😆Hey Guys!
Chapter Nine: Run
He was livid.
Maan Singh Khurana almost crushed the recording device Alexandra had handed him before falling stone cold unconscious on his bed.
During the time it had taken for Daadima to get to Alexandra, Nakul and the other servants to get a female doctor and three private nurses, Maan had stalked to one of the guest bedrooms in order to find out exactly why Alexandra was dribbling blood on his silk pillow covers and had listened to the tape carefully.
Now he wasn't sure what to be more furious about.
Brij Handa's nauseating mind?
Alexandra's audacity?
Geet's truth?
The Handa Family's mind-blowing revolting principles?
His own family....Choti-Ma, Pammi, Naintara...Dev.
His diabolical family had done this right under his nose...
Maan's roar echoed through the mansion halls as his fist collided with the bathroom mirror.

Despair? Horror? Misery? Anguish?
Geet couldn't think of a single word that could describe how she felt.
The twisting pain in her chest seemed to heighten every second she recalled that daunting moment.
It was the simple realisation that she was nothing but a fool.
Gulping down a glass of water, she stared now dry eyed at the apartment which screamed the name of that treacherous woman at her.
Geet picked up her suitcase she turned her back on it all.
When you had heard enough, cried enough and seen enough what was that point in staying? The original idea had been to stay, wait and scream at Alexandra for an answer but Geet upon arriving 'home' had felt the suffocation that these walls brought.
She'd called her only friend in Delhi to help her pack and was now ready to leave. "Chalo." Geet ordered Pinky hoarsely. "Mehri train aah rahi hogi."
Pinky crumpled a chips packet in her hand and shook her head in concern."Geet yaar, aisa math kar. Mujhe nahi lagta keh Maan Sir-"She'd never seen her friend look so...dark.
Almost as if the very hope in her had seeped out.
"Tumare Maan Sir jho bhi kare mujhe koi faraq nahi padta! Kissi ke saath kare, yah woh Alexandra jho bhi kare mujhe KOI farq nahi padta!" Geet bit back, pushing her out the door and slamming it shut. She turned to Bahadur who was waiting patiently outside and handed him the keys. "Alexandra Veer Singh ko yeh deh dena aur unse kaina keh hum hamesha keliye chale gahe hai...aur...unke ehsaano ka hame abh koi zaroorat nahi hai."
Bahadur silently took the apartment and garage keys and pleaded with his eyes for his Geet Madam to stay but knew inside that there was no point; he didn't have the daring to question her decision. "Apna hayal rakna Madam." He looked away.
"Madam...nahi. Geet...sirf Geet." The reply was softer this time.
Bahadur and Pinky watched a dejected woman walk away from them...both desperately wishing for a miracle...or a better life in Mumbai.

Alexandra felt herself drift in and out of consciousness. She could vaguely feel Daadima's comforting wrinkled hand on her forehead and the hazy image of a brunette doctor tightly bandaging her ribcage. She could hear the creaking sound of the door opening...quick sharp footsteps...a more callused hand on her bare shoulder.
"Alex..." The concerned voice breathed in shock, "What happened...is she okay?"
"Dev." Alexandra's eyes shot open, blood red around star bright blue.
Dev stared confused at Alexandra, shocked to find the immense hatred radiating from them.
Savitri Devi stilled at the sudden tension emitting from Alexandra and then widened her eyes at the sound of her other grandson roaring in the room next door.
"Run." Alexandra grinned almost evilly, and with great effort raised a bandaged hand only to slam it in Dev's chest.
Dev reeled back, that face...those hate-filled eyes...the eerie voice that now came from Alexandra suddenly seemed all too familiar.
The dream which had been haunting him for weeks now came to life.
Whatever had happened to Alexandra...
Somehow...
He had been found out.
Maan Singh Khurana knew.
Dev ran.
