Part 5
She hurried through her meetings in anticipation of joining armaan back in her room. She hoped he would be there when she returned. All morning her mind was boggled with thoughts of armaan, she couldn't keep her mind at rest. She didn't know where such desperation for armaan came from. Was it her zeal to help him through the situation, or invisible forces driving her towards him. whatever it maybe she just had to be with him.
"Mam, we are here" her driver notified. She rushed through the car with all her things bundled in her arms. She waited impatiently for the elevator and in the elevator, her feet involuntarily tapping the hard floor. Reaching her floor she rushed out of the elevator through the hallway to the door of her penthouse. She juggled through her things for the keys. Finally finding the keys, she swiftly opened the door, her eyes scanning the room for armaan. Not finding him in the hall, she threw her things on the couch and checked the rest of the floor only to find it empty. Finally she fell on the couch tired and disappointed. The food was still on the table untouched and a note residing beside it. She picked it with tredipitation, sweat on her brow.
It read
"Hi, thankyou very much for everything you have done for me. I hope I could introduce myself or have a formal introduction of you. But I have been called urgently from work. So I hope you understand I cannot be here. I once again thankyou for everything. Hope to meet you again"
She could read the forced emotions in the words. She understood that he had written the note out of compulsion, feeling thankful for her help but didn't mean it. He didn't end the note with his name which was another indication that he wasn't interested in friendship or another meeting but the note was a simply bye note. She felt defeated, she knew that he wouldn't be interested in staying back until she returned, but somewhere she hoped for him to wait, to take a step towards her for friendship, a step towards recovery on his own.
She sat back in her seat, eyes closed, defeated, disappointed, his note running through her mind. It took few minutes but a mischievous smile sketched on to her face as a realization dawned onto her. She knew a way she culd use his note, an invitation to his work. She wasn't gonna let him go easily, it was time to sought him at his work.

"Dr.Armaan, you are needed in the ICU" the speaker called for him. he was in the cafeteria taking a break. His files were still with him, he didn't wait to deposit them at the nurse station but rushed to cafeteria for a hot coffee to break his worst hangover headache. Dropping the coffee he rushed out of the cafeteria dropping the files at the nurse station on his way to the elevator. He all but ran through the corridors to the ICU.
"Dr.Armaan, Mr. sharma's pulse is sinking we have tried CPR but still he couldn't be rejuvenated" the nurse rushed to him at the entrance. Armaan jumped into his doctor mode and ran to the patient. He barked orders for immediate CPR once again, and a stipulated medicine to be injected. "There is a light pulse. Have him checked for internal bleeding. He is currently recovering from a haemorrage in the pelvis. Come on rush, notify Dr. Shubash for blood from the blood bank. The Group in A+. now rush" he ordered. He further administered his pulse while the nurse returned with an immediate result indicating internal bleeding. The patient was immediately rushed to the OT. He himself changed into scurbs, and prepped immediately. A swift incision was made at his still to dry stiches. A misplaced bone rupturing a vein was detected, armaan with his team worked on replacing the bone gracefully, avoiding other perfectly in order bones. The procedure was simple but needed to be done carefully, any abrupt or rash movement of hands would result in the scalpel hurting the patient. All the doctors worked with rapt attention, the nurses assisting the doctors providing them the necessary instruments, and few others indicating of drop or rise in the heartbeat. As the bleeding was stopped the heart beat started to raise slightly pumping the blood efficiently to the parts of the body. An hour concentrated operation of the doctors and the bleeding was stopped. The patient was moved to ICU once again for another few hours observation. Armaan and the other doctors got out of their scrubs still discussing of the further medications and observations to be made on the patient. They decided on another 10hours observation to see how well he recovered or for any side effect from the medication before he was moved to a private ward. The other doctors left as armaan once again made way to the patient. He decided to be present personally for the observation, he wanted to make sure of the patient's welfare. He gathered the charts from the nurse and moved around the ICU checking if all the wires were connected correctly or not. He checked the patient's pulse regularly, and replaced the empty blood bottle. After two bottles of blood which was enough for the patient he replaced the stand with saline to provide essential nutrients to the patient. He forgot about his headache which was bothering him all morning in his patient's care. It provided him a distraction from his self destructive mind. His work made him oblivious of other things which was good for him. he didn't want to remember his personal life which has become a debacle.
~~
Ten hours of observation on the patient and the time was 10, Armaan spent his whole time in the ICU checking over him until he was declared good and moved to a private ward. Making sure that Mr.Sharma was perfectly adjusted in the ward, armaan made his way out to handle his other cases. In his absence they were dealt by his colleagues who has recorded their medication on the charts. For another hour he checked all his patients. He checked their conditions and medications, and ensuring that they were taken care well he made his way to the cafeteria to have a quick coffee before he went home and to bed. Food wasn't on his mind.
He was enjoying his quiet coffee when he heard a familiar laughter. His curiosity on who the person is won his ability to let it go, and he found himself rise from his seat and walk in direction of the laughter. And there he found her with a new intern, who was flirting with her................. ~~ Hey everyone, hope you liked the part.I know it's a small part will make the next one big. Do comment on how it is.Is there anyone interested in reading ArSh(Armaan-Shipa) ff, it's such a old show that I'm not sure if there any fans left in this forum.
