Chapter 14
Maan and Sargam left for work while Geet was still in the kitchen preparing breakfast for Dadima and for herself
Dev: so Geet how did you and Maan meet?
Geet: well I used to work in his company as a secretary
Dev: hmm wow really then i should've gone to work with Maan then maybe i could've found someone there
geet: hmmm
Dev got up and walked to the sink to put his dishes when Dadima came to the kitchen
Dadima: arre Dev what are you doing here i thought you would go to work with Maan
Dev: umm Dadima i thought I should stay home today and spend some time with you
Dadima: no problem..did u eat your breakfast yet?
Dev: yeah Dadima i ate pancakes that Geet had made...Maan is very lucky to have Geet in his life..she is perfect
Geet: Dadima aap dono bahar beteyen mein abi table set kar deti hoon
dadima: ok beta
As they both left Geet took a deep breath and felt kind of relieved that he was no longer in the kitchen...he seemed like a good person...there was still a doubt in her head that doesn't seem to go away... "babaji please help me..mein kya karoon...kya mein Maan se baat karoon...rehene deti hoon woh munhe pagal samje ge shyad"
Dev: Geet do you want me to help? (going towards her)
Geet: umm no its fine i got it
Dev: Geet i am like part of the family right, let me carry the dishes outside for you
Geet didn't want to make a big deal so she handed Dev the plates, while doing so he touched her hand..she quickly removed her hand...Geet looked up at him and it seemed like he was pretending to be totally oblivious to what he did
Geet: umm Thank you
Dadima was already outside on the dinning table eating her breakfast while talking to Dev...Geet sat opposite of Dev in her usual spot...Geet felt so uncomfortable and wanted to get out of the house while Dev is here
Dev: Actually Geet I will have more of your breakfast..I didn't taste the parantas I am sure that it would be delicious like your pancakes
Dadima: Dev of course it would be right Geet?
Geet gave a small smile to Dadima and served Dev some parantas...
Geet: Dadima I want to go to the mall today in the afternoon..I have to buy something for Sargam and while I am outside I could pick Sargam up from school so that Maan doesn't have to
Dadima: Alright beta
Dev: umm which mall are you going to...mind if I come also?
Geet: Ji woh Dadima ghar pe akeli..
Dadima: Dev Geet sahi keh rahi hai..tum mere saath raho I want to talk to you about your future wives
Dev: umm sure Dadima
Geet kept her head down for the rest of the breakfast..she could tell that Dev was looking at her in between his talk with Dadima. She quickly ate her breakfast and cleared the table...
Geet: Dadima please could you tell Nakhul to wash the dishes I am going upstairs to get ready
Dadima: Sure beta
Geet: Dadima kya aap ko kuch chaiyhe mall se?
Dadima: No beta tum enjoy karo..aur haan Maan ko phone kar dena..tumhe maloom hai woh kitna worry ho jata hai
Geet smiled: Ji Dadima mein kardoongi
Geet went to her room and looked the door...she called Maan on his cell phone
Maan: Hello Geet kya baath hai?
Geet: Ji woh mein soch rahi thi ki mein aaj maal chali jaoon aur mein Sargam ko school se pick up karloongi
Maan: Mall? Achank?
Geet: haan woh mera ghar pe mann nahi lag raha isliyhe
Maan: hmm alright..call me when you get there
Geet: ji bye
Maan: bye
Geet was so bored at the mall she didn't know why she even came here..she didn't want to stay home at all..she decided that she would talk to Maan about Dev tonight but she was worried if Maan would think that she is overreacting..she was standing in a saree shop when she felt someone holding her waist...she turned around and saw Maan there
Geet: Maan aap yahan par kya kar rahe ho?
Maan: Well I couldn't let you enjoy the day by yourself (smiled at her)
Geet: you are the best..did I tell you that (kissed his nose)
Maan: hmm no you could tell me that again (kissed her cheek)
Geet: Maan what are you doing in public?
Maan: what you could kiss me in public and I cant?
Geet: I kissed your nose there is a difference
Maan: And I kissed your cheek as a response unless you want me to kiss you somewhere else?
Geet: what do you mean?
Maan: hmm let me show you (pulled her closer to him)
Geet: Maan saab dekh rahe hai..let me go
Maan: Geet finish what you started
Geet: please let me go..I have to get something for Sargam
Maan: What do you have to get her
Geet: I dont know maybe a dress
Maan: Alright you go to the store I will be there
