was all just a clever and elaborate ploy to get me into bed so that you can just use me for one night!"
"Aargh.. you jerk! You asshole! You insensitive shit! I can't even believe you said that!" She hit him on the chest repeatedly, refusing to acknowledge that he had hit the nail on the head perfectly.
He grabbed her hands and kissed her again and the flames rose inside her and spread through her limbs quickly – not that they had ever died down to begin with. This time, he lifted her up so that he could sit her down properly on his lap, her legs going around either side of his hips to cross in the back.
She moaned so loudly at the contact while he groaned into her neck. He held her still, not letting her move at all for a few seconds while he got used to all the new sensations. Then, before he lost his mind again, he scooted off the bed, holding her tighter, her legs still wrapped around him.
It was fortunate that her laptop was only three steps away from the bed. He turned it on and brought up iTunes and clicked on the first playlist that he came across. Smooth Jazz?? He will have to remember to store that piece of blackmail information in that part of his brain's 23-year old file-drawer completely dedicated to things-that-piss-off-Gauri.
While he had been turning on the music, she had somehow managed to get the ripped shirt off of him and was now running her hands over his back, her legs squeezing tighter around his waist.
He walked with her back to bed and just as he lowered her to the mattress, her head snapped up suddenly and her eyes widened.
He knew why.
"I warned you… that's what happens when you tease a man mercilessly…" he said, trying to get his body under control.
"Will it hurt?" she asked and just as quickly, she answered her own question. "What a stupidly virginal question! Of course it will… I know that…"
"It won't." He interjected.
"Yea, maybe for you! But it's a little different when it's a woman's first time!"
"This is not going to be your first time Gauri…"
She whipped her head up again, now clearly angry. "Are we still back on that argument? God, even when they think they are helping you, men are really just retaining their control over the situation! What do you want Shiv? A little pledge that says, "I Gauri Kapoor, of sound mind, solemnly swear on this occasion marking the prelude to the consummation of my marriage that while my body's libido is altered by an external substance, it has not altered the fact that I am aroused by my husband's touch. Very much so…" she added the last part quietly, a softness stealing over her eyes that made his heart go thud.
How could he say no to that? He was no saint… he told himself that for the third time that night…
