At night Dev went inside the house quietly. He looked into Maan's room and saw him sleeping. He searched all the rooms in the house until he saw who he was looking for. She was sleeping in her room...he quietly stood by her bed with a needle in his hand...he covers Geet's mouth with his hand...she wakes up startled showing fear in her eyes once she realizes who he is, she started kicking and hitting him as much as she could..he sits on top of her to stop her from struggling..he shows her the needle in his hand...she looks at it with fear...
Dev: "Stop struggling this will hurt you more. you shouldn't have come in front of me today. You made a big mistake" he goes near her face and kisses her cheek..."Now I will give you this shot, and within 15 minutes you will be gone and I will be free" smiles at her.
She was still struggling with her hands, he realized that he needs both hands in order to do what he came here to do...he stuffs her mouth with whatever cloth he could find and holds her both arms down..."Stop struggling, I need to give this to you properly" He was about to give her the shot when someone held his hand. He looks up and saw Maan standing there.
Maan: I knew you would come back DEV...did you really think that I wouldn't find out
Dev: "since you found out there is nothing you can do"
Maan: "Yes it is, tell me who the person is that you are working for and I will let you go"
Dev smiled: "do you think I am that foolish"
Maan: "Yes, after all you came here in my house. how will you escape from me"
Before Dev could respond back, Maan picked him up and threw him on the floor. Dev stood up from the floor and pushed Maan to the wall "I will finish what I came here to do, you or anyone won't stop me" Geet saw that Maan's forehead was bleeding really bad, she got up and started walking toward Maan. Dev came from behind, picked her up over his shoulder and left the room. Maan heard her yelling and screaming, he ran outside to see Dev going down the stairs toward the living room. Dev threw Geet on the floor. She started crawling backwards, the horror of past event when Dev first came to her house played in her head. She couldn't believe that she would replay the same events again. Dev started coming closer to her when Maan ran toward Dev as fast as he could and pushed him out of the way.
Dev laid on the floor still concious, Maan went up to him and started punching him on his face "how dare you hurt Geet" he took out all of his anger out on Dev. Geet saw that Maan was out of control she tried to stop Maan but her efforts went in vain. Finally, Geet held his hand as he was about to punch Dev again. He looked at her face "No Maan he got the punishment that he deserves" Maan looked at Dev "You are lucky that she stopped me or else you wouldn't have left this house alive"
Maan called Adi and police officers to arrest Dev. Adi and Maan already had evidence that linked Dev to the other kidnapper. There was no way that he could get out of jail even if he tried. When everyone arrived at Maan's house, Adi saw Dev's condition. He laid on the floor with blood all around him, few broken teeth, jaw and nose. They all knew about Maan's anger and didn't question Maan at all. They dragged his body out and left quietly along with Adi.
Maan came up to Geet and hugged her. "Geet are you alright" Geet didn't say anything just held on to Maan and cried. Maan didn't say anything he just held her until she felt better.
The next day Maan went to the police station to question Dev. He wanted to know why. Adi congratulate Maan on his success. They were one step closer to catching the real person behind this. Adi informed Maan that Dev refused to talk to anyone. Maan went to where Dev was being held.
Dev: "Welcome Detective Maan Singh Khurana"
Maan: "the only reason I came here to talk to you is to ask you the person's name who is behind this"
Dev: "Good luck I am not going to tell you that at all, gotta try harder"
Maan: "Dev I am trying real hard here not to kill you"
Dev: "Go ahead and kill me not that it would make a difference to anyone"
Maan: "You had me , Dadima and your parents who loved you what did you lack in life"
Dev yelled: "MONEY!"
Maan: "Money is not everything in life Dev"
Dev: "Money is everything, that is all it matters to me"
Maan: "what about those girls that you helped kidnapped, what was their fault"
Dev: "It was their bad time that's all and I don't regret a thing about what I did"
Maan wanted to punch him so badly but was holding himself back with great effort "Dev what went wrong...you had everything you ever wanted, your parents that loved you, you had me and my dadima"
Dev: "All that doesn't matter to me at all. You weren't there when I had to go through hard times after my parents death. No one would hire me just because I didn't had money to back up my job, you wouldn't know anything"
Maan: "You could've come to me, I would've helped you"
Dev: "Yeah, so that you can pity me, no thank you Maan Singh Khurana"
Maan: "Tell me who is the person that is behind this and where is he keeping the girls before it is too late"
Dev laughed: "I don't have to and besides I didn't regret when I helped with my wife kidnapping so what makes you think that I give a damn about those girls and where he keeps them"
Maan lost control when he heard that he punched Dev on the face. He fell hard on the floor with blood coming from his mouth again. "You can hit me all you want Maan"
Maan: "You sold your wife??? You are sick. Why???, TELL ME!!" Adi came in the room to stop Maan but Maan stopped Adi from coming any further. Maan took out his gun and pointed at Dev "TELL ME DEV OR ELSE I WON'T HESITATE TO KILL YOU!, even if I end up in Jail"
Dev looked at Maan holding his gun even he knew Maan's anger and he knew that nothing will stop Maan. He got back up and tried sitting on the chair but Maan picked up the chair and threw it against the wall scaring both Dev and Adi. Maan kicked Dev on his stomach causing him to fall on the floor "You don't deserve this comfort of sitting now tell me before I loose my control and put these bullets in your head"
Dev: "Ever since we moved away, my parents and I had faced some hardships in life. It was very difficult for us to get by. I struggled so hard to get a job where ever I went they all demanded either money or a reference letter from someone influential. No one cared about the education or even my degree that I had, they all cared about one everything MONEY. So I decided to make that my goal. I was married at that time. I had her support but all that didn't matter to me. I wanted to make it big in life"
Maan: "What is that name of your wife" Dev sat there quietly, Maan couldn't take his silence anymore. Maan picked Dev up by his neck "I said what is your wife's name"
Dev struggled to speak "Naintara"
Maan ran Dev to the wall while stilll holding him with the neck. Dev started struggling under his strong hold. Adi ran up to Maan and tried to loosen his grip on Dev's neck but Maan wouldn't budge at all. Some police officers came and dragged Maan out "this talk isn't over Dev"
