Naina sat worried in her room. Maan has not returned yet. He wasn't picking any calls. Naina still couldn't believe that Geet was back..
Why had she come now? Both herself and dadima had struggled so much to make Maan agree to this sagayi and move on with his life. She knew that Maan was not interested in Sameera, but they hoped that things will change and he will start liking Sameera. Maan was not a person who will hurt someone innocent. But with Geet back in his life Naina lost all her hope about Maan moving on. Maan loved Geet too deeply. Naina was very upset. She could hear dadima shouting instructions downstairs. Tomorrow was supposed to be a day that would have brought hope of happiness and completion in their family, but Naina knew that things were not same any more.
The car stopped in front of the mansion and Geet starred at Maan. She sat blankly not knowing what to do next. Maan looked at her and said," Geet hum ghar aa gaye hein.Chalo andhar chalet hein."
Geet pulled Maan who was getting out of the car.Maan looked at Geet questioningly.Geet said," Maan muche kisi se nahin milna hein. Mein kisi ka koi bhi sawal ka jawab nahin de sakthi hoon."
Maan looked at Geet's face. His mind was filled with hundreds of question. What had gone wrong?? Why did she not want to meet people. Maan wanted to find it out desperately. Geet was too broken to answer him and the way she was scared about her family, he knew there was no point asking any of them. The one who could answer him was Geet and he had to wait for her to answer his questions.
Maan said Geet," Don't worry Geet. Mein tuche peeche ke raste se outhouse le jaunga. Wahan koi nahin hoga."
Geet nodded silently. Maan drove the car towards the outhouse and got down. He picked Geet's bag and asked her to follow him. She silently followed him making sure no one was seeing her. Maan took her to the bedroom and switched on the light. He put his bag down and looked at Geet. She stood there starring at him. Her eyes spoke thanks. Maan did not want to see her so obliged to him. He would have done this any day for her. She was his life and he was taking care of him by taking care of her. He looked away and said, "Geet tum fresh up kar lo, mein tumhare liye khaana lekar aata hoon."
Geet nodded her head and maan closed the room and walked out. Maan walked in a daze to the main mansion.
As soon as he entered Dadima came to him," what is this Maan. Kal aapki sagayi hein and abhi thak aapne apne Kapade bhi teek nahin ki hein. Naina ne kaha ke aap office gaye ho. Please Maan stop doing this. You will be married shortly. You need to give importance to other things in life. The tailor is waiting for you. Please get your fittings done. He will get it tomorrow morning." Maan looked at dadima. He had forgot about his engagement totally. The world seemed to have stopped for him after Geet's call. Naina was standing behind Dadi looking worried. Maan nodded his head and walked off.
Dadima called Maan and asked," Maan beta sab teek hein na." Maan looked at dadi smiled and nooded a yes and went upstairs. The tailor was waiting for him. He quickly took his measurements and walked out with his dress. Maan stood there unaware of things around him.
Naina walked in. She asked," Kya hua Veerji?"
Maan turned and looked at Naina," Geet wapas aa gayi Naina"
Naina, "wapas aa gayi ??matlab??? Aapko kyun bulaya usne?"
Maan,"Woh bahut dhari huyi thi. Usne apne Ghar walon se nahin bataya khi woh aa raheen hein. Infact woh nahin chahti hein khi koi jaane khi woh yahan hein. She was avoiding her family members Naina."
Naina," kyun? Kya Abhishek nahin tha uske saath?"
Maan did not want to hear Geet's husband's name. Though Geet has not said anything it was clear that she had run away from her husband.
Naina," veerji agar woh apne ghar nahin gayi tho ab woh kahan hein?"
Maan, " humare outhouse mein"
Naina was shocked. " kya? Humare outhouse mein. Veerji yeh aapne kya kiya. Kal aapki sagayi hein. Poora Ghar mein zhoor dhaar thayyari ho raheen hein. Aur aaap Geet ko yahan lekar aa gaye ho. Kisi ne dekha tho kya jawab denge. Koi jagada ho gaya hoga uske pati ke saath, isiliye yahan aagayi hogi. Uske parivaar walon ke daant se bachne keliye aapko bulaya hoga. Aapko usey Pia ki ghar chodkar aana tha. Mein Piya ko phone lagati hoon. Woh aakar usei le jayegi." Naina picked the phone to call Piya. Maan snatched the phone and threw it away. The phone shattered to pieces. Maan was very angry and Naina got scared seeing him.
Maan told naina angrily," Naina, Tum kisiko call nahin karogi. Meine Geet ko wada diya hein ki mein uske yahan rukne ka baath kisiko nahin bataunga. So you will not call any of her family members. Get that straight. I will not tolerate anyone harming her."
Naina looked at Maan scared and shocked. Maan never spoke to her rudely. Tears dropped off her eyes. Maan regretted his behaviour. Naina said," Veerji buliye mat, kal aapki engagement hein, buliye mat ki Geet khi shaadi ho gayi hein.Buliye mat ki aapki sara parivaar kal ke din khi intezaar bahut armanoon ke saath kar rahan hein. Geet is your past. You have to get over your feelings for her. She is not yours anymore. Don't fool yourself anymore. She left you once, she will do it again. "
Naina walked off. Maan said,"I am sorry Naina. "
Naina turned with tears in her eyes and said," I wish you have never met Geet. "
Maan stood there shocked. He still remembered Naina telling him how happy she was that he met Geet. But that was 4 years ago. Things have changed after Geet left him. Maan remembered that he had to get food for Geet. He took some food from the kitchen and sneaked into the outhouse.
Geet had changed her dress. She could hear continuous buzzling sound from the main mansion. She could see the mansion decorated with lights and people carrying things around. She thought that they were having some party. She felt bad that she disturbed Maan.
Maan knocked the door and asked Geet if he could step in. After her approval he walked in. She stood near the window dressed in a simple white suit. Her hair was open. She looked like a delicate flower beat by a wild storm. He wanted to hug her and keep her safe in his arms. He brushed his thoughts away. He kept her food on the table and asked her to eat it. Geet sat silently and had her food. Maan looked at her. He could hear the activities going on in the mansion. His past and present was dragging him. Lot of questions were raising in his mind. Geet was back but why now? Will she be with him? Or will she go back again leaving him back shattered leaving him to pick fragments of his broken heart. Geet finished her dinner and washed her hands. She smiled at Maan and said," Thanks. Lag rahan khi aapki ghar mein koi party ki arrangement chal rahin hein. Sorry aapko distrurb kardiya. Kal koi function hein kya aapke ghar mein?"
Maan looked at Geet . He looked away and said," haan Geet. Kal ek important finction hein mere ghar mein. Kal meri Sagayi hein."
Geet stood there blankly not knowing what to react.
