Dear Readers,

I wanted to thank you in advance before publicizing the very last part of Intikhaab. I know some of you lost hope that I may not be able to justify my ending. May be...and I do not blame anyone for this. I have a completely different meaning for "happy endings" where I bring eternity and timeless emotion into effect where love defeats life and death and lives forever. I guess I will never be able to give a fairy tale ending where the prince weds the princess and lives happily ever after but honestly speaking I never separated Mayank and Nupur. I have always upheld their love above and beyond all circumstances that life throws at us. To me, they remain to be together...forever.

I have written a one liner epilogue now which will be elaborated AFTER your comments. So please, for one last time, do read the update and this time, your comments will mean a lot more than ever as it is the last ever comments you will perhaps make for "Intikhaab". So let it all out...😊

Nupur is sitting next to the fountain…wondering what future has in store for her. Ever since the accident, Nupur had lost the will to live until when Mayank regained conscious after months but he doesn't remember her anymore. She wonders…a relationship that is solely based on some memories..memories that grew with them and turned into dreams of a future together, how can that relationship survive without those memories. With Mayank's memory, Nupur feels as if she, herself has been wiped off from Mayank's life. Her entire existence now remains to be a big question mark in Mayank's memory. As she questions herself about the possibilities of their life suddenly she is startled by a somewhat familiar voice…

M: mil gaya?
N: (without turning her back and completely oblivious of the person standing behind her, replies) kya?
M: apne sawalon ke jawab?

…shocked by the question she turns around instantly and becomes stoned seeing that familiar face in front of her…someone she never hoped to see again in her entire life again

M: (smiles) aap Nupur hai na?

(no response from Nupur as she remains frozen with her eyes wide open trying to grasp it all)

M: woh Diya bata rahi thee k aap yahin per milenge. I am Mayank, Mayank Sharma. Mr. & Mrs. Sharma ka beta jo UK me rehte hai.
N: (Nupur is still shocked)
M: (continues..) are you ok? I know that you don't know me aur aap yehi soch rahe honge k main yahan kya kar raha hoon. woh actually main yeh letter dene aaya tha aapko. yeh meri desk ki draw me para tha. mujhe nahi pata k kisne likkha hai, bas aapka naam envelope me dekha to…! I know main yeh letter post bhi kar sakta tha per maa ne insist kiya k main khud yeh letter aap ko doon. lijiye…
N: (takes the letter…and looks at it closely without opening)

Mayank, whilst handing over the letter to its rightful owner turns his attention towards the beauty and serenity of the nature.

M: bohat khubsoorat jagah hai. aisa lagta hai k yahan main pehle bhi kabhi aa chuka hoon. (then he turns around and as he gazes at Nupur, he says something that Nupur never expected to hear from him..not so soon). sirf yeh jagah hi nahi…aisa kyun lagta hai jaise issi jagah pe main aapko bhi pehle mil chuka hoon…ekbaar nahi kahin baar.

Mayank looks into her eyes seeking for an answer to a question that does not make any sense to him as he knows for sure, this is the first time he has been India and he does not recall anyone called "Nupur". Then why the feeling that he has known her for so long…why none of this seems new?

Nupur, on the other hand, after a long silence pulls her thoughts together. She takes a sigh of relief…with a smile on her face, she says to herself, we have so many memories to create together. Seeing Nupur smiling, Mayank asks..

M: aap ne bataya nahi k aapko apne sawalon k jawab mile ya nahi?
N: hamare saare sawalon k jawab aap hain…

They smile at each other and from that point on, they start creating their memories….together!
