Chapter 11
The next day Maan and Geet went downstairs for breakfast. Dadima was already at the dinning table waiting for both to come down while Nakul served everyone the breakfast
Dadima: Maan I have to go somewhere for the weekend to my friends house it has been a while since I last visited her
Maan and Geet looked at each other and smiled: Jee Dadima..I will drop you to the house
Dadima: No Maan that is not necessary I told the driver already to drop me off..Geet beta
Geet: Ji Dadima
Dadima: Will you be ok here?
Geet: Ji Dadima I will be
Dadima: Good until I am gone this house responsibility is yours and call me if Maan says anythign to you
Geet: Ji Dadima (looked at Maan)
Maan cleared his throat: Dadima I won't say anything
Dadima: Yeah I know and I also know your anger
Maan: Please Dadima
Dadima: Alright beta..Am gonna go now. Bye Geet beta
Geet: Bye Dadima
Maan: Bye Dadima..call me when you reach the place
Dadima POV:
Hmm when I told Maan that I am going I thought that he would try and stop me like he always does this is the first time that he didn't do that. By me going for the weekend maybe it will give time for Maan and Geet to get closer to each other and hopefully Maan could forget his past. I am so happy that he has finally shown up interest in a girl after a long time. I hope they both stay happy forever. I can't wait till they get married. Let me not take it that far one step at a time. Let's see if my plan works for now then I will decide the next move.
They both watched as Dadima left the house so now they can work on their plan.
Maan: wow that was easy I was going to send Dadima out for some work but she made it easier for me..
Geet: Ji (worried)
Maan puts his hand on hers..she looks into his eyes: Geet don't worry I am here
Geet: I know Maan (slowly removes her hand)
Both felt awkward and didn't know what to say so Maan finally decides to break the ice.
Maan: umm Geet alright I will call him and I also reminded Adi about the plan and his phones are currently tapped
Geet: Ji alright I am ready
Maan: Remember the story that we came up with
Geet: Ji
Maan called Dev and talked to him politely as a friend. He told Dev to come over as they have a lot of things to catch up with. Dev seemed really hesitant but didn't want to make it obvious to Maan that something is up. He signaled Geet that it is working. Dev showed up half hour later to Maan's house.
Dev: Hey Maan...where is Dadima?
Maan: Dadiama went to her friend house for the weekend
Dev: ohh ok...so what did you want to talk about?
Maan: Actually I met someone and I wanted you to see her since you are my best friend
Dev: wow that is a good news. Where is she?
Maan: She is in the kitchen right now preparing something. She is staying her for couple of weeks until she gets everything sorted out at her home
Dev: Really? I can't wait to meet her
Maan: Alright well have a seat let me go get her
Maan went to the kitchen and told Geet to come out. Her hands were shaking and she couldn't speak at all. Maan told her to act normal or else he would get suspicious and would probably leave the city. She knew that she had to do this for the other girls that are trapped at the house. She needed to help to free them from the hell hole...they both made their way to the living room where Dev was sitting on the sofa...
Maan: I would like you to meet Geet
Dev stood up shocked when he saw her face. When did she escape? Master never informed me about her escape? He was really scared thinking that Geet might recognize him and told Maan about any type of information she might've gathered while escaping.
Geet: Namaste (Maan felt her being uncomforable..he put his arm around her shoulders and looked at her)
Maan: Dev what are you thiniking? I said meet Geet...the girl I was talking about
Dev: huh Namaste...Maan I have some work to do...I will come back later
Maan smiled at Dev the way he left...the plan worked...he would probably call the master now....
Master: Hello
Dev: What the hell do you think you are! How come you didn't tell me that the girl escaped?
Master: because there was nothing to tell...she is probably dead now she jumped off the cliff
Dev: No she didn't die..she is ALIVE and is living with Detective Maan Singh Khurana now...I just met her
Master: what! Do you think that she recognized you?
Dev: I don't know I left the house the minute I saw her...I don't think she had recognized me
Master: just to be safe..you know what to do
Dev: NO WAY! I am not taking that big of a risk here...what if I get caught
Master: well like you said that she didn't recognize you..now do what you have to do I dont care get the job done or else you are gone..Understand me!
Dev: umm yes I will
Master: Good I want result by tomarrow
Dev: Alright
