Recap
We walked in and the front desk guy looked at us and winked. "New wedding, huh?"
Maan regarded him with a weird expression. "What makes you say that?"
The man laughed. "You and bhabhi look so perfect. And in love. That is only possible when a couple is newly married. After a few years, it all goes away." the man looked sad, probably thinking of his own scary wife 😆
Geet waited for Maan to tell the guy they weren't married, they weren't a couple, that he was still his boss and she was working for him due to her situation. He started talking and she felt reassured.
"Nahin, aisa kuch nahin hain. We are newly married, but I will love her forever." Maan said, peeking at me from the corner of his eye.
I gaped and held back an OMG.
The man looked at me and laughed. "Look, bhabhi is so shocked!"
Maan gazed at me and the corners of his perfect lips curved upwards. His eyes twinkled, his pupils sparkled. It was hard to look away and break the eyelock, but I did and I had to. Maan laughed along with the man.

New Update ;D
Maan and I walked to our hotel room in silence, stealing bashful looks here and there.
Since the season was in full swing, travelers from the city wanting to experience the beauty of the countryside had booked the guesthouse to full capacity, so there was only one room left and Maan and I had to share it.
He inserted the key into the miniscule hole in the door and turned it twice, and it was open. He held his hand out and said, "Ladies first."
I smiled at him. When did Dusht Danav and 10-headed Ravan turn into Ram, god knows 😆
We walked in and he slowly closed the creaky wooden door behind us. He pushed my bag beneath the bed and plopped himself onto a chocolate brown chair with handrests across the queen-sized bed. There was only one bed.
"You sleep on the bed, I'll manage on the chair." Maan yawned and closed his angelic eyes.
I sighed and clutched my dupatta worriedly. Maan sir never took care of himself. He always thought too much for me, did too much for me, cared too much for me. He couldn't sleep on the chair. I wouldn't let him.
I stomped over to the other end of the room and grabbed his hand and shook it. "Wake up, wake up!' I cried.
He wouldn't stir. He was sound asleep, smiling in his sleep at a sweet dream, a secret only he would know and that I would long to be a part of.
With much difficulty I was able to get him up although he had no idea, and drag him to the bed.
I lay him down carefully, straightened his body, and set his hed on a fluffy pillow. Finally, I placed a thick woolen blanket on his body and tucked him in. "Good night, sir," I whispered. I grabbed a quilt and a pillow and turned towards the chair. But then I hesitated.
Turning back, I whispered, ever so softly, but still so truely, "I love you Maan."
Maan turned in the bed and pulled the blanket closer to himself and smiled.
I smiled too.
MAHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
The next morning Maan woke up early, after a good night's sleep and dreaming of him and Geet of course, and pushed the comforter away.
He rubbed his eyes and blinked twice. Running a hand through his dreamy and perfect hair, he examined his surroundings. "But I slept on the chair," Maan said to himself confusedly. He looked across the room and saw his Geet, his fiancee, his partner-in-crime, his wifey, his angel, his savior, his soulmate. And she was sleeping on the chair. Her face was peaceful, her dazzling eyes were shut, and her face glowed luminously from all angles.
Maan was pulled towards her, like a magnetic attraction, and he found himself standing above her, stroking her hair, and softly kissing her forehead and saying "Good morning, future wife,"
Geet opened her eyes and clearly had no idea what was going on. But then she saw the one person in her life who made something, something wonderful, something intimidating, something magical happen in her heart, that made fireworks occur inside her and made her pulse race. "Good morning," she said shyly.
MAHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Maan wore a crisp white short sleeve shirt that showed off his well-built muscles and a pair of dark-wash denim jeans. Geet wore a light pink Anarkali-style churidar with medium-heavy work near the neck and at the bottom, compliments of Pari. She chose to go earring-less and let her straight brown hair out and wore a heart-shaped locket that Pinky had given her before she came to Hoshiarpur. Maan noticed it and looked jealous. He cleared his throat and coolly asked, "Is that new?" referring to the necklace around Geet's neck.
"Yes," she said, holding back a laugh. "It's from someone special,"
Maan looked like he wanted to strangle whoever gave Geet the locket but tried to mask his envy with a strained smile. "Oh really? Who?"
"Pinky, who else?" Geet started laughing hysterically and pointed at the locket and then at Maan and hit her knee in jest and tried to breathe. "No need to be jealous."
"Jealous, and me?" Maan coughed and tried to laugh but was unsuccessful. "Geet, you crack good jokes! Maan Singh Khurana has never been jealous," Maan said unconvincingly.
"Oh really?" Geet said. Then maybe it's time to make you jealous. "Whatever you say, sir."
Maan smiled like he'd won. "Good. Anyways, since you're my fiancee now, we need to get you a ring to make it proper."
"But sir, I'm not--"
"Geet! How else will dadima be convinced? It has to look real! Besides, we have to spend a week here in Hoshiarpur and we have nothing to do! Tell me where we can find a nice diamond jewelry shop and let's get going!"
"But sir, you didn't buy Pari a ring!" Geet exclaimed in retaliation.
"If she was still here today, I would have bought her one right now!" Maan said in frustration. "Geet, do what I tell you, and stop wasting my time!"
"But sir, I don't want you to waste your money on a real diamond ring when this is just a natak!" Geet blurted out.
"Geet, I am a billionare! I have wayyyyy too much money. One diamond ring isn't going to reduce my wealth," Maan said wearily. Then, under his breath, he said, "And how long is it going to be a natak anyways?"
Geet looked at him strangely. "Did you say something?"
Maan smiled innocently. "Nothing, nothing at all. Want to go now?"
Geet shrugged and said, "It's not like you were going to listen to me anyways. Let's go."
