Cupid Steps Continued:

Now to those wondering if the phone conversation and the note delivery idea made by Vicky seemed staged, well I have just one thing to say, you are absolutely right. In fact this plan, a small addition to their previous plan, was hatched by our 2 cupids as soon as they found out about Geet's avoidance issue. I know they had initially decided to be hands off about the whole thing, but they were also quick to recognize that the had forgotten to factor in the main ingredient when coming up with their plan. The ingredient you ask, the Ms. Geet Handa, of course. So, while they had made correct estimates about their brothers abilities, they had very foolishly forgotten to add in Geet's abilities. Taking that into consideration, they decided to give their brother a hand (subtly and secretly) in order to woo their future bhabhi. So, back to the new plan, fate had actually given them a hand because Geet did need her notes from Pinky, but the initial plan was for Pinky to personally deliver them. Now with a little flirting and the Khurana charm, it had not been hard for Vicky to convince Pinky to give him the notes, since he had said he was going to Geet's house anyway. Of course, the unknown factor of the plan was the involvement of one Maan Khurana and how to convince him to deliver the notes without rousing his suspicions. Once again, thank Babaji, before the two cupids needed to come up with an effective plan to trap their brother into delivering the notes, the got the perfect opportunity to dump the whole note delivering scheme into his lap when he called Vicky. Of course, Vicky did not tell his brother that in actuality he was standing just outside the college building when he received his call, he really did not think he could come up with a better plan that this because for one thing, his brother never refuses him anything and second because he knew maan would never let down Geet in any matter. So back to the plan, they have their fingers crossed in all hopes that this new plan works, they really did not want their brother to revert to his brooding ways.
Now, one very ill concealed secret in the Khurana household is the fact that Vicky is a complete mummy's boy, therefore the unwritten rule was to not let vicky know anything which you did not want eventually spilled completely to Payal Khurana. So as the matters goes, of course it was only inevitable before Vicky inadvertently let it spill to his mom, all that which was happening with Maan and Geet. The problem with this you ask, well it was not the fact that Mrs. Payal Khurana did not like Geet, infact she loved her and thought her the perfect match for her Maan, and it was also not the fact that she had been secretly planning their wedding for a long time now, no the problem with this was the fact that her best friend in this world was none other than Rano Handa, Geet's mom and also the worst secret keeper in the Handa family. So you see, the spilled beans spread like wildfire from Vicky to his mom to geet's mom to Geet's family. So imagine, its hard enough to confess ones love without the interference of the family, at least then you can do it chupke chupke, but having now to contend with family lurking close to wherever you are just waiting for you to confess. *shudders*. But yes, so the Handa family, well the female half of the Handa family, was now very aware that Maan was coming over to their house with notes, and also the reason behind Geet's sudden and unexpected need to stay at home. Never ones to back down, they all in their own way decided to help out the couple. First step in helping, make sure Geet looks perfect, yes Maan had seen Geet before many times, but this was the first time he was coming as the decided suitor, so they needed to step up the looks. Second step, make sure the house was perfect. Third step, keep the men away from the house for as long as possible, or at least attempt to give the couple time away from the Handa men. Though the family, including the men, had long ago approved of Maan for Geet, the men were still very protective of Geet, their princess, so as to put the least dampener on the love birds, the men needed to be kept away for now. So the Handa women strategize and somehow managed to do all that without alarming Geet and the men. Finally the stage is ready for Mrs. vs. Mrs. Khurana: Round 2, on the left corner is one Mr. Maan Khurana, 5'11 male, handsome, smart, dressed to kill, armed and ready to confess, loser in round 1 of this fight; on the right corner is the lovely Ms. Geet Hands, 5'6, female, beautiful, smart, dressed perfectly in a green and gold anarkali style very well fitting dress, carrying classic plan wrenching skills, completely oblivious to the coming match, default winner of round 1. Let the games begin.
