Chapter 53

Maan took Abs to his house and showed her around as they entered it. Abs was impressed with the decor, simple and elegant. Neutral colors with an accent here and there to bring a new color in the palate that was harmonious. The living room was spacious not overly so but big enough to accommodate twenty people comfortably, with sofas and arms chairs in dark brown and cream stripes. The walls were beige and gold wallpaper that gave the room its elegance. The curtains were rich beige damask print with gold valance. The sofas and arm chairs had maroon cushions that added accents to the room and brought out the mahogany furniture.

The rest of the house was also done tastefully with the bedroom looking it was a pleasure zone. Maan loved huge beds and that was the central piece here only it was big round one with a semi circle head board and cushions in dark blue on a otherwise ebony bed. The furniture was all ebony with white walls and a huge painting of Monet was hanging over the bed. It read Le Coucher Du Soleil La Seine, the French impressionist's painting must have cost a fortune Abs mused. Abs asked about it and he said that he had been a gift by a friend in France who had a collection of them.

They moved to the terrace after touring the house. They stood watching the half moon for sometime, each in their thoughts. Abs had seen a shutter come down in his eyes after she had asked him about the painting. She did wonder who the friend was but had not asked for details. He stood behind her after sometime, holding her shoulders and then running his hands up and down her arms. He asked softly, "You want to count the stars?" Abs turned and looked at him and nodded. She did not know, Maan was so romantic. He told her to wait there and he went down to get a rug couple of cushions and a quilt. He came back up after few minutes with some water and supplies and spread the rug and threw the cushions on it.

He signaled Abs to come onto rug and lie down. She smiled and went up to him and took his outstretched hand and sat down.

He said, "Lay down," patting the place next to him for her and he laid down himself and asked Abs to put her head in crook formed by his shoulder and arm. The both lay facing the sky and Maan took her hand in his lacing them together as they started their star gazing. They identified all the stars they knew each pointing it and showing the other. As Abs showed him the Orion, the sword and the shield formed with the cluster of bright constellation, she turned her face towards him to find him watching her instead of the sky. She asked him silently with her eyes and he just pulled her on top of him, making her sit astride him. He put his arms around her waist holding her to him. He pulled her closer by moving his hands up her body and then in her hair and kissed her. He showed her stars not just in the sky but between them with a kiss, the passion held in check poured over to Abs who shuddered in anticipation of what was in store for her.

He whispered,"how about that private bridal shower for me Cherie! The ones you girls had planned." Abs blushed as she sat on top of him around his waist and put her hands on his chest to clench his shirt in her fists and say, "stop teasing me, I will show you exactly what you want to see on our wedding night. Till then' have patience."

He just pulled her back to him and turned her over with her now under him and kissed her to show how much the wait was making him impatient. Abs smiled and gave into the bliss of his arms around her and a kiss that was promise of things to come.

Faz had looked at Adi as she had asked him to kiss her. Adi's eyes had rounded in surprise but he knew when his wish was being fulfilled. He quickly leaned forward and captured her lips with his in a kiss that was sweet and tentative. He was not sure if he should deepen it for they were right outside her home. Faze had no qualms and put her hands around his neck and leaned into him to kiss back. He tasted her lips, delicate and supple and could not stop himself from trying to bring her closer but the gear shift came in the way and in frustration he moved back muttering, "you had pick you timing right now, Faz? I can't even kiss you without obstruction." Just then a light went on in the porch and they flew apart from each other and Faz quickly opened the car door and went towards the house with head bent not looking behind.

Arjun had driven to his farm house and taken Nupur in. He knew he wanted to gather her in his arms but he offered her a drink to calm his nerves and thrumming of his heart as well as slow down and not rush Nupur. Nupur asked for a soft drink and they both sat on a couch sipping their drink. Arjun gazed at Nupur above the glass as she drank hers. She returned his gaze with a questioning look willing him to speak something.

Arjun opened the conversation with, "Tell me about you Nupur. I find you fascinating. I find I am attracted to you like I have never been attracted to a woman before. Ever since I met you, I have had dreams about you."

Nupur spluttered. She almost sprayed the drink she was sipping. Arjun smiled as if recollecting their first wet meeting. She put the drink on the nearby table and said, "what do you want to know? I cannot believe you are so frank! You find me fascinating!"

Arjun moved closer on the couch after putting his drink down as well. He took her hand in his. "do you find it strange? I find you more than fascinating but I am not saying anything because I don't want you getting scared of me and running away. I don't say things I don't mean Nupur. I have a clutter free mind. I say it as I see it. I want you. I have said it before and I am saying it again. But I am not sure if you want to hear that. So I am trying to do the decent thing here and taking a few steps back. I want to know you. All of you. Now I have rambled." He stopped seeing Nupur's eyes widen with every sentence he had spoken. She was dumbfounded. Could a man be this straight forward? She wondered.

Nupur did not know what to say so she just closed the gap and kissed him, without touching him anywhere else just his lips. His eyes closed. He felt a tingling inside him at her soft lips touching his. He felt as if he had found his oasis. His haven. He then pulled her to him, taking her body on his, as he fell back against the arm of the couch. He kissed her in earnest. Giving her as well as taking sweetness of lips with a firmness that told his control of the situation and himself. He was exploring, her mouth, her reaction to the taste of him. But held himself in check. He did not want to rush her. He had all the time in the world and he wanted to woo her.

He slowly sat up with her still in his arms and then settled her a bit away from him.

"I could take you to bed right now and make you see what I said with words but I want to take it slow. I want to know you before I bed you. I may be an American but I like the old world charm of courtship. I am going to court you Nupur. I am going to take you on a date, a movie, dinner, dance everything to make you see what it would be like to be with me." He did not know he could speak so much. This woman seemed to be having an effect on him that was phenomenal. He was a man who did not speak much and here he seemed to be laying down his intent in prose.

Nupur just stared at him unblinking. Was this man for real? In this day and age, he stopped but says he intends to woo her. Wow! Where had he been all this time?

She the one who talked non stop for a change had nothing to say. She was overwhelmed with this guy's sincerity, with passion that took her to her days of reading historical romance. She just kept on looking at him till he put a finger under chin and signaled her to reply.

She said, "Yes!" Arjun smiled satisfied.

Vicky had picked Nargis up once inside the bedroom and whispered how much he craved her. Nargis responded to his ministrations. There was such chemistry between them that denying each other the pleasure that they gave one another never came to her mind. She joined in the dance that was now familiar to her but Vicky seemed to bring a new dimension every time. It was his novel way of making love to her each and every time that made her breathless like it was the first time. She was blissfully happy to wrap herself around him and take him deep inside her and reach that oh so delicious peak that only two of them could reach.

He whispered "I adore you Zeno!"

Stargazing was something I always did as a kid 😛 ! Maan's got a beautiful place and decor sounds so regal...funny how that's the type of decor I wish to have at some point for my house! Vrushali, when did you start probing so deep in my mind???😲 Hmm, that French painting and that reaction from hubby-to-be.....lagta hai khatre ki ghanti bajegi Maabs ke liye..Is it what I'm thinking Vrushali?😲 Chalo we'll see deal with that when the time for it comes...And Maan, hmm what do I say? ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️😳😍 Sensing the intensity of his passion sometimes scares me....kya karoon......Nargis ne lesson complete nahin ki! 😉😆 And I love how I keep my stand despite whatever that kambakht heart of mine says to just let go and flow down the ocean of passion.
