Part 4

The speed at which Maan threw the question at her; she was too shocked. She knew that whatever she will tell him. Will be the truth. The true feelings of her heart. All the emotions and thoughts; calling of her inner heart. She will tell him what she desires. All the pain, angst, love; all emotions need to be told to Maan. What I have bottled up in my mind till date. She looks up and makes her eyes meet his. She can see only love and love for her. She could easily see her face in his eyes. The eyes which speak the truth. She goes closer to him and hugs him tightly. As soon as she was in his arms, he didn't understand anything. But he knew one thing that Geet needs me right now. An assurance from me.

He held her closer and tightened his grip over her. She was sobbing. He slowly kissed her forehead; released her from the hug. Looked into her eyes; and gestured her to say what all she has been bottling up in her heart. She still was clinging on his shirt; her one arm tightly around his arm. She says "Maan I love you". The moment the words leave her lips, he seals his with her. The kiss was so passionate that Geet thought that she would fall if he didn't support her. They part for some air, both gasping for it badly. The kiss was so intense that Geet was still in a daze. She was still closer to him. She very gently tilted her head so as now it was placed right on his heart. The heart which beats for her. The heart which she now rules. She tells him that Maan I am scared. I am rally terrified to experience happiness yet again. Right from my childhood whenever I was about to know what happiness is; destiny would snatch it away from me. I really can't trust my fate again. It has always given me immense pain. Fate plays its cruel games on me only. Maan, when I experienced love and got married to dev; I thought that destiny finally gave me all the pleasure in the world in form of my husband Dev. I never knew that this was yet another cruel plan of fate that as soon as I was about to settle in marital bliss, he left me stranding at the airport to find my way out. I was so terrified that I didn't find any way out. And then I got to know that I was pregnant. I was completely shattered. And then my family hell bent on killing me. I preferred death over a life like this. And that is day I met you. You saved my life, not only that day but umpteen times. Maan I owe you my life. Maan was listening to this with tears in his eyes. He couldn't believe what the poor soul had been facing all through her life. He pulled her closer for another hug. She needed that. She was now whispering; she told him that at first I thought I can't trust any other man in my life. Life taught me not to trust anyone except myself. So in search of a better life for me and my baby I decided to move out of the house.

I reached Delhi. And as fate would have had it; you gave me a job in your company. I was always close to you. I only respected you because it was my duty as I was your secretary. But after the party where you came as a savior for me; I started to harbor feelings for you. I whole heartedly started respecting you. I could never let my self fall for you but as they say that some decisions are made by our selves and some by fate. Meeting you and falling in love with you was destiny's decision; which I couldn't defy. Maan I am going to give you the tabeez that has always bought us more closer.

With you beside me, I am ready to move ahead in life. With you holding my hand promising to be there whenever I need you. I am ready Maan. Saying this she hugged him tightly again. He let her do that. He told her that do you ever think I will ever leave you? But before he could get any answer; she had slept peacefully in his arms; finding peace. The peace she has been finding for a very long time. The warmth and care; the love he showered over her was enough for her. He thought to himself that why didn't Geet respond to his proposal earlier. Everything was very clear to him today. Why she fears everything. He finally had understood everything. He let her stay there. They were content in each other's embrace. Feeling the love for each other.
