Okay, back to the ff....OMGG wow this was the past?😲...they almost got married?...well as long as its ALMOST, who the heck cares!😆....but on a more serious note, i am scared for maaneet now since misunderstandings are starting to creep in😭....i can understand geet's reaction and i guess maan holding her tightly just added more fuel to the fire....though, i lovee those manhandling scenes in the show!😳😉....okay before i go into dream mode again, i gotta say, i can imagine how much work you must have...afterall, hum dono ek hi boat mein to hain!😆...but despite that, you manage to give such wonderfully written updates and that in itself is incredible!!👏....i wanna say update rapido and since there is the thanksgiving break now, maybe you can fulfill my wish rapido?😉

Part 42

Maan followed behind the car Geet was in. He was not going to let her meet Sameera alone. That women was capable of anything. She could hurt Geet and he would never let that happen.

Geet sat in the car thinking about what Maan had just said. How could he have hidden something so important form her? For the first time he had disappointed her. Maan always spoke of honesty, where was his honesty now? She didn't doubt that he loved her, nor did she doubt his character. What upset her was that he didn't think he could take his truth. She thought they had been through enough to share every secret they had. Tears tricked down he cheeks as she thought of all this.

At that moment she felt confused. How could she face Sameera now? She gave the driver directions to get where she needed.

Maan followed the car Geet was in. He didn't care how angry she was at him, he wouldn't let her meet Sameera alone. He wasn't going to take chances this time.

He followed for about thirty minutes until he noticed a familiar route. This didn't lead to the mall. He wondering why she was going there. He followed anyways.

Some time later the Geet's car halted to a stop. She looked out the window and saw that place Maan had brought her to before they were married. It was the lake side by which he had shared his past with her. She still remembered that day vividly. That was when he finally saw Maan for everything he was. She remembered the peace she had felt with him that day. Geet didn't know why, but this felt like the place she wanted to be in at the moment. She called Sameera and said she was not feeling well and cancelled their plans.

Geet stepped out of the car and began walking towards the water bank. The sun was shining with intensity. Its reflection on the water made the scenery even more beautiful. She sat on the grass, hugging her knees to her chest.

A few seconds passed until she heard are car breaking behind her. She turned around to see Maan's car parked right behind hers. She instantaneously got up in rage and glared at him as he approached her.

"What are you doing here?!", She bellowed.

"I came to make sure you didn't meet Sameera.", Maan answered.

"Okay, you made sure. Now leave me alone!"

"Geet, can we please talk?", Maan asked.

"No! There is nothing for you to say."

"Geet, please listen. I'm sorry. Just let me explain."

"Maan, what are you going to explain? I have already heard everything. What excuse will you make?", Geet said.

"No excuses Geet. I only want things to be alright between us."

"I can't believe you didn't tell me the entire truth. All this time I thought my husband is such and honest man. I thought you would never hide anything from me, especially something so important. But you did!"

"I know! Geet I didn't know how you would react. I was afraid you would look at me the same way anymore.", Maan said taking her hand.

She snatched her hand away and took a step back. "Maan, what makes you think I would look at you the same way after you lied to me?"

Maan's face construed in pain, "Geet, I didn't lie. I didn't tell you the whole story."

"Exactly! That's no different from lying. We have been married for over two years. I'm going to have your baby and now is the time you decide to tell me this? Why? Because you were afraid Sameera might tell me first?", Geet said in frustration

"No Geet. I thought this Sameera thing wasn't important. She was my past and I forgot about her. All I wanted to do was move on. I wanted to forget those days Geet, they caused me so much pain. I want to live in the present with you. Sharing that part of me would bring that part of my past to our present and it would affect our future. I'm afraid of that Geet. I'm afraid to loose us.", Maan said looked at her through his dark eyes, that seemed to be reliving those memories.

Geet was silent. His words replayed in her head. She took a moment before talking.

"Maan, why would you think that? Do you not know me at all? I wouldn't have cared. I love you and I know you more than anyone else. I would have never judged you for it. Nor would I have taken it so seriously that it would affect our relationship. All I need is for you to be honest with me.", Geet replied.

"I'm sorry Geet. Yes, I should have told you. But I didn't want our relationship to take a hit for it.", he slowly took a step towards her. He watched her reaction. She did not back away. He then put his hand on her cheek. "I'm always afraid that I'll lose you. If that happens, I won't be able to take it."

Geet took his other hand in hers, "Maan, you will never lose me. I love you more than anything. I need you in my life always."

Maan pulled her in to a hug. Geet closed her eyes and rested her head against his chest. She wrapped her arms around him. She could hear his heart pulsing away furiously inside his chest.

She pulled away and said, "This doesn't mean your forgiven."

"As long as your talking to me.", Maan said with a weak smile.

Geet sat down on the grass. She looked up at Maan and pulled him down by the hand to sit next to her.
