The Final Cruise, Part 2 (Continued...)
He slowly leaned in towards her, placing his hand on hers on the deck railing....Shilpa turned around surprised but Karan stopped her half way and placed his other hand on her waist as he pulled her closer to him, if this was a dream, he never wanted to wake up. He tightened his grip around her waist, pulling her even closer to him, there was no turning back now...her neck was inches from his lips, he felt himself stop breathing for a second, he was here...she was here, it was the perfect moment but something was holding Karan back, something was causing him to hesitate...
Karan took a deep breath and told himself that he was going to enjoy the moment and let it all go, he took both of his hands and placed them on Shilpa's waist, he pulled her closer until the distance between them was close to none, he could feel her tremble under his grip, he could see the goosebumps appearing on her skin, he loved how she always melted in his arms. He slowly bent down closer to her ear and with a soft whisper, said "I love you Shilpa."
Shilpa could feel herself blushing, she also knew that this was because of what Karan had just said...his "I love you's" always had this effect on her...she traced her thoughts back to the first time they had met, she was on vacation in Goa with friends and her second night there she ran into Karan who unknowingly stole her heart in one sight, there was something about him that had attracted her to him that day and had kept her here till this day, they stood here almost 4 years later, as two souls sharing one heart, Shilpa loved Karan from the bottom of her heart and Karan knew this but still her heart ached for Karan to confess his love, sure he said "I love you" and expressed it through displays of affection but Shilpa still felt as if something was definitely missing.
Karan slowly leaned towards her neck and gently placed a kiss with passion on her soft skin. Shilpa tried to twist away but Karan wasn't having any of it, just as he slowly turned her around to look into her green eyes...Shilpa's phone started ringing on the dressing table. Shilpa looked at Karan and smiled as she slowly said "saved by the bell sweetheart," Karan looked at her walk away to get her phone and thought to himself, why does her damn phone always ring when I try to do something...Shilpa turned around and smiled when she saw Karan standing there with a puppy face, she knew what he was thinking...so without thinking any further she replied "stop badmouthing my phone, its your fault your so slow at everything," and she winked at him. Karan saw the mischievous look on Shilpa's face and realized that maybe Shilpa had wanted him to make a move...he called himself an idiot under his breath and made a plan to get Shilpa back...
He looked at her talking on the phone and thought why not make a move, after all she wanted him to. he noticed her looking at him and winked at her, he could see the rosy glow appearing on her cheeks, she was clearly blushing. He got all sorts of playful ideas in his mind as he moved towards her sneakily. Karan took this is a challenge, one he didn't plan on losing so easily, he didn't take Shilpa's words simply as words...he saw them as a challenge and as an excuse to make his move. He walked up behind her and asked in his softest whisper, "whose phone is it?", she replied back with "it's mom". He could tell from her facial expressions that she didn't want to be on the phone at that time, maybe something was distracting her...?
He held her from the shoulders gently as she kept the conversation going, he didn't want to disturb her but he was also in a playful mood after all they were a couple very much in love, on vacation, together, so Shilpa was all his, she could talk to her mom whenever she wanted but he wasn't going to get an opportunity like this all the time...
With that he moved her hair to one side and kissed the nape of her neck, she put her hand on the ear piece and said "Karan, what are you doing?," he looked up at her and said "Shhh, I'm doing what I should've done a long time ago, tell mom your busy and that you'll call her later...", Shilpa kept on looking at his face, his perfect lips, the jawline, his perfect blue eyes that were right in front of her face looking straight into her eyes, she didn't know what happened next but she somehow lost herself in those eyes...
